Is he holding onto and sucking on his tail in that stone slab? The more I analyze it it just gets more weird.

@Utora: EDIT: No. I don't think the lion is suppose to be sucking his tail. It was actually a decorative piece that was at the top of a support column once. I forget exactly where I was in Israel at the time. But, my tour guide told me that was the god of fertility. I wish I remember where I was.
And, the only reason I am using it as a avatar is because it is a lion.
