I seriously hate this. It's possibly 5 or so weeks now without internet, cable, or a home phone. Yeah, I can still use my cell to be online, however even the cell is becoming a pain. Having no means of sitting at a computer to be online this long is driving me crazy. @.@

Can't you use your cellphone as a modem on the computer to go online? I remember doing that back in the day. I don't know what kind of phone you have but you can at least check in to that as one option.

I have no idea how that works, lol. I use the T-mobile G1 but never heard of a phone being used as a modem. O.o

I would google it. I also know that there is those things you attache to your USB port that you insert sim card in and you use it as connection. Those have pretty good connectivity as well. My parents have one that is 10mb/1mb ( it's actually faster than the internet I'm using right now )

I'll see what comes up, interesting option. Lol though I don't know much of technology, depending. So I'll need to google this wimax thing too.

You just need to find a wimax or 4g or 3g-modem provider on your area! Remember, it's not a fixed line so you may disappoint with the frequent breakdown connection while downloading or watching an online video!

Hmm, don't think this modem stuff is reallly gonna work out. =/ Thanks for the help though, guys.

In order for me to get a modem (and dvr box) again is to pay the $400 something to reconnect. X.x Seriously have no clue when that'll happen. Been a very rough month so far. Not just with no internet either. There's the thing with food and gas and all those other things that pile up.

I'm still hoping things will get better.

I hate to be the realistic jerk here, but that is how us lower-class working people live our lives. I use a library computer to come here. I get by on broadcast TV and DVDs. I usualy have to borrow a neighbor's or family member's cell or use a payphone to make any calls.

It bothers me how people don't realize what they have until the no longer have it. And when they don't have it, instead of looking for alternate ways to get by and realizing what non-technological stuff life offers, they just sit and complain all day. There is a big world out there, my friend. Enjoy it.

Our time on this planet is precious, and can be snuffed out at any moment. Every second of every day should mean something.

Um, I'm quite aware of these things. I just felt a need to rant... I've been reading and watching dvd's. Not that I despise doing those things either. I love reading. It's just I get ideas in my head for wanting to do stuff and I'm unable to do so without a computer. So I feel my creativity is quite stuck and it'll make my head explode, lol.

I go to the library when we're able, depending if we have gas in the car to really go anywhere. Not to mention if we even get money for food. Sorry if my need to this out bothers you. =/
