Oh wow, you're on fire with your uploads lately, Azzy. I wish the same could be said about me.I like the one you just posted, especially the bright and bold colours in there. Again, Scar has his typical "dry" expression. The Mufasa one is great too, I struggle to draw him myself. Great job. ^^
And what's this? New artwork from KS? Never!
Now time for something a little more traditional.
Last Monday I bought myself a new sketch book, and I couldn't help but use that as an excuse to try my hand on working on some new pictures (like I said in the Art Dilemma Thread, it really helps to try out something new when you're going through an art block). This time I decided to use my Graphic Soft pencils instead and do something a bit more traditional.
Here, you can see Katai (it's Katai, not Simba, as you can see with the little tuft of hair in the middle of his forehead) making his way across some mountains and lakes. I could've really done with my 9B pencil for some darker shades (it broke a while ago
) but I'm happy with the contrast and shading in general. So much that I've framed it on my wall too.
The sky could be a bit better though, I think.
And I'll let you in on a secret... an eraser comes in very handy for lighter tones. Smudging with a tissue is good too.
