I can't decide if I want to go fretless, though. However, if I did go fretless, I think I'd want the outlines of where the frets would go.

your right, sliding is crap with frets its just sounds like cheesy music for going down stairs,it can be annoying on guitars on the lower e strings aswellIt would also be easier to slide on a fretless.

I Play both Alto and Tenor Sax (very well) , some piano (not very well though), and I can kind of play the dulcimer
you guys sound very talented I have always wanted to play the flute but haven't gotten around to it , however i have played piano for about 4 almost 5 years i went back and forth from several different teachers though so i am not as good as i could have been if i wouldn't have been switched so many times!
...which reminds me, I need to practice my trumpet!! I'd rather not at the mo...
