Pixel Art (& requests)
I'm really inspired by pixel art.
It is my hope to soon build a project with gaming interface similar to Super NES. I'm not sure how long that will take me, but my first priority is artwork.
(not animated)
(animated)
(about 25 minutes to make - feel free to use him anywhere)
'..practice makes perfect'
I've got a long road ahead, but I'll be needing some characters to work with (as this will be lion themed).
I'll take up to 4 at a time, requests. I'll need a reference of your character.
I may use your character in multiple poses for a .gif image, but I'll submit it here for you.
Or, I may just make a non-animated base. Either way you get to keep it, and I get to practice.
I'll also be posting my updated side work here (pixel-tlk related).
Comments and suggestions are appreciated.
Soon I'll start implementing more detail to make it more stunning. Right now it's rustic.
Also if anyone knows anything about gaming software for simple game systems, let me know!

Wow! Those pixel Scars are amazing!
As for feedback, the shading and detail is excellent, however, if I was you I'd adjust the outline colour of the muzzle as it isn't as clearly defined as the main body colour, but other than that I'd say it is fantastic!!!
If you ever wanted some more practise, could you do a pixel Chimalsi? http://lionobsession.deviantart.com/...-Ref-470350723
It would help with mane styles!
I can't wait to see more!

Finished Kiva's piece. I used a free .gif site to run it together, so it is a little rough.
Running to Busa
With my software I'll make him smoother, and he may be a primary character in my game.
Thanks to old TLK Super NES Sprites...
@lionobsession;
Thanks very much!
I will start a pixel with your character next.

The Yorkie Lioness
These pixels are looking great! And I like the running Kiva. Animating is quite a skill, but you seem to pull it off pretty well.
I would really love to see Namabi all pixelated:

Looking forward to seeing more!

I'll be starting yours side by side with lionobsessions and update here when it's completed.

Reviving this. Update to the project: I now am familiar with the gaming software, have tiles, some backgrounds, and am about done with basic sprites.
I'll be making a mini project that will go live before my major project is complete, mostly to get familiar with the software, the art style, and torubleshoot it with players before things get serious!
My recent sprite, Utora:
