hmm, well I've ranted about this many times before because peoples views on TLK around here is awful....
TLK is not a "kids" movie, ok Kids can watch it, many enjoy it blah blah blah but it dosn't mean adults, teenagers and anyone eles can't enjoy the movie.
My parents don't mind, most of my friends don't mind either but both think I should stop drawing so many lions and cats, I can draw what I like though :P They keep saying I should try more realistic things which I do! This is why I like art lesson I have time to focuss on realistic stuff and I feel more motivated rather than at home.
I don't have a MASSIVE TLK collection, quite a few toys, a poster, dvd collection and video oh and tons of drawings.
People at school don't seem to say anything much about it yet all know I'm TLK fan of the year/school, so there's on doubt about it that people in my year/school find me weird. Also people I meet....
Met a guy on msn, after 3/4 months he bloked and un added me and didn't want to meet me again because of TLK, o_0,...Jerk.....

The Yorkie Lioness
Heh, my mum can sometimes come up to me and tell me that I'm a bit too old for TLK but usually, that's what my sister used to say when she first discovered I liked it. I didn't tell anyone until they found out.
My dad knows jack all so it isn't much of a big deal.
But yeah, they've known I've been a TLK fan for a while now and really, they couldn't care less so meh. *shrugs*
Lea members I've had the pleasure of meeting in person: Sharifu, Sadiki, This Land, Nathalie, Lucy, Lion King Stu, Taneli, KanuTGL, Shadow, Revo and Leorgathar

At first I wanted to be an animator but I am rubbish at animating and too lazy
More or less same reason why my parents don't have a problem with my liking TLK really

I was warming up for a gig at a theatre. I played COL on the drums (I was listening to the music while i was playing) and then this girl walked by and then she peeked into the door. I took a look at what she was doing and she mouthed "COL" cause obviously I had earphones on and was drumming, so, you get the idea .
My parents don't really know, but my bros do. They bug me all the time. It's funny though, some of my classmates don't seem to mind.

..........Seems like I'm the only one who's
leading a hard life having TLK as a most favorable movie.
In this country, people who are obsessed in things
normal people won't usually be obsessed in, like certain
2D animation characters, or specific voice actors
specialized in dubing films, and etc, are called
'Otaku' (similar to a maniac but in a more negative point of view)
and are basically frowned upon and pointed at in the society.
So it's a huge risk to tell in front of many people
that watching animations is one of your hobbies,
and that's the main reason I don't speak a word of
it in front of anyone I know.
As for my parents... since they think they're one of the most normal,
most intelligent, most righteous people in the world,
they try their best efforts to block me doing any abnormal things,
and gouge all the TLKness out of my head ever
since they discovered I was TLK crazy.
And that's exactly how my very first(and last) TLK merchandise
[The Lion King Disney Special Platinum Edition Collector's Gift Set]
went straight to the garbage can, 30$ down the drain.
pretty strict huh?
I figure once they find out my PC is packed with TLK related files,
they'll just chuck the PC out the window.
Oh well... as the proverb says
'When in Rome, do as Romans do.'
Guess I'll have live with it untill I earn enough $ to
get out of this wretched place.
As for now..........

Eh, nobody even really knows I'm a 'fan' -- I have a TLKoB shirt that I wear to school occasionally, but that's it. As for my mom, she really doesn't care, and she thinks I like TLK more than I actually do.
I get more crap about liking Green Day, actually, which is weird.

My mom thinks I'm a dork, and rolls her eyes and tells me nto to buy any of the TLK plushies I see. But she doesn't like ANYTHING I do so it doesn't really matter. My dad doesn't care that much. He's more of a "Whatever makes you happy" Kinda guy.
My friends don't mind.... if they did they wouldn't be my friends. They have to accept me for who I am.
My one friend just kinda says "You and your Lion King..." Thats about it.
