    Question Good god...

    They look like......aliens.

What kind of cruel, sick, and twisted thing will Warner Bros. do next?

Anybody else notice Bugs looks alot like the Gremlins?

For a moment there, I didn't even recognise that they were Looney Tunes.

I guess they are Looney Tunes. They look easy to color - black + solid.

They're going to be in a show called Loonatics, I believe. Here's a reveiw my friend did:

In the latest trend of "Xtreme!!!" marketing, Warner Brothers has decided to create a cartoon starring Bugs, Daffy, and the whole gang. The premise is that it's set in the far future, and they are a team of superheroes.

Sounds okay at the start, but if you're expecting Duck Dodgers in the 24th and 1/2 Century, guess again. They've been "updated" to look meaner, sleeker, more. . .XTREME!!!

I could be wrong. Maybe they'll still have the same old sarcastic, witty attitudes they've always had, but looking at them in that picture, I doubt it. I just can't see that Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck trading "Duck season!" and "Rabbit season!" back and forth.

But is anyone else tired of this "XTREME!!!" marketing trend? And superheroes who are essentially just ripoffs of the Batman cartoon series (sharp edges, no eye pupils, etc).

Notice that Porky isn't in that group photo? Kinda hard to give a round pig sharp edges, and a speech impediment doesn't go in line with "XTREME!!!" Elmer Fudd is probably still in. Sure, he has an odd manner of speaking, too, but he's bald, which goes in with typical villain style.

And here's what some of my other friends say about his review:

    "Oh m'gosh.

    Are they kidding?"

    "...That was a serious article?

I read about this a couple of days ago, but I assumed it was joke. I mean, it's just such a stupid idea. I was sure that it was satire.

Make it stop, that's all I can say. Yes, I'm extremely tired of the "Xtreme" thing in cartoons. One of the reasons I like "A Very Possible Christmas" so much- it points out exactly how stupid that "Xtreme" business is. (It also belittles traditionalism, but I won't get in to that)

All I can say is how thankful I am that we not only have classic Looney Tune cartoons on DVD, but also on Cartoon Network. Wouldn't it be great if the traditional cartoon got higher ratings than the new one? I hope it does."

" notice that Lola Bunny is in that line-up...which is probably a bad sign...

Everyone knows that Lola was only introduced through Space Jam by means of pandering to all the politically correct zealots out there...why do they still insist on keeping her? I can understand their desire to include a couple of female characters, but what's wrong with the two classic ladies, Granny and Penelope? Those two don't reek of market-testing gone bad, something which Lola comes up to the tip of her ears in.

Unfortunately, I think this is serious. After all, we'd all do well to remember that they went ahead with Baby Looney Tunes, one of the most bland, schmaltzy and horribly PC pieces of drivel I've ever seen in my life (Porky Pig got severly sidelined in that cartoon too - though this female pig who'd I'd never heard of before was there - see what I mean about it being horribly-PC? Let's ignore the fact that every single character, Sylvester and Tweety included, acted like best friends for 100% of the time...).

I've just realised that all I do is complain nowadays. You guys must think I'm turning into a regular sourpuss.

And if anyone here likes Lola Bunny or Baby Looney Tunes, then my apologies in advance."

"Oh my gosh. What did they do to them?! They look evil and sadistic!

I'm oficially creeped out now. How much can you ruin a classic?"

    "They look demonic.

And at least half of the appeal of Looney Tunes is the witty writing.

This is another show I definitely will NOT be watching . . ."

"I've known about this one for a while. Take a look at this article. It's kinda interesting.

    http://news.toonzone.net/article.ph...e8cf1b2131290af"

"Good God but they look freakingly eval!!! *shudders* I never cared much for the original Looney Toons, but I think I'd takem them over these scary looking characters anyday."

"My mom told me about this and I thought she was just making a sick joke. Sad to see that it is actually true. How low do people have to stoop? I thought the orgional was just fine, so did my parents and their parents. Commercialism has gone too far this time. I was worried about Disney, but now I see the coruuption has leaked over to other networks and shows too. I weep for the youth of tomorrow. "
And this is what I said to them XD:

    "O_O

    They look like.......aliens.

I think they put Lola Bunny in there just so Bugs can have a girlfriend. XD

    TeH hOrR0r!

THIS IS JUST SICK AND WRONG!

"We're talking freaks of nature!" "

I knew they were something to do with Looney Toons, mostly because of the name.

...but yeah, they do look sorta weird...and it looks stupid.

Heh, I kinda figured that it had something to do with Looney Tunes at first when I saw it. Well, I comment that it is...very 'different'. I wonder who's Eisner's twin working at Warner Bros.

Hehe Starlioness... That pic is pretty good. Whoever drew it.

I don't really care... I don't watch TV too much. And I was never really a Looney Tunes fan, I like more serious animation.

It's not really that big of a deal guys, new episodes of Looney Tunes aren't being made, it's not like WB stopped making Looney Tunes to make this new show.
Thank you to the talented KanuTGL for my avatar!
