    Hard Times Ahead

Okay. Here's the problem: my parents are as paranoid as Simba in Simba's Pride. They're about to install parental controls on my computer, which surprises me because I've had it for almost a year now and they haven't gotten around to it.

Now, I can probably get around to figuring out how to disable the program, or just crack the password or something, but until then I may have to lower the amount of time I spend on MSN & AIM, just to protect my own privacy as well as that of my friends.

So, for now, I bid you good times. I'll probably be back soon. =)

I can't stand parental control things, I had one on my pc for fun just to see what would happen and it wouldn't let me join Lea , well if you can let me know the name of the program I will see what I can do to help you delete your history on it for your privacy

haha. *looks around* why am i the only one laughing like i have something to hide? XD

anyway. i think i've got it sorted. there's a little button that lets you sign out of it... and that's kind of really dumb, but there's a popup window that appears when you're not signed in...

*moves it out of the way*

Edit: it seems that it blocks port 80 while it's not logged in. i can use AIM & MSN, but not Firefox or IE... >_<

Get a keylogger for your comp and hack their password...
Careful while dowloading keyloggers though, they may contain keyloggers themselves.

actually, i've figured out that it's not possible to do that because i'd have to have direct access to their computer. the version installed on my computer is a client. the one on theirs is a server. so i'm screwed unless they go out for a couple hours and i have some time to crack.

or i could always do some phishing. have them register at a fake intranet website to gather their passwords.

then again, they can probably read exactly what i'm writing right now because their dumb thing probably has a keylogger built in.

i'm gonna try disabling the network next...

Edit: okay, i guess they're not as stupid as i take them for. time to bust out with my l33t hacking tools. ctrl-alt-delete, processes tab, *kills process*

    w00t! it worked!

Parental controls ruin all your fun, what the hell did they think you were gonna use it for when you got it, homework?

    jk

But really, just tell them it's your computer and you're old enough to be trusted to handle yourself responsibly on the computer. Hit them with the "If you keep spying on everything I do and shield me from the world, how am I ever going to become an independent and functioning adult in society?" question. That seems to work most of the time.

It's the other way around for me KS.

Glad to see you've find the back door Prince Simba. I don't know much about hacking, but I do know just enough to get around computers, connections, files, codes etc etc and now parental controls thanks to Prince Simba.
