Discussions about TLK from the 90's (usenet archives etc)

So back in 2013 when Google Groups were still usable I searched for some discussions about The Lion King from the time it was still in a production.

Someone watched unfinished version of the movie:

Walt Disney Feature Animation Prez Peter Schneider says TLK is
the first Disney film to have a character die on screen.
It's like a quote from a "Truman Show"!
    - Well, Christof, I can't thank you enough for giving so generously of your time tonight. I think it's safe to say now that this crisis is behind us and Truman is back to his old self, we can look forward to some exciting new developments?
    - Well, Mike, the big news is that Meryl will be leaving Truman in an upcoming episode, and a new romantic interest will be introduced. I'm determined television's first on-air conception will still take place.
    - Well, another television milestone straight ahead. You heard it here first. It has been a singular honor and pleasure, sir. Christof... thank you.
