    Favourite Song from TLG Pilot

I thought it would be fun to have a poll on everyone's favourite song from the pilot episode of The Lion Guard.

My favourite is probably a tie between Tonight We Strike and the end title Here Comes the Lion Guard. But for the sake of songs actually in the show I'd definitely have to go with Tonight We Strike, it's quite menacing and has some great lyrics and sound to it.

Here's links to the songs so you can have another listen if you're stuck for a decision

Haha alright, I'll go with Here Comes The Lion Guard. It's incredibly catchy and always manages to get me in a good mood

I love Kion's Lament is my second favourite, it's just so utterly adorable x3. But I appreciate the greatness of Tonight We Strike, it was so unexpectedly good

I agree with Azzy :3 Here Comes The Lion Guard is definitely my overall favourite, but for the songs actually in the show, Tonight We Strike wins out by far

It shall be said that I'm pretty fond of Zuka Zama too. It's catchy and energetic and I just enjoy it It's a Beautiful Day is nice as well, I love the Swahili <3 I found Kion's Lament to be the weakest entry, actually. It doesn't grab my attention like the others do and just is sort of forgettable for me. I think it's kind of... bland, perhaps? The scene it appears in is nice, but feels rushed, and the song just seems like a way to speed things along even more.

I agree that Kion's Lament is a nice song, for me it's a bit too pop sounding with the vocals to fit in, it's nice but too short and agreed that it's a little bland. I like it, it's just not exciting for me to want to sing. Whereas Tonight We Strike has been stuck in my head for days

I'm wondering who voted for Zuka Zama I can't say that I share the same sentiments about it, haha. A bit too repetitive for me, I enjoy the song, it's upbeat and has a nice sound, but it needed a wider variety of lyrics. It also bothered me that it was the first song sung by a character, as it was clearly just a blatant attention grabbing moment for children

So, I haven't actually seen the pilot yet...but I did listen to the songs (thanks for the links!) and I gotta say the two standouts are definitely Here Comes the Lion Guard and Tonight We Strike. Zuka Zama is kind of catchy but a) it reminds me a lot of Take Your Sweet Sweet Time from the Jungle Cubs (which I find to be so much better) and b) Bunga kind of annoys me. I don't know if it's his attitude or design or both but...when he's on screen I feel myself wincing a lot.

Thinking about it some more, it probably only reminds me of the song from the Jungle Cubs because it has a similar "here is my life motto" theme and because Baloo's character is like what I was hoping Bunga's character would be. Like, cool or something. They really don't sound alike at all. ^^; But it still reminded me of the song instantly nevertheless.

I wish we have a multiple choices because I love 'em all equally.

But my choice: Here Comes the Lion Guard.

Haha, I selected "Zuka Zama" on behalf of my little daughter. She really loves it and whenever I watch "Return of the Roar" she just says "Zuka Zama!"
I guess that prooves how the song works especially well with little children. My daughter is two years old now :P

As for me, I really can't decide. I like "Zuka Zama" as well and I also showed it in my language class at school (10-12 years old) and they quite enjoyed it. That surprised me, but it's really catchy. However, I also agree on it being a little bit to repetitive. I also enjoyed "A beautiful day" and "Here comes the Lion Guard" pretty much.

At first, I didn't like "Tonight we strike" at all. I just seemed so strange and hyper with all those colors... And on top of that it reminded me of "Ruby's Song" from "Quest for Camelot" and I thought that song way awful... Okay, that doesn't do "Tonight we strike" any justice. I know...
It's just the way this "villain song" was placed that reminded me of Ruby's Song. You know... the villain explaining his evil plan to his minions? And it also reminded me of "This is Halloween" from "Nightmare before Christmas" so I was a bit startled at first.
But then it really grew on me and now I love that song. Can't get it out of my head. So I can't really decide if I should pick this or "Here comes the Lion Guard"... Sorry ^^'

Oh and I also liked "Kion's lament" when the first short clip with it was released. But when it comes to the song as a whole, I totally agree with you. It's nice but a little bit to "mainstream" and to short, obviously.

So these were just my two cents. I'm curious on how the new songs in the show will be. Especially the one with the hyena ^^

I have discovered that it takes me exactly 3 "Here Comes the Lion Guard"s to get home from school in the afternoons.

When I have the choice now, I would vote for "Call of the Lion Guard", which I posted in the other thread. Although it really sounds a little like the Avengers theme, just with African vocals, but I like. If I need to choose between the songs in this thread, I would pick "It's a beautiful day" or "Here comes the Lion Guard". Kions Lament is also fine, but "We Strike Tonight" was torture, and not only for my ears, but rather for the eyes with that strange color scheme they picked. Even the hyenas are not that silly. xD

I haven't been able to listen to Call of the Lion Guard yet, video wasn't available for me and I haven't been able to find it anywhere else. Will have to do a bigger poll later with all the songs from the soundtrack

I loved all of the songs except for "Tonight We Strike". It wasn't terrible or anything, it just wasn't one I liked that much. I find myself singing the others in my head a lot these days...they are catchy and I love em'!
