Lira was excited, today her father, Yufa, had formally turned over the title of Regent. She was now the Matriarch of the hyena clan. She had played with lions when she was but a pup, and respected them, even called them "friends." But she was a bit nervous... she had to go before the King today...

She trotted up to pride rock, smiling at Kopa as she remembered when she had tried to purr in front of him.

"I come to greet the King of pride rock! My father, Regent Yufa, has stepped down, and I am now the Matriarch of the Hyena Clan. I offer our friendship and loyalty." She smiled.

Yufa nuzzled Lira gently, in hyena fashion. Lira was built much like her uncle, Mesa. Strong, raised shoulders and powerful muscles. But she had the gentleness of her father.

"Now my daughter, you have the respect of the lions, and the loyalty of the Clan. I am so proud of you!" Yufa exclaimed in front of the lions, much to Lira's embarassment.

Namabi who is still King of the Funsani Pride steps forward, "Hey there. I'm Namabi the king of the Funsani Pride, this is my son Leo and my daughter Leana, and far at the back is Lunara, the queen of the pride." Namabi nods and smiles to Lira and Yufa.

"I remember you... I was kind of scared of you as a pup." Lira said. "But I never knew you were a king!" Lira said, looking around at his family.
