Haha, a wise decision... If I had made choices like that when I was younger, I probably wouldn't be nearly desensitized as I am now, but at least now I don't have to worry about being scared/grossed out by links these days.
Those links are only bad when you already know what's going to happen. It just builds up. When I don't expect it to happen, it's fine.
