I just got my copy of the book "The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar" by Disney Press.

The pictures are really nice and it's a great book to have. However, I'm a little bit disappointed, because we don't get to see Nala, Tiifu or Zuri . Additionally, the story seems a little bit short. For example, in the trailer we saw that Kiara had to escape a stampede caused by the hyenas. There's nothing about that in the book, so I think we're in for a few more surprises in the final movie

When TLG finally airs we already saw the whole movie in little pieces.

The Lion Guard seems like an alternate story from Simba's Pride, not only because Kiara and Kion seem like around the same age, but Kiara seems like she has a different personality. In that clip, she is more accepting and willing of the idea of becoming queen and seems, I don't know, a bit snobby? But in Simba's Pride she seems more bubbly and care free and she says to Simba, "I don't want to be queen! It's no fun."

I guess she's a bit older in TLG, so this would take place some time after the We Are One scene, when Kiara accepts that she'll be future queen :P but eh, who knows ><

I'm pretty taken aback by what they've done with Kiara in the other clip too. I'm really starting to think that this is an alternate storyline, because that is not Kiara's personality oO

I love the cave painting visuals, it looks really nice, but the storytelling... well... this line:

"But Simba found new friends, Timon and Pumbaa, and he grew great in size and stature. They helped him realize the kind of king he could be, so Simba returned to Pride Rock and defeated Scar."

Ok, I can forgive almost every mistake they've been doing so far. Hell, I can even forgive the whole Kiara thing if it proves it can work in the series. But... taking off Nala's most important role in TLK and giving the credit to Timon and Pumbaa for it? (who by the way did the exact opposite of that with their Hakuna Matata apathy lesson xP)
Not even a mention of Nala? Seriously!?

We got most likely the first minute of the Zuka Zama song and a new making of.
The synchronization of Timon is very good and they show a little bit more of the other characters beside TLG.

I'm about to watch it tonight!! I haven't seen any clips aside from the initial trailer, as I wanted to see the movie without having seen most of it in the trailers first. I'll post on the other thread after but I'm excited after catching up with this thread though, I must say I'm on team why-does-kiara-have-to-be-a-cub-and-where's-kovu. Stoked though!!!
