Timon & Pumbaa go wold about saftey: Safety Smart

    Hey there!

I came across this series called "Timon and Pumbaa go wild about saftey - Saftey smart" a few years ago and I haven't found a thread about this here yet.

These episodes are short clips in which Timon and Pumbaa show little children how to act properly in dangerous situations. For example if theres a fire or when they go swimming.

Recently, some new episodes have been released and so I thought I'd share some clips with you.

There are currently the following episodes:

    • Wild about safety - At Home

    • Wild about safety Goes Green

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYP2_wsDkV4

    • Wild about safety - In the Water

    • Wild about safety - About Fire

    • Wild about safety - Health and Fit

    • Wild about safety - Online

    • Wild about safety - Honest & Real

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3l14...t4DRhczjXxEP9g

    • Wild about Safetly - On the Go

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VgKHNHfxX0

Has anyone of you already watched these epsiodes? What do you think of them? Pumbaa's animation is quite nice. However I dislike Timon's voice. They didn't hire Nathan Lane nor Kevin Schon this time

Thank you for that nice Avatar, Atimon.

I know there are video's from these series, not sure there are DVD's?

I've wanted to get the VHS for a while now from ebay, but I fail to check if my VCR can play the US tapes. I believe it does, but I need to be sure, but I always forget, lol.

They also have a pin series "wild about safety" it's a series of 12 pins.

Wow, never heard of this--when did they make this series? The animation actually looks pretty good!

Hehe, they're pretty cute. I love how Pumbaa is the safe, smart one, and Timon's just silly

This is actually inspired by a series of cards and posters they use at the Disney parks to promote safe habits while visiting. The DVDs are available through Disney Educational and are really overpriced. Last time I got a catalog to order with at school was in October and they were $30 each. They have some funny clip art in the brochure too. I'll see if I kept it and I'll scan them sometime if I did.

    There's 8 DVD's.
I looked online, can't seem to find any of them to watch. I may not be looking good enough though.

The website isn't all that much, but it has some games on it, hehe.
There's actually also a pin-set from this, with some safety rules for the parks.

They also have placards in the buses at the parks and there used to be a card set. I'm not sure if they still have those or not.

I want to get the DVDs to use in my classroom

Since I can't really find decent footage of what's on the DVD's, I'm finding them a bit too expensive, especially since there are quite a few.

I found them on Amazon the other day for about $9 each new. Sometimes I get mailings from Disney Educational with promos and deals on the DVDs. I'll keep an eye out.

The Timon and Pumbaa show is so ridiculous it makes me laugh like crazy....and this is more icing on the cake. Seriously, this stuff is so bad, it's great!

I forgot to post this, but the resorts are now showing these on resort TV. We watched all of them over the course of a few nights in November. It was pretty great haha.

I think Disneyland Paris was showing this too at the AP bureau.
I taped a tiny bit with my phone, lol.
Because they also have leaflets about safety from Timon & Pumbaa, so figured it was from the show.
Didn't look like the regular Timon & Pumbaa show.

It actually has a lot of reused animation from the movie.
