"Bond, James Bond." - Sean Connery

    Seeing it... Yes!

Not to spoil the thread or anything..but the cursing (especially like so) is really supposed to stay at a minimum/not happen.

Anyways..idk if I will see it. I mean..I want to in one sense...but also it is a little weird to see someone else playing him now. I got used to Pierce...so now this guy just doesn't look like bond to me. I guess I know how people felt when they changed from Sean Connery to others.

I want to see it, but proberly wont get round to doing so...maybe in the weekend if im lucky. I think Daniel will make a good bond, Ive heard he does most of his stunts and heard a lot of good reviews of the film.

From the advertisements, the movie looks great. I suppose Craig is a good actor. But for whatever reason, he looks older than he really is. I know he's 38 years old, but still. I suppose it's his rugged appearance. It was a tad bit strange to see his body in that swimsuit-ocean scene in contrast to his face.

But anyways, one reason why I KNOW this film is worth seeing... the Aston Martin DBS :drools: . Unfortunately, something happens to the car (not saying what to avoid giving possible spoilers) that always hurts me when I see it happen in the previews.

Only been 20 my dear. I realize the context of the 50 but I just thought I'd enlighten you to how many there actually were.

Jason Statham should've played Bond, side-by-side, Statham would've been the improvement.

i saw it yesterday in a packed theatre

    and it was brilliant

better than most of the crap the bond films have been churning out over the past 10 or 15 years

Daniel Craig was excellent as bond. there arn't as many one-liners or gadgets as the others, but it makes up for it with the action. some of the scenes are just unbelieveable

    *bump*
I just saw the movie today. Pretty true to the book, except for the part about the girl. I won't spoil anything for anyone who hasn't seen the movie, or read the book though. It's not that big of a diff, so I thought it was an awesome movie.
The fight scenes were very brutal- in comparison to the previous Bonds'.
    My friend kept telling me it wasn't so bad when in the beggining bathroom part, but that was before I pointed out why Bond was stuffing the guy's face into the sink. ^^;
    Overall, I give it a 9/10.

    Damn straight!

Aston Martins are probably the only cars left that are still 100% British, the rest have been bought out by foreign millionaires, like with TVR, Jaguar, Rolls Royce, Bentley etc. Lets hope AM stays as it is ^^

You know, AM is part of Ford . I know it has British deigners and factories, but Ian Callum was comissioned to design the TWR devisions of Ford back in 1991. This is why the DB7 and the XK look so similar, and it most likely traces back to Ford's desire to sell more Jags in the US. Also, from the Wikipedia entry:

Car Magazine reported that the world?s two biggest luxury goods firms are locked in a battle to buy Aston Martin from cash-starved Ford. Swiss-based Richemont and French holding company Louis Vuitton Mo?t Hennessy have emerged as most likely to take on Aston, despite having no previous experience in the car industry.[4] Sunday Telegraph announced that Permira, Alchemy Partners and Texas Pacific Group are lining up bids of up to ?500m, along with Jac Nasser, now a partner at One Equity, the private equity arm of JP Morgan. BMW have excluded themselves, as have most of the recognised car companies in light of the cash-rich private equity money. The first round of the auction closes on 30 November 2006.[5]
I think Lotus and Morgan are the only independant companies still British-owned.

Meh, i'm not that much into the Bond movies. Whenever it's on tv and i have nothing to do it can be enjoying, but i'm getting tired of all those versions x3

My brother did see it though, and found it amazing, ah well.
