I've had my whole hair purple before, it fades even if it's a permanent dye and it's a pain to dye over.

Yeah, I agree, it was annoying! I always dyed my hair dark purple and after about 3 washes it always went light purple, even though on the box it said 'does not wash out'. What a load of baloney!
