Really? 'Cause I'd be more interested as to WHY the line of tanks are trying to get through the Beltway during rush hour

Oh, and another fast fact, the military actually owns all interstate highways and leases them to states during peace time. During times of war, the Highway Patrol, which is usually given jurisdiction over the state and federal highways, lose any jurisdiction over highways.

    *skish!*

That actually reminds me of an incident a few years back when some psycho managed to steal a tank from an NG armory or something...and went joyriding XD

You see it on 'worlds scariest police chases' every so often. Complete with overdramatized comments liek 'oMg waht fi hE haz teh bulletz for teh kannon!!!!1111'

What I'd like to know, is how this guy managed to STEAL a TANK...but I guess we'll never know, since the cops were so kind as to fill him with bullets immediately upon getting the hatch open...

    w00t necroposting <3 .

Expressway is a divided highway for high-speed traffic with at least partial control of access. Expressways are divided arterial roads with limits on the frequency of driveways and intersecting cross-streets. In other jurisdictions, access to expressways is limited only to grade-separated interchanges, making them the full equivalent of freeways.

Like my old post said: I'm addictive to Expressway/freeway/highway = )

What's incredible about road is how unusual the interchange or roundabout can be .

=) Happy posting about roads and highway people =)

The largest road I drive on is MD-24. Here is the wikipedia take on it.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maryland_Route_24 The speed limit is 55mph but most people do 60 to 70 mph. I am not ready to drive on interstates like I-95 yet.

    Thanks for the banner, Sombolia.

Expressway are called Controlled-access Highway, the higest grade type of highways in this world to support high-speed or high volume traffic around the world.

Expressway or Controlled-Access Highway have many terms, most common words for CAH is Freeway and Motorway. there are other similar term for CAH is Expressway, Interstate, and Parkway.

Controlled access highway provides a fast flow traffic without any traffic light (or signal), with intersections to exit or enter the freeway/highway. it also free from any on road crossing like a zebra crossing and usually the management will add overpasses or underpasses for the safety of the pedestrian. There's a lot of type of management on the CAH but some of the highway in the other country have Toll booth or Turnpike (in US). The toll road are usually measure by the distance between two booth. there's three type of toll road in this world and that is Closed toll collection system which using a transit card or ticket to determent the distance between the start exit to the exit that you are desire. While the open road system or flat fees toll booth are usually pay on a fixed rate on certain location.
