I got the Beltway! Although it's more than just 3 lanes.



You can get anywhere on it, and can spent between five minutes and five hours traveling a couple miles. ^__^

we have Motorways and Freeways here.

Motorways are within urban areas (80km/h), i take one to go to Uni sometimes.
and Freeways go between cities, and they have higher speeds (110km/h)
Both have none or limited traffic lights, so you can drive fast

Um... Every bridge/overpass/underpass on an interstate highway in the US has to be able to support the weight and the clearance of the currently used tank (I think it's the M1 Abrahms) and every one mile out of five has to be a certain width and be straight/level so that it could be used as a landing strip in times of war or crisis. Eisenhower came up with all that, and it helps make our military faster at mobilizing should we ever be invaded by seaweed monsters or Godzilla.

Serously though, something like the Autobahn wouldnt work in the US without some major changes to enforcement. Right now, cops pretty much ONLY chase speeders, in Germany they go after ya for tailgating, failure to keep left, and road rage.

Which, curiously enough, unlike speed alone, actually cause accidents...>.>

Very much correct. Though when it was built, the Soviets were actually a threat, and I'm not sure if MAD had been invented yet
