I have recently become obsessed with the musical after seeing it twice and googled it for ages, then I found this... I might be really late and you've all seen it! But I found these videos of some performances, they're the original cast singing a few of the musical songs on some US talk shows way back in 98' - sorry if I'm too late but if you haven't seen them they're a great memory refresher! Its certainly cool to be able to watch anything that resembles the experience of being at the theatre!

Thanks a lot for the links. Maybe the closest I'll ever get to see of TLKoB. That's if I never get chance to actually see it.

the ones i posted are streaming windows media videos

you just click on them, and view them in Window Media Player...
it doesnt let you save them for some reason

the ones on the site Simba's Girl posted, i think you need to Right Click and 'Save Target As', and save it to your computer first, then it should work

I did actually click on those links yet you gave but they still don't work for some reason.

They worked for me the other day, and I think maybe if you try again later they should be ok. Maybe everyone went there at once and it overloaded. If all else fails, luckily I saved them to my computer! So if need be in the future I can upload them somewhere on my server for you guys to d/l

The Sydney Morning Herald ones are working for me, streaming... although I think this was shot when there was no audience, maybe at a dress rehearsal. I think it is actually because there is no applause and they're talking abour preparing for opening night.

The clip of "He Lives In You" is my absolute favourite moment in the show! When it stops and suddenly all the colourful singers appear and sing so powerfully "HE LIVES IN YOU!" - awesome!

And any other Sydney people if you can help me out here, I think thats Vince, the original Simba in these videos, but he and Turanga look SO similar! I can't tell which one it is and I've met Vince in person! I think its him, considering the opening night being mentioned and he was the first to play Simba here in Australia. If you want some pics as well, I found some on www.gettyimages.com of the cast doing a special performance with a kids organisation or similar.

Cool, you think I'd know the difference being such a Turanga fan! But I guess when they're all done up in the costume its hard to differentiate... he once said people used to come up to him and ask for an autograph thinking he was Vince!

Thank you so much for those clips! I haven't seen them before, and it's great to get as much TLKoB stuff as i can...even though i'll be seeing it soon

When I just click it, it won't load, but it does work with "save as"
