Every time I watch TLK, I discover somthing new. No difference this time. Besides the obvious murder of Mufasa, there is a nother sucsessful murder at Scar's hand shown.
You have to be quick to catch this, but during "Be Prepared", just as the line "YOU WON"T GET A SNIFF WITHOUT ME!" is sung, Scar forces an annoyomous hyena into growing pool of lava. You can even hear the hyena's death screen if you listen close enough.

No, that hyena and Banzai don't look alike, well, as far as hyenas go.
I thought it was Shenzie Banzai and Ed there too, until I noticed that none has Shenzie's mane or Ed'e trademarc tounge.
Besides, Banzai is alive afterwards.

Yea, I noticed that a while back...I always tried to think of it as the feller fallin' down and gettin' burned up a little because I don't know if the hyenas would've gone along with Scar after 'murdering' a comrad...then again, Be Prepared IS a catchy song and they seemed to be too focused on partyin' and the prospect of "endless meat" in the future than what was goin' on around then.
Lol, I guess we didn't notice him cuz we don't even care about him. We know the hyena fell but we're so captivated with the music and the whole scene is so spectacular that we don't even care 'bout the poor thing.

LKS, if somebody is physically forceing you into your death by threatening your life, it is concidered murder. Scar wouldn't have tollerated a hyena going against him.

They didn't mean it as a death, it was more of a joke/humor. They would've notified you if it was death.
