We lost the cat last Friday, and he was found some houses down the road, and got brought to a cat pension. I picked him up today, so I guess it was a nice present :)

Awww, that's great to hear! I know how that feels. One of my cats had been missing for nearly 9 months after he ran away from my sister's new home. She moved to a neighbour village about 8 kilometres from our home and he ran away. But somehow he made his way back all the way. That was so incredible... so yeah, it truely is a great birthday present for you! :)

This one just wonders off in the late afternoon, but he's always back around 5pm waiting for one of us to come home from work.
Now, by the time he should have been back, someone already found him and took him in.
I was devistaded. He wasn't ours to begin with, but he was near death when we found him 3 months ago!
I putted up adds on missing pets sites, and then got a tip from the vet around the corner, that I needed to look at a specific site. Which I hadn't find myself through google. And he was on there!
They placed the add the next day he was missing.

We got him a flashy colar now, with an ID tube, so I just wrote my name & phone on there, and putted it on him.
Keeping him inside for a few days now, he really wants to go out, poor thing, but we've decided to keep him in for a little bit.

They should just ban my birthday. I can't stand the happy messages (sorry, bit depressed at the moment), because yesterday was boring as hell and I spend the entire day alone.

No surprises, no happy stuff, nothing.
