Considering they're spaced over more than two years, I'm not sure it's necessary. We did consider sub-forums within Everything The Light Touches for each film, as well as the Broadway show, but most of the topics in ETLT seem to be of a general nature, and ETLT isn't nearly as busy as Scar's Lair.
-
Since it's sort of on topic ;) There's a TLKoB forum Here. :)
And it's getting closer. I am so freakin' excited.
-
Now I'm understand Vidan :). Talk about the busiest topic in ETLT :idiot:

Thought I could share some of the pictures I made when I saw the German show last autumn. It was so awesome I can't find the words to describe it! Why... the German translation bothered me a bit but who cares!
Here's the merchandise shop. I took a picture because of the huge Scar mask (which wasn't for sale...

This is the complete German cast on stage.

Ooooh, those merchandise thinggy's :cheese:

Great pictures Rafiki, thanks for sharing! Looks like they had some stuff there not available in the U.S. - I don't recognize that red book to the right of Scar's Mask or the thing directly underneath it.
Was the translation really that different, can you remember any examples?
What I would give to own that mask...
-
The Dutch translation, in my opinion, is bad, haha.
Can you feel the love tonight:
Can you feel how the love grows, in this jungle night ...
What the? *lol*
-
I see a random Phantom movie soundtrack in there under that red book Tim was talking about.
In other news... 13 days! :D
-
That red book is called "The King of Customers". It's a general book about attending on guests of a musical production (for example in a theatre's restaurant). Don't really know why they're selling it there...
That thing under the mask is a collection of postcards of the theatre and the show.
About the translation: There's no specific verse or something that bothers me just that the creators of the musical changed part of the text of the already existing German songs from the movie. Especially in "He Lives in You" They should have kept the quite good translation of the German SP version of the song.
They also changed the dialog. The dialog in the musical is a direct translation of the English movie lines.
But, don't get me wrong, it was really breathtaking! I just don't have the slightest idea why they did that...

Slightly offtopic but I just noticed it. I love your avatar Rafiki.
Edit: 12 days! :D
-
Thank you! :cheese: It's brandnew! ;)

So with opening night rapidly approaching (not fast enough though ;) ), I was wondering if anyone in my area was going to see the show. :) I'm in San Antonio, TX just in case. :p
-
You lost me, I thought you were going to see it in New York? *blinks* haha
-
I wish I was going to New York. :( There's so much up there right now that I want to see (Lestat, Wicked, TLK, Phantom, Ave Q). The tour it coming through and that's what I'm seeing. :)
