The Adolescent Years

"Are-.... Are you sure? I can help, really I can." Star added as he started to walk off. 'Maybe he doesn't believe I can take down something that big.... I'll show him, I know I can...' she thought to herself. She looked over to Nela. "You would'nt mind, would you?"

"Of course not..." Nela smiled. "You can go if you want to. I understand. It's fine," she nuzzled Star lovingly, like she was her own cub.

Star wasn't expecting a nuzzle from Nela, but it definitley felt nice. She nuzzled her back happily. 'Wow... they're all so loving...'

Nala Purred at Simba Tickling her and smiled at Twilight. ''we know all about it not working out don't we? that time when we all argued and fell out... let's not go there'' she looked away. ''the main thing is it worked out for us 3, and as Twilight said, others aren't so lucky.''

"Yeah main thing is that it did work out" Twilight purred smiling back at Nala "We make a intresting threesome considering we always been friends...I could always see us being like this and I ain't lying he smiled.
"I got Kopa...wonder where hes been lately?" he questioned "Getting to that stage hes fending for himself now; typical teens" he smirked "Wish we could have more cubs like him".

''there's still time yet Twi'' she winked and purred softly. ''it's nice we have managed to stay friends all this time'' she smiled. ''i did think we would but there was times i had doubts, but we pulled together and were still going strong'' she grinned. ''Have you seen Kopa recently. I haven't see him for a while'' she sighed.

Kara smiled, "So, Seems like you guys love each other a lot, Betcha don't love each other as much as me and Scout do!" Kara smirked, She nuzzled Scouts cheek.

"Wow you guys are like perfect friends I wish I had friends like that" Scout said in longing.

"Last time I saw Kopa he was with some lioness his age" Twilight smirked "That was about two days ago" he smiled.
"If hes anything like his dad hes doing just fine" he laughed "He'll come back though don't worry" he purred smiling.
"And as for more cubs" he smiled widely "I'm not going to turn down a offer if it ever comes to that" he winked to Nala with a smile.

Nala smiled seductively at Twilight with a wink. ''I'm sure you won't'' she looked at Scout ''You do have good friends like that, you have us and Kara'' she smiled. ''i bet we love each other as much as you too do'' she smiled looking at Kara ''young love eh Twilight?'' she said with a smile.

"Yeah young love" he smirked "If only we could go back and do it all over again" he smiled and looked at Nala from the ground.
"We aren't really that old though; we are still young in a way" Twilight smiled and rolled over onto his front "We got a while left" he winked a eye at her.

Scout had never thought Nala Twilight and Simba as friends. He wanted to be friends but he wasn't too sure they wanted to be friends with him. Scout just assumed they were just being very nice. Scout was happy that he found 3 new friends that he could actually call his best friends.

Kara giggled, "Would you like us to leave you guys alone?" Kara smirked.
She looked up at the sky, the sun was shining brightly. almost enough to blind someone if they stared at it long enough.

"Not as much as me and Kara" Scout said jokingly. "It's amazing that I fell in love with Kara because most people my age think that girls are disgusting. ANd before I met Kara I guess you could say I felt the same way but she won me over. "Scout said rubbing noses with her.

''who do they remind you of'' Nala smirked. ''ofcourse were not old yet, well not as old as Rafiki'' she laughed jokingly ''you got to love that old baboon though'' she smiled ''and yes we got a while left yet'' she winked back.
she looked at Scout ''hey scout, it's great you found love at such a young age and aren't afraid to show it, we didn't believe it was love when we were cubs but we relise now that it was! and just because were older than you doesn't mean we don't have friends or class you as friends'' she smiled as she chuckled.

"Us" Twilight laughed softly thinking back "Except theres two of them and there was three of us" Twilight laughed answering Nala's question.
"And yeah good old Rafiki....crazy monkey" he laughed at the thought "Always active as always".
Twilight smiled widely about Nala saying about the time left.
"Can't wait" he chuckled to himself softly.

"I guess you can say in a sense me and Kara are a bit mature for our age" Scout said with a smile. "I knew that" He says to Nala. " Sometimes it's a little hard to determine if someone's being friendly or someone's your friend. It's a little different and kinda hard for me to see the differance between the two but, I'm glad you guys consider us friends. Cause we consider you friends. " Scout said with a smile.

"Sure, Just don't get hurt or get in my way" Kovujin said trying to sound Tough. He smirked, "come on slow poke,"

Star smiled at the fact that she could come along. "I won't, I promise... and I'm not a slow poke, sir..." she said as she zoomed past him. Her agility was built up over the years, and she could outrun any full grown lion. The only thing she couldn't outrun was a cheetah.

She was far ahead when she came to a sudden stop, watching the prey closely. She was a superb hunter for her age, and loved to hunt. She crouched down and waited to make her move.

''EXACTLY'' she smiled. ''true there may be one less of them but there just like all 3 of us'' ''Rafiki's daft as a bat but a wise old monkey'' she smiled. ''I'm sure you can't'' she winked.
''you are more mature that most cubs Scout, Both of you. I guess it is harder for you to tell with us with us being older, but were not that old'' she laughed.

Kovujin stayed back allowing Star to make all the moves and bring down the kill herself, he wanted to see if she was as good as she said she was.

Kara looked at Scout, "Love you Scout" kara said nuzzling his soft back fur. She loved the way Scout's fur was so soft.
