The Adolescent Years

Naeri continued to watch Sengalo, finally too bored and interested to resist, got up to her paws and moved closer to Sengalo. She moved to the opposite side of Shakou, gave him a wary look, then looks up at Sengalo with the innocent curiosity of a cub. "Are you really Scar's heir? Does that mean you're his son, too?" She tilted her head then smiled. "My pride told stories about Scar. My daddy said he knew him from somewhere." She dropped her voice and whispered to him, hiding her muzzle behind a paw. "Does vampire mean shaman?"

Kovujin smiled, he saw Scout come up and hide behind him, "Hey Scout, you will never guess who this lion is, Its my older brother , the one I told you about," Kovujin said with a huge smile on his face, "Big Bro, Meet my best friend Scout, Scout meet my big brother Mvivu," Kovujin said stepping out of the way to reveal Scout. Scout looked very afraid, or was he just being shy.

Kara walked up to Scout and saw the lion, he was tall, looked a lot like her Father Kovujin, "Hello there stranger, I'm Kara, I'm Kovujin's Daughter." Kara said with a smile, "And who may I ask are you?" Kara asked curiously.

"HIIIIIII MYYYYYYYYY NAME is Scout." He said stuttering he was real shy. It took him a little to warm up to someone.

Mvivu looked down at an orange cub with blue eyes, "Hello there, Nice to meet you" Mvivu said politely as to not scare the small cub, At first glance Mvivu might look scary, but he looked nothing like an Outsider, to tell you the truth, he looked a lot like he was from the Pride Lands. Mvivu looked on as another cub came to the orange cub, she was black, with a white underbelly, and muzzle. "Hello, I'm Mvivu, Kovujin's older brother, we havnt seen each other in a long time" Mvivu said smiling up at his brother.
"And .. Did you just say Kovujins Daughter?" Mvivu asked looking at Kovujin, "You have a family?" Mvivu asked.

Kovujin laughed, "Yes thats my Daughter, Kara, I have two other cubs that are behind Nela my Mate," Kovujin said looking at the brown lioness behind him, Two little cubs not even 2 months old emerged from behind her, "Thats Reno," Kovujin said pointing to the Male black cub, "And thats Mara" Kovujin said moving his paw to point at the Brown Lioness cub. "I have a family now" Kovujin said with a smile.

Kara smiled, She was starting to like this new lion with every passing second, She walked up to him and sat next to him, "He seems friendly enough" Kara said,
"Uh Yeah Kara, hes my older brother, he wouldnt harm a hair on anyones body.. Or at least I hope he wouldnt" Kovujin said smiling, "Wouldn't want to have to beat you up bro" Kovujin said looking at Mvivu, He could tell Mvivu was a lot stronger than him, he had grown a lot too, this was just amazing having meeting him.

Scout motions Mvivu to come closer so he could whisper something to him without upsetting Kara. "Well, Kovujin found her abandoned by her real parents and decided to help his wife take care of her when she was just a baby. We never found out who her real parents were" Scout whispered.

Mvivu leaned down so Scout could talk in his ear, "Oh.. I See, so he adopted her, I get ya now" Mvivu said with a smile, "He was always very nice back at home"
He looked back at Kovujin
"Ha! you wish you could beat me up bro, you couldn't take me on if your life depended on it" Mvivu said with a smirk on his face.

Mvivu watched as the lioness approached him and sat down next to him , "yeah, I'm really friendly" Mvivu said putting on a big grin, He pulled the Cub to him and gave her a gentle noggie.

Kovujin smiled as he watched Mvivu give Kara a noggie, "Well, You know I wouldn't want to embarass you in front of my family and make you look weak, so I wont try" Kovujin said with a smirk,

"HEy Get off me!" Kara said laughing as she pushed away from Mvivu, She jumped on his back and sat on top of him, "Hes a lot taller than you daddy" Kara said laughing,

"Yeah well he is older than me" Kovujin said smiling, "Glad to actually see your face Mvivu, I thought all my family forgot about me" Kovujin said with a sigh. "So how are Mom and Dad..?" Kovujin asked.

When Scout saw that this lion was no harm to him or Kara he sat down next to her. "Hey Kovujin you tell him about me and Kara"?Scout said.

Mvivu let the cub out of his grasp as she climbed onto his back, "Me taller than him, heh, Duh isnt that obvious" Mvivu said with a smirk, he looked back at Kovujin,
"Well.." He put the cub down off his back, and walked over to Kovujin and whispered in his ear, "Bro.. There both dead, they died in the Damu Wars.. I was with them when it happened, they told me to run away, and so I came to the Pride Lands hearing a lot of good things about it""Aww, hehe Boy friend and Girlfriend eh, cute" Mvivu said with a smile.

Kovujin stood still for a moment, hearing that his parents had died, he almost started crying, but he held the tears back so he wouldn't upset his family or let anyone else know about it,
"oh.." Kovujin said looking at the ground with a sigh, "Guess I'll never meet them.." Kovujin said looking back at Mvivu,

Kara saw that her father looked really Depressed . "Daddy, whats wrong?" Kara asked,
"Nothing, everythings fine" Kovujin said putting on a fake smile

Scout of course knew Kovujin was lying because he knew all about this fake smile. "It's your family isn't it Kovujin"? Scout said. "Something happened to them " Scout said he nuzzled Kovujin's paw.

"Yeah, I'll tell you later Scout, when were alone, don't want to tell anyone else here but you, seeing I can trust you" Kovujin said whispering in his ear, He looked back up and looked back at Nela and the cubs, the cubs were wrestling with each other and Nela was watching them,

Scout saw Reno and Mara wrestling and turned to Kovujin. "Imagine when your cubs our, our age they're gonna be just like me and Kara are now. I think our wrestling casted a bad image on them." Scout said with a chuckle. Scout wanted to hear what was going on but he would wait for the right moment.

(MOS, yeah, you may play Scar if you want. ;))

Seening the young lioness approch them, the black lion arched a brow at her. Listening to the two lion speak, Shakou turned and walked over to a nearby rock and laid down in the cold grass with his head down on his paws, keeping his eyes still on the chatting lions. Hearing Naeri's wisper about shaman's and vampires, "..Miss.." Shakou said raising his head looking at Naeri as his eyes soften, "...Vampires not like shamans nor are they shamans, they are often hated and feard. They live off blood of other creatures, and if you every survive to be bitten by one, you are destined to become one yourself..." Shakou said as he laid his head back down on his paws, uttering a sigh yawn....
