The Adolescent Years

"Come on Kopa lets see how good you are" Twilight whispered then smirked looking at Zazu "The Dodo ain't gonna know what hit him"

Simba just smirks and watches out for Kopa.

"haha okay let's go" he smiled as he started to walk behind Zazu, trying not to pounce on him.

Zazu simply perched on his rock, muttering to himself as he looked about at the lands, unaware of what was unfolding behind him.

"This is going to be one morning report Zazu is going to be very shocked about" he whispered smirking back to the cub

Kopa laughed a little smirking back to hte other afdult lions "Haha come on let's go, he saic continuing following Zazu.

Simba smirks to Kopa, "I can remember doing this when I was a little cub." he laughs quietly, trying not to be so loud.

"Yeah you really squashed him last time if I remember" Twilight smirked looking at Simba "Then you dragged him by his tail feathers it was hilarious" Twilight whispered back

" hahah its a tradition that continues every generation!" laughed Kopa,

"Go on Kopa, it'll test out your pouncing skills." Simba giggles quietly making sure Zazu can't hear.

"I think we all pounced on Zazu once in are lifes I know I have" Twilight grinned whispering to Simba

"Haha poor Zazu!" said Kopa laughing "I've always thought that I was the worst with him, but I'm seeing that I'm not"

Zazu stopped muttering, as he heard mumbling behind him. He began to turn, but something in the distance flashed and caught his eye, yet again diverting his attention as he looked onwards.

"Ehhh is something bad Zazu?" asked Kopa having seen Zazu acting weird

"No, nothing wrong young master." Zazu responded, thought still never turned around to face the others, and now started giving his morning report. "Well the buffalo are still being a pain in the herd as usual, the apes are simply going bananas over the new baby, crocodiles are being snappish as usaly, nearly got my tailfeathers *chuckle*, and the giraffes say rain will come later this week, since they remain above it all." Zazu finished proudly.

"Awww not again please...." said Kopa rolling on his back to entertain hiself.

Simba rolls his eyes a little when Zazu was giving the morning report, when Zazu finishes Simba nods a little, "Very good." he smiles to the hornbill.

"Thank you sire." Zazu said, this time turning around to face the others, finally getting a look as to who was all there, but as soon as he saw Twilight he would sour up yet again, turning and puffing angrily to himself.

"Hi Zazu its me again" He smiled winking to Zazu "You calmed down yet"

"Hahaha he fears you!!" said Kopa laughing .

Zazu turns and looks to the others at his comment, and he wrinkles his beak and turns away, spreading his wings. "Excuse me, I have some other buisiness to attend to." Flapping his wings, zazu would take off and soon be out of sight.

Twilight laughs a little "He hates me...show him one bit of intelligence coming from a lion and he gets in a huff bout it"

Zazu huffed and puffed up in the air, muttering angrily to himself about lions in general, though Twilight's name would creep up eventually and soon he would find the rock he usually deliver's the morning report to, or more so when Mufasa was king and flew down, alighting upon the rock with his back turned.

Simba sighs a little and shakes his head rolling his eyes, "So...what was we doing again?"

"Yeah wonder where hes off to anyway" Twilight inquired to the others

"hehe I guess he was scared of you!" Kopa laughed a little "I pounced on him earlier, when we were in the den."he grinned.

"Hes scared of me" Twilight smirked "Oh ok I didn't intend to but oh well" he laughed "And yeah I saw you pounce him thats why I came over to say hi"

" I love pouncing onto him, but maybe I'm doing it too much! poor Zazu" laughed Kopa, thinking about the bird.

"Well now use sulking about, I have a job to do and it must be done!" Zazu puffed honorably as he took flight from his perch, soon up in the air, flapping his wings softly and slowly. Casting a small shadow over the group of gathered lions, and they would notice he is basically flying about, scanning and being nosy.

Simba looks up to Zazu, "Zazu, what do you think you're doing?" he smirks at the hornbill.

Zazu looks down and simply stops, fluttering in the air. "I am scouting sire, is there something you required my assistance for?" Zazu quirked in a question like manner.

"No...I was just wandering, that's all." Simba gave a quick smile to Zazu, "You may want to take the cubs down to the water hole though?"

"Very well sire, as you wish." Zazu said in slight nevered voice, but it was hidden by his natural pompous accent. "Come cubs, to the water hole and the sooner we get, the sooner we can take our leave." Zazu spoke quickly, flapping slowly towards the water hole.

Kopa gave a llook to his Simba smirking and continued to follow the hornbill.

Zazu would fly onwards, flapping slowly then turning it into a glide. Reaching the water hole he would swoop down and alight upon the edge, bending his neck down to take in a drink of water.

Kopa ran towards Zazu, fast but silent and pounced onto him laughing, falling both inside the water hole " Hhahahaha what about your beautiful wings bird" he laughed.

"Simba...Are you sure Zazu will be safe with the cubs?". Nala said with a smirk as she came up alongside Simba....."It's been a while since we've been alone....it feels good to have you all to myself"....Nala gives Simba, the Look.

"I can trust Zazu...if Zazu gets into any difficulty, he'll come and inform me." Simba looks round to Nala, "...and yeah, it feels good to be alone..." he smiles a bit.

"Come, let's find our own 'water hole'...", Nala said softly as she motioned Simba to follow her.

"Alright..." Simba starts to follow Nala.
