I totally didn't mean to... But I was in a gift store buying three birthday cards and a birthday present. I paid for it all, turned around to walk out the door and even though I didn't even look at it, my brain must have a built-in TLK radar in my field of vision and just zeroed in on it. Needless to say, I turned straight back around and asked to buy it. :lol: Then there was a bit of a problem as I paid for it, but they couldn't find the box, so I told them I'd come back in a little bit if they would keep looking, and sure enough, about 40 mins later when I returned they'd found the box :) I know it's existed for a while, but I've never actually seen it in a store here, they always had a bunch of other ones but never the lion king one. I consider it a gift for myself bought from some of the birthday money my sister gave me. Plus I haven't really bought anything for myself in ages, so it was nice to.
I love that figurine! I had 2 at one point, haha, managed to re-sell the other one.
They were released in March, and the store I pre-ordered it with and payed since January didn't get my figurine untill 4 weeks ago!
I got scared somewhere in June I might never get it from them, so I bought it someplace else, lol.
And then 4 or 5 weeks ago, the other store tells me they finally got mine in store.
Was about time there was a TLK Traditions.
Well that would explain why I'd probably never seen one until now. I've seen those tradition things for ages and have always looked for a TLK one but never saw one, though always assumed there was one but the store just didn't have it. Now I know :)
And that's really bad about that store getting you to pay for it so long ago and only just getting it in, that's madness. I think I would have asked for a refund.
Yeah, this one is the very first TLK traditions :)
I had faith in the store, and they did get a first batch in March, but he went alphabaticly, and my last name starts with P, so I wasn't in that list yet.
It took untill late June for them to tell me it would arrive in August, I can understand supplyer problems and delays, but it was getting too much, and I didn't wanna risk not having one.
Just when I was about to go over there and ask my money back, they told me it was coming.
By then, I had already gotten an e-mail from another store telling me it was back in stock, so I just went ahead and bought it from the other store.
A fellow TLK collector I recently met, who kind of lives close to me *gasp* wanted it too when the store announced a 2nd batch coming in, and I told her she could have mine.
^ That's why I hate pre-ordering stuff, that happened to me back in the day when Jurassic Park was first released on video, I pre-ordered mine from this video store there used to be, Suncoast, and then the day it came out, the local supermarket had them out to buy and it was another nearly 2 weeks before the pre-order order finally came in. I was so frustrated and disappointed.
I'm stupidly excited for those two hot topic shirts, haha. I swear that store is feeding off this forum alone and going to send us all broke :lol:

Kenny told me to not get so many big items anymore, so I started to focus on pins.
But man, those aren't cheap.
Well, thanks to Audra being so awesome about it, I can have pins shipped to her for free inside the US, and then she forwards them to me, which is cheaper in the end.
I did get some big items still though, but mainly because they belong to a set, and part of me want those sets complete, lol.
I thought I'd bump this thread up since I got a few pieces of TLK merch for Christmas. I was surprised, but very pleased! I'm gonna be so sad when it starts getting warm and I can't wear the Scar sweater once or twice a week anymore. :lol:

The "how dvd audio was made" featurette is not in the final dvd? i donīt recall it...
I don't own a Special Edition DVD, but a friend of mine says that it was probably on a second disc (Two-Disc Platinum Edition).
I'm getting closer and closer to reaching 1.000 items.
I feel like this is an insane number, but I know people who went over that number, so I guess I'm still pretty sane, lol.
I tried to be more selective in the past months, because obviously I needed to save for my US trip, but yesterday I went loose and bought a baby hooded towel & washcloth, just because I could and needed to :lol:

Friday night we were at our local McDonalds and they have a glass display with a lot of old toys from back in the days when a Happy Meal was worth getting.
They already gave me a Scar toy I asked 3 times about, lol, so I feel I can't ask for this also, haha.

Also, they had a Zazu toy, it wasn't the wind-up toy from 1994. This was a 1 piece Zazu, and not small either, quite big for a Happy Meal toy.
I couldn't take a good picture of that one, as there were people sitting right next to the display, and I didn't wanna jump on their laps to take a picture, lol.
