The Adolescent Years

Rio had been watching the whole fiasco from some yards away. She couldn't help rolling her eyes. 'Geez, great reason to try to murder someone... and what a bunch of wusses! Three on one, and they have to have someone pin him down to fight him?!' She stood and shook dirt from her fur and then padded past the family, muttering something that sounded distinctly like "cowards". She began following the trail of blood left by Sengalo - she couldn't help feeling sorry for him, even if sympathy probably wasn't what he wanted. She'd feel sorry for anyone that had to deal with those fools.. and they called him a bully..

The smile left Robin as it turned into shock. This cub actually wanted to be around him?

"You really think that? I mean, I usualy pick up stray cubs from all over, but they just leave me. Your the first that actaully wants to be around."

Inside, Robin was rather happy, and didn't mind at all to have her around.

''uh huh'' Nala said scrabiing to her feet and fighting her way out of his mane, she turned round sat down and looked up at him ''we can travel all over together - it'll be fun, you'll have company and a friend'' she smiled ''your a nice-guy lion and i live on my own out here - it'd be nice to have someone look after me'' she said looking straight at Robin.

He glanced up at the stars as they twinkled down above both him and Nala.
After several minutes of looking up he softly nuzzled Nala once more as he lay his head back and also fell asleep.
