I dont really feel left out, I mean, im sure il be exited if I meet a celeb but im not "zomg, i so gotto lyke find a celeb!"
Im happy if I meet other interesting people :E
Let's see...
I am the great x8 grandson of Squanto, the first Native American ever seen by Europeans. I also used to live next door to Harrison Ford's (Indiana Jones) brother. He was never home, though. And no, I never got to meet Harrison himself.
My sister walked by Johnathen Taylor Thomas on a field trip to New York City.
Hmm...I haven't really met anyone famous besides a few baseball players and shooting around with a former college basketball star and a couple NFL players. I've talked with Paul Molitor, he's a cool guy, pretty smart. He used to play ball for the Milwaukee Brewers and he is a member of the 3000 hits Club. I've shot around with Miles Simon. Played ball with a dude named Ash who used to be a Wide Receiver for the San Diego Padres, and some other dude who is a Wide Receiver for the Arizona Cardinals.
But I'm related to Ulysses S. Grant, Robert E. Lee, Poncho Villa, and the Sheriff who was shot in the back in Tombstone which kinda led to Wyatt Earp and Doc Holiday to come to the area.....:D
My Mom's met a few famous people; Mel Gibson, Mariah Carey...and when she used to be a professional mucisian in Los Angeles, she played live for the Mayor of Los Angeles, I guess he was the first Black Mayor of LA. And she used to be a Secretary for Barbara Harris, who has done some sort of sound work on over 400 movies...:D
my best friend's uncle played in Rush Hour 2. But that's just about as close to a celebrity I am.
Huh?Quote:

And Squanto? Heh, cool.
Um, let's see. I've met Pauly Shore... and my 2nd or some cousin used to work with Green Day. He quit because he was "tired of babysitting them" :p
Well, I haven't met anyone, but my Aunt has >>seen<< Elvis Presley. She was working at a hotel one night, and then, across the room, there's Elvis, walkin' by...:o He was probably staying there for a concert nearby O_O
Iv met Jeff (cant remember the last name) that one dude from 98 Degrees one time at benihanas, he was a real awsome dude, really nice and i even got a picture with him and my sis. Im not a 98 Degrees fan or anything but i thought it was cool to meet a celebrity:cheese:
Also Adam Kennedy from the Angels and Brian Kennedy from the Twins, there parents live right in my neiborhood so there over here quite a bit and I usually say hi when i go by, even got a baseball signed by Adam which is totally awsome:cheese::cheese: :cheese:
Also my aunt that lives in chicago has met Michael Jordan, says hes a real nice guy. Also Scotty Pippin, but she says hes kind of a D!(K:lol:
"Doc" pwned Johnny Ringo so hard. XDQuote:

That's awesome, Katse. I'd love to meet some animators from the TLK movie someday.... *goes off into a daydream*
Yesterday I was casually roaming aimlessly around the ?Net, as one does, in search of Red Dwarf related stuff (you can only imagine what you?re missing if you?ve never heard of it) and this happened to catch my eye. :cheese: I did mention it to my almost equally RD-fanatically mum who was just as excited as I was and since we happen to live no more than an hour or two?s drive from Swindon, plus the date falls during my school?s Easter break, we have *considered* attending ? but with our luck I?m sure it?ll turn out we overlooked some microscopic little booking or such-related detail and my hopes will go down in flames just as the plans for an RD movie seem to have done? :( And take it from me: never, EVER give a child a name with at least ten spelling variations if you expect them to lead a full, happy life ? I?m sure having a national celebrity spell my name ?Catheryn? would an embarrassment of the highest disastrousness? but in any case, as far as I know it?ll be the closest the original cast have ever been to my hometown, and that alone gives me a wee little thing to be excited about.
Anywho, the point is that this once-in-a-lifetime chance has lead me to wonder: how many of this forum?s noble citizens have ever had the honour of a Close Encounter of the Celebrity Kind? Not just the Dwarfers, but absolutely anyone local, nation or international? Who with? When? Where? Did you walk away with a new number on your cellphone, or did you succumb to any embarrassing urges that lead to an incident you?d much rather forget? Oh, and should I eventually pluck up the courage I?d need to attend the signing: would anyone happen to have any advice on proper etiquette around celebs? How to make a decent first impression without coming across as either a nervous jibbering geek who can?t string a sentence together or someone who?d wrestle a Despair Squid tooth and nail simply to embarrass his or herself? Not like I?m expecting anything to happen, mind? :hehe:
So far in my fifteen years of being I haven?t had the great fortune/embarrassment of exchanging so much as a glance with a household name ? aside from very, very briefly catching sight of Des Lynon (sp?) signing copies of his autobiography in my local WHSmith?s. Having zero interest in old geezers droning on in the background of equally yawnsome sports, I wasn?t fazed in the least? although my parents *have* mentioned an occasion on which they both spotted Craig Charles in a London bar before I was born :D They *claim* to have played it as cool as possible, so I can rest assured that there was no truth in a recent dream I had in which Craig called up to claim paternity of me? :o which was spooky as I suppose I do look a *bit* like him. I wonder if the gene for dormouse cheeks can be passed on through sharing men?s toilets?
(Sidenote: this could quite possibly be the most concise, straight-to-the-point post I?ve ever done ? I really ought to get into the habit, y?know. =) I apologize if it seems a little bit rushed, but I do have to dash back to boarding school :cringe: in about ten minutes so bear with me!)
Katifa, could you explain what Red Dwarf is? I have never heard of it/them.
I have never even come close to meeting a celebrity. The best I can do is having gone to church with a local legendary radio announcer.
Scratch that. I met professional WWE wrestler, Booker T, once. Just your odinary autograph signing.
Um, Pauly Shore asked me for directions.. does that count?
eta: Oh, and tonight I might meet John Roecker. <3
red dwarf is a drama comedy (but mainly comedy) set abord a space vessel called 'The Red Dwarf', it's basically about a crew of 6 members and what they get up to.
tis an awesome show, but i dont think i could get to swindon, lucky :(
I did meet some celebs, who kind of talked to me.
They all asked for my name to put on the autograph cards
I've seen Dennis Rodman and I believe Tom Hanks in the Nashville Airport before.
I've never met anyone. I'd happy sell my grandma for a chance to meet Nathan Lane though.
the closest ive been to a celeb. is through the TV
I shook hands with Dani Filth <3
I've seen some celebs on Broadway show; like the guy who played Roger in the "The Producers" was also the same guy that was in the show that I saw. :D
I think that's it, I met Ms. Pennslyvania of 2005 at my jr. high school last year.
Anyone know Anthony Callea, Shannon Noll, Daniel Spillane or Axle Whitehead?
There're all Aussie stars and I've met them before. Took photos with them :D
The only celeb I've ever seen is Hilary Duff, when I was working at the cinema, she came in to see Harry Potter. Didnt even talk to her though. Just saw her... how exciting's that!?!?! :p I don't even like Hilary Duff, lol.
lol i know what u mean
i saw this celeb yesterday ( cant remember who it was :P)
i really dont like her and her songs, but i got all excited and took pictures of her.
Haha yeah, that's cool.
I had a dream where I met Hugh Grant, and he gave me $10,000...does that count? hehe :p
Oh and I forgot to say it before... but Red Dwarf rocks!! :D
EDIT: Oh and I forgot, I met Dr Harry Cooper, got him to sign my book of his too :cheese:
Threads have been merged. Sorry guys, my fault.
Not your fault Roquivo, but thanks for merging them :)
