Yeah, the old LaserDisc material should have been included.
Ansem:
I think that it's included on the laserdiscs. But it's a hell to buy it. eBay? An of course you have to get a Laserdisc-player.Quote:
Got it, watched it, and enjoyed it! Of course, I wish it included a little more extras. Some T.V trailers would have been nice, and the "Making of The Lion King" was a must! I remember mom recorded it when it first aired back in 94' on the Disney Channel, but it's been long gone. Does anyone know where you can get it at?
The Home Theater mix is great. But is it in DTS in all countries? Here in Sweden it is.
Ah man! I hate it when you have to by old technalogy just to get what you want. I'll think I'll pass on the LD, unless I find a cheap player or something. Thanks for the help!Quote:

I forgot to mention that I have the DVD too. :idiot:
It's a shame about the Making of The Lion King documentary because our next chance to see this won't be for another ten years (and that's only if Disney decides to include it in the next release). :grrr:
I don't have a DVD player, or else I'd have the special edition by now! Ah well, I'll skip the DVD player, and just get a PS2. Video games + DVDs in one machine? Heaven!
I have the Making of The Lion King on VHS, so I'm lucky, I've seen it before. But it would of been nice if it was including on the DVD! I'm surprised it wasn't!
you are right that is right because thet is not expensive and whit PS2 you can play games+watch DVD and play music.Quote:

Try ebay! That's where I got my copy a few years ago.
Okay, i was really bored last night so i thought, i know, i think i'll watch the lion king SE Dvd, but i dont like the morning report sequence so i'll just swap it over to 'Original Theatrical Trailer'. but whilst doing that i saw the 'Audio Commentary' option!!!
Now i've never ever watched an audio commentary before (can u watch audio) but i thought, you know, its TLK so its gotta be good ;)
Anyways, it was REALLY interesting, i didn't know they made SOOO many changes to the story, so many little things that i learnt that i havn't seen on any websites! For example, the vultures, in the scene where simbas unconscious in the desert (when timon and pumbaa first appear) were originally characters and said funny things to simba!!
Anyway, what i was gonna ask is: Has anyone else seen/heard the audio commmentary??
p.s. If you havn't, watch it!:D
Yep :)
I always look for commentary, after i watched the movie once without it of course :)
I've got about 80 dvd's, and all the ones that have audio commentary on them I have seen........except TLK! :idiot: DUH! I dont know how I ever missed that it even HAD one! Thanks for the input Naline!
:=):
I'm almost always too lazy to check those. ^_^
I tried to watch the audio commentary in Spirited Away but then I totally forgot it since I just had to go to the bathroom and when I came out of course I didn't remember what was I doing. ^_^
Yum, should watch that sometime.
:browlift:=D I watched the movie with the commentary maybe the first time I got the DVD since I had watched the movie like a million times already and it was so interesting to learn so many things that you don't notice but make it such a great movie. :D
btw who does this audio commentary?
i think i have to search for it on my dvd!
:ayecapn: The Directors: Rob Minkoff and Roger Allers and the Producer: Don Hahn:D:cheese:
ah, thx!
hey they sound like they have way to much fun making films... I wana make films for disney... *maybe i will soon* ;)
Hey so do I LionKingDomain! I always wanted to make movies for a living, it seems like they have so much fun and it always interested me! But I love animated films and I have such a passion for them, I want to be a Disney animator!
But yes I did watch TLK audio commentary, I watch the commentaries on all my DVDs, they are very interesting!
Sharifu go and make your dream i hope you make that someday :cheese:
:hugs:
Aww thank you SimbaTheMighty! I hope we all reach our goals and dreams! =D
I finally watched it all the way through with the commentary on. Very informative stuff. Thanks for the heads up Naline. :=):
Well i think my dream force me move out from Finland but that is not problem to me. Maby in somewhere USA, Canada or England (because there have to speak english that i can live there :/ )
No havent listen to it yet.
I only have seen the extra's, and I heard nothing there which I not knew yet.
Yeah, the extras didn't tell a die hard TLK fan anything new, but i thought the commentary was quite good!!
NP people, hope u enjoyed it!!!
Ahhh....Filmmaking. That's something I've been interested in for a while. If I ever were to get into that industry, I'd most likely be a screenwriter.
There's an audio commentary on the DVD? Can't believe I missed that heheheh.:hmm:
Might have to go watch that right now, thx for the input Naline!:licks:
NP, i found it really good, they talked a bit to much about colour and stuff like that, but none the less it was cooooool!
I like the joke they play. like at first, one of them said they were here to report top ten list.
Another one, while Mufasa telling simba about circle of life, they've planed a joke in which Mufasa spoke to one of antilopes "Isn't it right Joe?" "Right you Mufasa." "Catch you later, Joe." " Not fight can help it." This one is really funney.
LOL that was funny
HAHA!!! I remember that now!! Very funny, i quite liked the vultures aswell and their morbid black humour, it would've been cool if they had done those as characters.
Yeah it would have been kinda cool, but I've had my fill of animated vultures.....(Jungle Book, Robin Hood...). I'd like to see a vulture as a quiet, menacing presence. Kinda like Cherbnabog in the original Fantasia.
Red glowing eyes and all. :wicked:
But.. Thats one thing I respect about TLK is they don't have many talking chars.Quote:

TLK:2 had chars singing and things.. just makes for a different mood. I dont think that that would work good in TLK.
Yeah... In TLK2, it kinda surprised me when "One of Us" played~Quote:

Awesome!:knowdees: Thanks STL!:cheese:
im too lazy right now, ill look at it in a bit
I'm glad that reviewer seemed happy with the movie, even though he seems to think Beauty and the Beast was better
I hate how some reviews of TLK say it's nothing special and rather ordinary etc. They are so wrong :grrr: ;)
