:wow: Wow Tim! That's so awesome! I'm so glad you won the People's Choice Award for Oustanding Collection! =D

If I met you in real life I would shake your hand. The fact that you were able to reach out to someone like that is amazing, its probably the highpoint in my day. Thats a really sweet collection you have going, about how much did you invest into it?
Wow this thread has been dead for awhile.
I found a super cool TLK book at WalMart today. It's a reprint of the ones that have been around for ages but it has an interesting treatment. It's blue and has shiny blue foiling on the cover. Like I said, the text and pictures inside are the same as the Golden Books ones that have been around for ages but it has the text translated beneath in Spanish. It's cool. I'll scan a bit of it so y'all can see if you want. :)
Hey, thanks for the compliment. I actually haven't been keeping track, but I estimate that I've spent between $3,500-$4,000 USD on my collection so far, and I'm continually adding to it. Just got a beautiful Wall hanging that came in today (Mufasa and Simba together, jungle scene on a blue background, 3 feet x 4 feet) and a TLK mousepad.Quote:

And I'd like to see that TLK book Amanda, I always look for new TLK books when I got to WalMart or Toys R us but I don't recall seeing that one.
I'll get the book scanned so you can see it. :) That wall hanging is cool. :) I flipped out when I saw it in the fabric store. They had some other ones so I've got a few homemade outfits from it. Did you/are you getting the matching pillows? http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b3...s/100_2705.jpg The other side has Mufasa and Simba on it. :)
awesome stuff guys! :wow:
HK is that by any chance a work locker? :p lol, it just looks like one from SW x)
Haha yeah, that's my locker. :)
I didn't even know that there were matching pillows! If I see them anywhere I will definitely get them, but outside of Ebay I very rarely if ever see those kinds of things for sale.
The one thing I really want right now that I don't have is the TLKOB boxed pin set (Scar, Mufasa, Simba, Nala and the show logo) I had a chance to win it a couple of months ago and got sniped at the LAST second...
:grrr:
But that's okay, I'm usually the one doing the bid-sniping
That set only appears on Ebay once in a blue moon and I can't find it anywhere else, don't think they're being sold in theatres anymore. (It wasn't at the New Amsterdam when I went there in 2005)
I never saw those at the theater. I have seen them on ebay every once in a while. They look weird to me, which is why I haven't bothered to bid on them. :hmm:
I recently made a little inventory about my stuff.
Nathalie's TLK stuff
*note* that not everything is on there yet, since many things are still in boxes from when I moved out of my parents place
From that list Nathalie:
Just to let you know, that parade was only at Disneyland, not Disneyworld. :)Quote:
5. TLK celebration (from DLR or WDW)
Aren't those pins the same (or very similar) designs used for the charms on the TLKOB Charm Bracelet?Quote:

*SCREAM*
I am so envious. Don't get me wrong, I'm an Aussie patriot, but man I wish we had some Lion King merchandise. I have a Mufasa with baby Simba toy (who had an unfortunate haircut when I was little, now he has no tuft or tail fuzz, but he squeaks!) that's in the roof somewhere because I keep forgetting to ask for it down, a toy Simba someone gave me that they'd had forever, the original soundtrack and a purring Kiara that doesn't purr because I got annoyed with the purring so I took the sound box out (and now I've lost it) and who also recieved one of my dreadful de-fuzzing haircuts. Now her tail is smooth. :woeisme:
But I love them all, I'm glad for what little I have. =D
*Edit*: I have the Sweetheart Simba and Nala! Hooray, finally my dreamed of Nala toy. =D I think I broke the world record for "Fastest Box Opening" or "Fastest toy Unwiring". They're soooo...ooo...oooo cute!!
Watch, you'll turn out to be a hairdresser or something. I cut the whiskers off of my lovey!Simba if it makes you feel better?
Bought a awsome tlk book from amazon, ill show ya a few pages :D

Not bad..that second thing i only knew that exists. but never had a chance to see it. about book-that looks preety cool
i got a new book yesterday, its the original from 94, but i already have the 2004 version of it, its the same text and pics, just different book covers ...
*Bump*
I've received my TLKoB London t-shirt. ^^ I actually wanted to buy this when I went to see TLKoB in London at the Lea meeting but I never got chance to look around the gift shop. Mainly because my mum wanted us to catch the train back home. =/
Anyways, I've got my own bank account now so I can finally buy that TLK stuff I've been wanting for ages. I've just gotta keep a watch out for where my money goes. No doubt I would've already spent quite a bit on TLK related stuff. :p
Here's some pics:

I've also just ordered two Disney Magical Collection figurines, Simba/Zazu and Scar. ^^ I really liked the look of these when I first saw them. They're being imported from Japan so it will be a while before they arrive (it can take upto 30 days.) I haven't seen them here in the UK before, unless they sell them at any of the Disney or Toy stores, I dunno.

nice KS! that shirt looks really really cool!! and those figurines are awesome, especially the Simba one :D
Love the t-shirt KS. ;)
I got my second TLK item today--third if you count the poster! =D So I have the SE DVD, the coloring book and the poster that came with it, which I wuffles. :p The cover says $3.47 on the colorbook, but it was actually 99c! I got it at the 99c shop!! They also had a Pumbaa mini-flashlight and Pumbaa and Timon mini plushes packaged with little TLK themed tins!
The colorbook

Colored Scar....very much (he's saying "What are you looking at?" and his scar was gone [stupid Disney!] so I gave him a Harry Potter scar xD )

The big pullout poster!

I think I see a bit of the scar on left eye thought, so this time Disney actually didn't screw anything up ;)Quote:

Yeah, his scar's there. :) That poster is awesome though.
im going through all my TLK things right now. Im sorting puzzles up to see missing pieces and put them in right box, collecting toys and books and all together to put it in another big TLK box where ill keep all my things instead of have it on the wall and such. I'll do the same with my lion collection but i need lots of boxes for all my 1000 lion plushies just >_< Im also putting all kind of cards and newspaper articles/piccies in a photoalbum so i can watch it all there instead of not knowing where everything is in this mess i have created ...
i just gotta show what i manged to grab a few days ago, FOR FREE........
Dunno How Rare they are but, i have 4 Mcdonalds Boxes back from 1994 when tlk was realesed. and 4 boxes from 1998 when TLK2 was released XD.
My mate volunteers in a charity shop, and he came across them while clearing out the store room, and he gave me them for nothing XD all in perfect condition.

tlk2 box 4 - Side 2
so yeah, its really cool having these, brings back memories when i was a little kid, and got my happy meal box when tlk came out, big shame i lost the toys though back then ><
I remember those boxes, I made my parents go to McDonalds for a whole month :D (4 times, hehe).
Don't have any of the boxes left, besides the "Can you feel the love tonight" one.
I do have all the toys.
Don't have any of TLK 2.
I remember the little toys one got from McDonald's back then were quite pretty, the only Scar figurine I have is still the one I got from there xP I'm quite sure I have a few of the SP-toys left as well. I think I had two Kovus, two Kiaras, one Simba, Rafiki, Timon, Pumbaa and Zazu. All but Zira D:
But you only get junk stuff from McD's these days :( The TLK-toys from a couple of years ago were just... freaky oO
Oh yeah, I remember those boxes. I'm not sure whether or not I have any of the figures anywhere, though I guess if I do still have them they're somewhere where I can't find them (that always seems to be the case) which is a shame because (from what I remember) they did look pretty cool.
I love the Elephant Graveyard and IJCWTBK boxes though. The SP ones don't look bad either. xP
I have TLK toys from McD. and they're in a bad shape now (and then i would assume too). We put all McD. toys in the back box of our car we had when i was kid and used to play with them during long rides. I remember i had couple of TLK toys and went out to the car to take them home. I also found the plushie Kovu in my closet and *someone* has cut of his tuft on the head XD
Then i remembered we used to save every single Happy Meal box and that we had like 4 1 meter tall piles on the attic, but once i got up there to look for TLK ones they had been threw away (!) :gasp: I think we built that Pride Rock box ones .. never a good quality on the boxes cardboard stuff that was full of ketchup or other burger foody things
Wow, that's pretty cool This Land. I think it's kind of neat to find things like that, it brings back memories.
Although here in the U.S., Burger King was the one that had TLK toys in 1994. :Psst: (I remember that so well, my mom calling all the Burger Kings to find the toys we needed to complete our collection. (Mine and my sister's) Hehe.)
But then in 1998 when Simba's Pride came out, those toys were at McDonalds. I didn't want to collect those because I thought those Simba's Pride plushies were pretty ugly. :eww:
this weekend i had a TLK card game (tiny one :O ..) and a golden pin of Simba that is just sooooo beautiful! <3 :D I dunno if i said it before but my boss also got me this TLK3 thing you sit on during winter, so that youll be able to get down from a snowhill really fast x) .. i really dont know its english name, but i think you might get the idea :p
.. ill try get pics soon XD
Kiara: it's called a sled, even though a sled is, technically, a wooden pallet with runners. :)
ah .. it still sounds more silly in my language .. XD i still need a pic of it .. and the stuffs i got in NY and buffalo and london and amsterdam .. http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...h/PA220003.jpg
edit: i also got 5 TLK figures with the PEZ candy ..
Are those your TLKoB tickets there? They look different.
yea they are .. : http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1.../PA1600052.jpg (also NW concert ticket ..)
We printed them the day before we went to see the show from ticketmaster .. maybe thats why they look different .. (oh, here we print :D)
Oh ok. I thought that's what they looked like, but I didn't figure out that you'd cut them out. I'm not quite awake yet.
If you've got a Dollar Tree shop in your area, you might want to go check it out. They have Disney Villain figurines, one of which is Scar. :D If you don't have a dollar tree in your area, maybe I could pick one up for you. If you really want one of course. :)
Here's a picture.

OH MY GAWDD!!! :cheese: I may have to take you up on that offer! 'Cept there're a few issues--One, I don't know you so well...:( Two, I live in Alaska :eww: and Three, I'm not sure how I'd pay you.. But that is SO cool! I had a Scar figurine when I was little that looked similar...but a friend of mine borrowed it and never gave it back. *sniffles*
Eitherway, that's AWESOME! =D
...I HAVE THOSE TOO!!! Ebay loves me. :evilgrin:Quote:
