Wow, awesome work mushroom, I don't think you went overboard on the blood at all, it gives it a stronger feeling. You did a wonderful job on the expression and colouring and I agree with you on the background making the pic more intense, it looks great. :)

I was asked to draw an Oliphant for a friend yesterday, and in the process I discovered that an elephants head is easy to draw frmo a front-on view.

Anyone seen the Cartoon Network Clone Wars? I think they are rather well done, except the arse funny part where Anakin goes.

Thanks guys, and yes Mizani I meant to say Oliphant, as it is an Oliphant from Lord of the Rings ;) see it has four extra tusks. Two little ones on the sides and two underneath and the main tusks are larger. And I haven't yet attempted to draw an elephant form a side on view yet, not sure I'd be able, it's quite easy from the front though. :D

DA Description;
Darwin loves Eliza sooo much, lol, aww I loved the line in the film, was so sweet. Only problem was it was never followed through, loads of terrible things happened to Eliza and Darwin didn't even try to do anything about it, I know he would, bad writing there, he should have tried to save Eliza when Sloan grabbed her in the valley or something. I don't know it was just a shame that such a beautiful line was never followed through.
I feel this design for Eliza is soooo much better then my last one, still not quite there but still an improvement, looks more, Eliza. And Darwin looks more the character too, except, HE DOESN'T LOOK LIKE A CHIMP! ARRGH!!! Dang apes are so hard to draw.
I debated for a while whether to add the tears on Darwin, but since after that line he does turn away and wipe his eyes I decided to add them. The image has been resized though so you can't really see them anymore.
That looks really good Mushroom, I especially love the colours. Very well done, and I agree that Eliza looks more Eliza-ish than in the last pic you drew of her. Very nicely done. =D

Just had to draw a better design for Darwin since he look pretty bad in my last pic. He actually looks like a Chimpanzee now! If I can be bothered I might use this pic to make a colouring tutorial.
