All these people that say they love someone on Lea and one or both of the members have only been here for around a month, is kind of scary. I don't know... Don't you think that's kind of fast, especially if you haven't met this person offline?

and hmm.. I do think it is rather awkward that you can get together so /fast/ if you knwo what I mean hell, even relationships IRL dont just happen in about.. a day or two, its takes a while.
And I wouldn't do a relationship until i was friends with them for more than at least a few months, I don't trust people that instantly with my feelings and emotions if you know what I mean.. :S and I'd expect the same with any other person that can truly love someone ;)

The only thing I find wierd is the last time I had a crush/girl friend I was five. We were... um *coughs* ... really close. That ended when I was six or seven. I think. She and her family moved back to California I think it was. Her name was Kristinia (spelling?). Now, years later, I have two crushes here at LH and I don't post that much.
I had my first girl friend when I was six...MAn, she was crazy about me...giving me toy cars and everything...:D...But sadly, I had to attend a different day care after that school year....so i never saw her again...:D

Well im definately convinced that i want to meet someone first before i 'get toghether' with that person. You see how Ragoom and i split up, after 1,5 years of being 'together' and now it still didn't work out. Although i still want him to come over, we're friends now and i would love to meet him anyways :p But yeah, my priorities of a mate right now is just, 1. i want to know him for longer then a few months. 2. i want to have met him IRL. i have more but that's not really an issue :p
Yeah, I knew Eva for close to a year and a half before we became mates. Not to mention we were best friends before that, were both with someone who REALLY sucked and got through it, and we met each other twice in rl for a week each time. We finally decided to be mates after all that, and thus we knew how we really felt for each other.
As a side note, can we PLEASE stop with the alcohol stuff. I mean, this thread isn't about that whatsoever, yet the issue keeps coming up. I know it is just a joke, but I DONT drink, and I don't like hearing "LETS GET DRUNK" and such. It isn't really a great thing to promote..so I am asking nicely to lay off those jokes for now.

While I don't think it's necessary to meet a person before starting a relationship in some instances (especially if you've made sure the person is who they claim to be), I do think it's necessary to meet this person before things really start to pick up in the relationship. Love can happen over the internet, but it takes time. I also can't stand people who say they love eachother romantically after one day in a relationship, online or offline, really irks me.

Well... I think you can even go as far as to say love, but I don't think you can do so in a week. I mean, love can happen anywhere, including online, but what I mean is that there's people who say they love a person more than a friend after a week's worth of online relationship, and that makes me doubt that they actually love the person. I'm not saying they don't, it's not my place to judge someone else's love, but it does raise questions.
