another film idea i've had about a group of friends coming to terms with one of them suffering from Bipolar's Disorder

the credits list you see are the ideal cast and crew (in my eyes) to make this film, and the reviews just make the case look complete ;)

if anyone else wantes to see the other ones i have done for other film ideas i have had, just let me know and i'll post them

"I stand proud, adorned in a starburst more brillant than the brightest nova. I perform my symphony of shade and color; I set light ablaze.

But where is my audience? I've not more than a passing glance, not now. They're always in a hurry, always late, always dashing. Work, school, run go run. Their bustle is their blight; they rot in their rush. Haste has tailored my regalia to rags. But I'll be here, should their vagabond eyes come looking for a home."

Don't rush through life lest you forget to live it. Flowers don't have color unless someone's there to see it.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v417/pntbll248/th_Multipasscopy1small.jpg (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v417/pntbll248/Multipasscopy1small.jpg)

"Containing mutagenic and terraforming properties, tiberium is an extraterrestrial crystalline mineral that entered the Tiber River ecosytem by means of interstellar meteor during the mid 1990's. Due to its unique ability to absorb precious minerals from the ground into its crystal structure, the discovery of this strange compound immediately sparked an economic arms race to both understand and utilize tiberium. Needless to say, the possibilities of this new resource are virtually infinite.

In their haste to harvest, study, and purify tiberium, humans overlooked the tremendously destructive side of said resource. Economic struggle escalated to armed conflict -- The First and Second Tiberium Wars were amongst the bloodiest in mankind's history. All the while, tiberium continued to spread. Town to town, country to country, continent to continent. With its spread came vast ecological impact. On a individual scale, tiberium is capable of causing horrendous genetic defects and deviations, often resulting in grotesque mutation. Completely new organisms began to rise from such exposure, aptly name "Tiberium Lifeforms." On a much grander scale, tiberium began changing the planet with a possible intent of terraforming. By this year, 2045, the atmosphere is becoming more and more toxic daily, even changing the hue of upper-atmosphere cloud formations. It is estimated that, if the tiberium spread is not halted, the Earth will not be fit to support human life in a matter of years. With such unique properties, combined with the knowledge of its growth and spread, many argue that tiberium is in fact an extraterrestrial organism. This classification, Tiberium Riparius, is the most common form of tiberium, easily recognized by its green crystal structure."

My goodness, I've made a piece of fan-art. While I don't plan on this becoming a habit, I did enjoy celebrating one of the best, and sometimes cheesiest, real time strategy games around: Command and Conquer. Now, I don't agree with war or the glorifying of it by computer games, but I'm capable of seperating fiction from reality and in all honesty, this game is addictive. I'm gonna try to make one more piece, probably another (but wholy different) landscape. The crystals were modeled in maya and imported to Vue from there on out. It took about a day to render, but I think that's amazing on behalf of Vue given the fact that the raw image is much larger and there were tens of thousands of crystals for the rendering engine to deal with (Refraction, relflection, and indirect lighting take a long time).

If anyone's interested, Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars is gonna be released soon! :D

Oooh, very nice LC, very nice indeed, he's some kinda cool Irish guy :D I agree with kiara on the fact that the body looks a bit twisted, how you've defined his muscles and things, I think the centre line going down needs to curve outwards to the left a bit or something and maybe his waist is a little bit thin? Other than that he looks great. Love the face ^^

Existing in a small band of altitude and geography, cloud forests are ecological and atmospheric anamolies. Though trace amounts of rainfall do occur throughout the year, the vast majority of precipition in these forests come in the form of fog drip. In response to such conditions, plant species in these areas have developed shorter but heavier trunks with immense canopies to condense dew droplets. Orchids, ferns, and mosses are most prevalent in such forests.

"Be it sleep deprivation or sheer humor, I couldn't help but laugh at my collegue's suggestion of a small Cessna as a means of transportation. Walking through the middle of a jungle and he wants to land a plane -- says he knows a pilot in the area. Must be a damn good pilot.

Helicopter blades rip the sky, slashing and clawing in a meager attempt to overcome gravity. Useless in the end, but a grand statement of defiance nonetheless. As we tear through the mist, a glorious scene takes shape. A vapor viaduct guides us to our destination -- pillows of stratocumulus cushioning the mountainside. The jungle juts from the blanket in areas as towers to heaven in their own right. Slivers of sunlight from broken clouds glide upon these natural edifices. There is no defiance here for how can nature defy itself? No, not defiance in the least, for here earth and sky reconcile."

The fourth in a series of 3D landscapes, still lifes, and possibly forthcoming photography and animations that follow an inquisitive photographer through a rainforest. Though it is the fourth in the series, I've yet to post the second as the render disappoints me but I've lost the file. I'll see what I can do. By the by, he's not leaving the rainforest, just relocating.

Looks best on an LCD monitor that has good contrast. If anyone has a CRT monitor and thinks it's too flat or dark, however, I would be infinitely grateful to be notified so that I can try to make it better.

Take a plunge into the deep and prepare to see the ocean as never before. The most in-depth oceanic documentary to date, Blue Horizon brings the aquatic world to you in stunning high definition. This monumental mini-series event starts June 6th only on TEC."

If I made a nature mini-series documentary on a popular science-oriented channel, this is what it would be. I was going for a more color-based image than detail, so it's a tad minimalist. Please pardon the lack of originality in the description.

I'd watch the series. If it's premi?re; it'd go right on The Discovery Channel, not any of its subsidiaries...

So that being said, awesome pic, as if you didn't already know... ;)

Wow. o.o
I've just been browsing and there's so much growth going on in people's art. I'm impressed.

I didn't get an artpad like I had originally hoped....and..I don't have a scanner either. I have tried some art by mouse, but I don't exactly like that. So I've pretty much just kept to digital graphics, desiging people's layouts for some simulation games I play today on the Internet.

Very awesome, Marikunin. I'll tell ya, the pieces that one puts days of work in are special. They're not just doodles or even "Drawings," they're artwork :) Great job :D I'd also like to point out that your particular post in this thread was # 1337, which is... 1337.

@Roog, Sonique, and Azerane: Thanks guys! I appreciate the encouragement :D

"The diversity of this forest is astounding. As we trek down the mountains, we occasionally stumble upon isolated oases of tropical growth. In these tiny stretches of land, conifer breaks to palm and fern. Sunlight bursts through the canopy and shatters on the crystal leaves of the palmaes. Scintillant spears stab the ground in violent protest; sustaining life. Dismayed by the silent battle before me, I become seperated from my group. Not good."

I decided to try out some more stuff with realism. I felt that my previous attempts especially this (http://fanart.lionking.org/Artists/King_Simba/LeopardRealism.jpg) and this (http://fanart.lionking.org/Artists/King_Simba/CougarRealism.jpg) needed to be worked on. So I decided to try out doing a picture of a realistic tiger and I'm proud of the turn out. :D

The finished version compared to the reference picture...

@T-L ;; You drew the fur very well! It actually looks as if it's soft. ^^

Haven't done much of anything in a while. Thought it was gone from me.

:woeisme:

Then today, I'm making a photo for my virtual horse Ludwig. I cut out a Friesian horse, Otto van't Riethof II by Hoodsey. Now, on the posted horse on the virutal horse game, she is credited and as is the horse.

Otto by Hoodsey [Original Photo] (http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k306/Utora/Otto_van___t_Riethof_II_by_hoodsey.jpg)

I cut him out, and then I was idle. I didn't know what to do with him. I was very restless and impatient, but then I forced myself to construct something decent at least. I ended up with something completely unplanned. I've never done anything like this before, and for my first time, I'm shocked at meself.

:eww:

Ludwig by Engel Vom Toten (http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k306/Utora/8-1.png)

[stares at it] Well. I like it, and am quite pleased with, yes, meself.

:irule:

Might not be perfect, but I went off nothing, and I love the evilness about him. Oh, right,...and...Engel Vom Toten is my new title....thing.

:thinks:

Comments? Advice? Tips?...Babies?
