MALAYSIA'S HAUNTED PLACES

Georgetown - The Deadly Junction
- It is a T-Junction, located beside the Union High School, It Was said that if you ever drive across it late at night, your car will go out of control, & crash because there were many accidents happened there. some said that there is a tiny unknown treewhich looks like a lady carrying a child beside the road, they saw her figure & a child screaming, some old folks said she was once a "bomoh"(witch) & she kidnapped her sister's son, somehow they never appear after being seen beside this "DEADLY JUNCTION".

Kuala Kangsar - Malay College Kuala Kangsar
- Said to be a former site of a Japanese occupation camp during WW2. Students sometimes awakened by something that stares down directly at them. A marching platoon can be heard in the field. The sounds of chains. A tree on campus which is right beside a lamppost where the light shines down on it. The shadow produced is that of a man hanging from the tree.
- this may be urban legend. A few though were conveniently historically 'situated' as they were old colonial admin buildings that were used by the Japanese during the Occupation in the 1940s where 'executions' would take place. Some of these buildings were the Victoria Institution (school), the Bukit Bintang Girls School (used to be methodist grounds, now demolished)

Kuala Kubu Bharu - Mara Junior Science College Kuala Kubu Bharu
- In various parts of the building a white flying apparition has been seen.

Kuala Lumpur - Bukit(Hill) Tunku
- A spooky place to be. Bukit (Hill) Tunku is actually one of the more elite Residential areas in Kuala Lumpur. This place has many big and tall trees, and has this eerie feeling about it even at broad daylight and of course at night. It is said that a few years ago two youth embarked on a high speed motorcycle chase around the curvy roads of the area. One of the youth crashed at a dark stretch of the road, which is actually a very sharp corner. There have been claims about sightings of a young man riding a motorcycle at high speed, who mysteriously vanished in the dark.

Kuala Lumpur - Cheras - Poliklinik Cheras
- Used to be a government hospital but it is being abandoned with no reason, been to the place before seems haunted and bizarre, rumors heard that there are still some dead patient that is loitering around the area.

Kuala Lumpur - Genting Highlands Resort
- A famous hill-top resort and casino. Many people incurred gambling debts and committed suicide here. Some visitors leaving the hotel lobby reported seeing a man in red jump from the rooftop, just to disappear before he hits the ground. Certain rooms are not available for rent no matter how full the hotel was - those who have seen the inside reported that it was filled with old Chinese ghost wards. They would subsequently fall sick for days afterwards.

Kuala Lumpur - Highland Towers
- A tragic event that will forever live in the memory of Malaysians. One of the 3 blocks of apartment at this place fell apart due to landslide and heavy downpour prior to that fateful day. And Highland Towers have become famous for claims of being a very haunted place. Voices of the dead can be heard at night and ghostly figures are said to have appeared at the scene. There are also a story about a taxi driver who picked up a woman passenger at the middle of the night and being asked to drop her at the place. She left a bag and the poor taxi driver found it to be full of blood!

Kuala Lumpur - Pudu Prison
- Old prison that was abandoned after the area around it became commercialized. Reports of a strange thin Indian man walking the prison hallways and disappearing around the corner. Screams can be heard from the room where hangings take place. Certain areas such as specific cells and holding chambers were far colder than others.
- Update: They are turning this back into a prison (for low security prisoners) as no one will take it up for commercial property as it is too well known for the hauntings. There were plans to turn it into a hotel where you can stay a night at the cell of the most notorious criminals. Actually, the listing is wrong about hangings. The hangings do not take place at Pudu prison. Unless its self inflicted/murder. Official hangings are done outside Pudu. There were of course many in-prison acts of violence that led to deaths of inmates. Many drug addicts were known to be victims of violent criminals and so they were moved out into another prison elsewhere.

Kuala Lumpur - Victoria Institution
- A very famous landmark in Kuala Lumpur, V.I. a boys school was a Japanese base during the occupation of Malaysia. Many British soldiers and locals were brutally tortured to death in the basement and some of the older buildings on the campus. It is said that not only are apparitions common in the day as well as the night, there have been many cases of spirits possessing students. The possessed boys would behave strangely, even violently, harming other students and teachers only to snap out of it a few hours later and remember nothing, even when they were forcibly restrained, their bruises would disappear when they returned to normal.

Perak - Ipoh - Tambun
- Sighting of an old lady on the roadside while driving.

Perak - Ipoh - Tambun Inn
- Lights reported to turn on and off and sounds of whispering.

Perak - Kellies Castle
- sometimes door are opened themselves. lots of scary screaming voices........

Puchong - Puchong House
- Evil drawings on the walls. Some say the ghost of a woman who resided here before haunts it.Other than that, just stepping into the house is enough to keep you awake for months.

Selangor - Ampang - S.K (1) Kuala Ampang
- Could hear taps in the toilet running by itself and sightings of a lady in white walking behind the school compound\

Name Of The Ghost

Hantu(ghost) Kertau
Looks like a creature with a boar body and deer like head. Said to roam in the state of Perak.

Kemang and Hantu Sambaran
Originates in the placenta ( I don't know how ) and torments newborn babies.

Hantu Putung
A male ghost wrapped in white cloth like a mummy, who jumps about in the middle of the road late at night glowing.

Toyol
A very famous slave ghost. It's in a baby form and usually bought from bomohs. It will do your bidding BUT you must feed it blood, your own blood! Very efficient ghost. Be warned that if you feed it a little more, it wants more and more and more. You try to get rid of it, it will come back to claim your life especially if you are a women ( women are said to give birth to toyols after 3 - 4 months , their stomachs bigger than usual ). Chinese call this 'kwee kia'.

Gendruwo - Indonesian name
Nobody knows how or what does it look like because it has no certain shape. It is said that this ghost is very scary and only scares us people.

Wewegombel
It takes form of a women. Appearing often around sunset, it 'kidnaps' unsuspecting children and hides them on high tree branches.

Sundelbolong
This ghost goes after young men ( those of you handsome ones watch out! ). It takes form of a beautiful lady and if it manages to tackle you, she will show you her very smelly butt with an '0' hole shape instead of the normal one ( you know ).

Thethekan
This ghost is said to kidnap children who are playing outside their home at night. One can identify it through it's footsteps : "thek, thek, thek ".

I don't believe in ghosts. I mean what would be the point in someone's spirit to keep roaming the earth except to maybe scare a few people? I am obviously not a supersticious person unless I actually see things like that with my own eyes. I don't think there's anything around where I live that's suppose to be haunted.

It seems I'm a supernatural beacon sometimes...

-I had an extremely terrifying experience with a ghost or a demon when I was a little kid. I personally believe that all ghosts are demons, event he so called 'nice ghosts'. The devil is the author of confusion, I believe ghosts are one of his tools. But enough about my beliefs.

As for my experience... I was laying in bed one night, facing the wall asleep, then I randomly woke up and felt the need to turn to the other side, not because of discomfort, but as though I was supposed to look that way. And when I did, I saw the scariest thing I've ever seen in my entire life. There were a pair of glowing red eyes, hovering above my bed, and there was a blackish mist around it. It leaned in towards me, and I did what any kid would do.. I closed my eyes and prayed and cried and wished that someone would save me from whatever this was. I knew without a doubt that it was real, and evil. I came to find out that it not only had happened to me, but it had previously happened to my two older sisters as well, on different occasions too.

-My family has lots of paranormal expereinces too. Two of my uncles claim to have seen Bigfoot/Sasquatch while hunting, neither of them were together, and they were at different times.

-My mother says that when she was little a flying saucer hovered near her house.

-And finally, I have an ESP gift of some sort, a bit like Deja Vu, but not. Because I literally do dream of what will happen the next day, or the next month, or maybe even years from now. I've dreamt of so many situations that I could never have imaginaed. For instance when I was in home shooling, I dreamt of some people that I'd never seen before and I was walking through a big city witht hem, and having fun. Just recently, I met them at college, and we did exactly that. It's happened more than once.

Yes, I creep myself out too. *creeped out*

One year, just after my grandma died (in 2001) I was getting up one night and suddenly the bathroom light happened to turn on on it's own. Also, at different times on Sept 1st (my mums B-day and the day my grandma died) we sometimes feel the presence of grandma around. One year, we was driving past her house (or near her house) when we suddenly smelt the scent of her. It only lasted for a few seconds. Also, about 2/3 years ago, we caught the exact same scent of her in my bedroom. :gasp: We haven't smelt the scent for a while though.

My sister was also telling me that when we was on holiday in Corfu (years ago) she saw a ghost of a young boy hovering above my bed. I didn't see anything though so for all I know, she could be lying.

I've had somewhat of a similar experience before.

Honestly, I'd have to say the same about myself and my family.

Actually, now the more I think about it, it is quite similar to yours Nuka. I had started to doze off one night (I think this happened around when I was around 6-8?), I didn't exactly believe in 'ghosts' back then, but yeah. Anyways, due to some strange discomfort or so-called 'force', I just felt as if the hair at the back of my neck just stood up. So, I turned around, facing the opposite direction of my room and happened to come across this enourmous yet unusual figure, it happened to be all white, and looked as if it had large wings (somewhat angel-like), I suppose for some reason I felt extremely scared or just 'frozen-stiff' in sight of this creature because it was just something I could not define or understand, during that time. After some time of temporary shock, I turned around and hid beneath my blanket, in hope that it would just leave me alone. Eventually it did, but I never forgot that day because it was my first real supernatural experience I had.

Strangly, my family had lots of supernatural experience. Especially on my mother's side. (PM me if you're interested.)

One other strange thing, is that I have somewhat of ESP. It's not that I control it, but, it just happens randomly, sometimes during the day, but mostly at night. I've had tons of reoccuring experiences, some pertaining to online and offline. They're not as 'important', but I do get them, even if they are for random things such as having a 'foreseen' conversation with someone else.

I can't help, but say that on the more supernatural side, that we're quite similar. But then again, it wouldn't matter to me if I am or am not, or if we are or aren't, because I don't interfere with the supernatural, nor am I interested to know about it. It's probably there, but It's just best not to dwell on those kinds of stuff too long. I guess just some things aren't meant to be explained or tampered with (EVP, detectors, and the like), and that is why I won't get into it.

O_O Bloody hell..

As for ghosts, I think that they aren't actual human spirits, but instead a kind of creature that we can't quite detect yet with today's technology (kind of like how bacteria were practically invisible until the invention of the microscope, yet their effects were still felt before then).

Now I know I've got a couple ghost stories to tell, but I'm quite tired and am having trouble remembering them. So maybe after I get some sleep, I'll post them.

We haven't smelt the scent for a while though.

My sister was also telling me that when we was on holiday in Corfu (years ago) she saw a ghost of a young boy hovering above my bed. I didn't see anything though so for all I know, she could be lying.
I shall quote that. ^ ;)

I also have some scary things I've seen, one thing happened at my cousins house about three years ago or something and the clock was around 8pm I think. It was christmas time so, it was very dark outside then. When I was going to the bedroom in the end of the room-corridor (the corridor was like a room) I saw something peek out from the wall near the bedroom, (lucky me who hadn't come very far in the corridor, I immediately ran back to the kitchen) like a head and its left shoulder with a very small throath...or neck (?)... The 'thing'/human itself was white/grey and had some kind of glowing thing around everything.... Well...It was really scary Oo

The other thing happened at home all the time, I think our house was haunted or something, our doors sometimes locked and unlocked themselfes. And I've always been crazy about mystery things, I love it xD, so I thought something like "Hey, we have a ghost at home!" and one time told "my ghost" or whatever it was to stop with his things but then he crushed (spelled?) our lamps in the roof (just the lamp itself that is lighting...I think you get it) instead. Of course I thought that was funny as well... *stupied* Everything didn't go very well after a while and now we've moved out (my mum said we couldn't afford to buy too many lamps x) No, just kidding..xP).
Another time I remember now, just like with the head I think a foot once peeked out from the dooropening. And I was running in the corridor (this was in our house) so when the foot came out, I jumped, and my friend asked "What the heck are you doing?" And then I told her about the foot, but she said she hadn't seen anyone... It had an enormous boot...light blue I think... I refused to look in to that room in a week (it was my parents bedroom)

But anyway, now we've moved out over the street (so if I see something odd in the old house, I know what is going on x) I just hope the ghost didn't follow for what I did...:p Some people says you should talk with the ghost and ask what it want, and others say you shouldn't, cos the ghost can be irritated.... What's right??
My sister and I also use to do the Gene in the bottle thing and ask questions, but usually we got answers like KT8M... I don't know what that will mean really...x) But in that way, it's possible to let go ghosts free (speeelled???), I saw it on TV yesterday.

Now we only hear sounds in the walls here, my siblings and I call it the Wallghost, but I really hope it's not a ghost at all this time...

meh i've always thought there was this ghost thingy in my house but i actually never believed it. I believe in some "spirits" but not that they want to harm you.

Ah well, i love all stories about ghosts and stuff, on Discovery there was this amazing program on "is it true" for about a few weeks, it where all replays tho but it really rocked.

I'm not a huge believer in ghosts. I'm open to the possibilty that others have seen such things before though. I personally havent ever seen anything to give me the impression of a ghost, but I alwasy do enjoy reading and/or hearing about ghost stories. I don't really believe them, but they are quite interesting, I have to admit. :-)

I do believe in ghosts and the paranormal. Its not like we kno everything about this world now is it? There are bound to be hundreds of things yet to be discovered or yet to be understood.
However, I have never encountered a ghost or ghostly feelinsg or whatever. Unless you count watching Simba's Ascension to the throne and getting goosepimples. :P

actually, today, i went to my friend's mother (shes spiritual) because i wanted to ask her some questions about my 'godfather' who died this year. I half grew up with that family, and even tough i didnt have much contact with him, he still kinda grew up to me as a father. And when he died, i was devistated. And i wanted to know if he knew that ive never known he was th?t important to me. So, my mom's friend kinda told me that he knew, and that he does show around at me sometimes (but i dont notice, i did once got a push of him) and well i feel kinda releaved about it now, i now know that he loves me that much aswell and that it's alright i tought that way. =)

Nothing says lovin' like having a foreign language yelled at you in a metallic, neutered voice while you're washing out a pot t'cook something. :D

And to this day I have yet to identify the language, but if you want the voice.. think of Sarabi from TLK, take out the feminent part of her voice, raise the volume by 10 and add a metallic twinge to it, and think of it saying

"<first word intelligble> DE KODO KODO" (pronounced "koh-doh")

:D OR!

Or when it's 12:30 and you're lying in bed in the dark, and your mind starts racing and thinking of everything under the sun. For some odd reason you take a picture of the devil in your mind and place a stamp of a middle finger on it, and think "Screw You!"

..only to physically hear about a second and a half later, a whisper from right above you, say "..You too!"

...OR WHEN YOU TAKE A PICTURE OF SOMETHING LIKE THIS ON A HAUNTED BRIDGE.

Turn your head to the right! A giant hush puppy shoe turns into a BABY IN A BUNDLE WITH IT'S HEAD TILTED TO THE SIDE AND LOOKING AWAY. AGH I HATE THIS PIC AND I REGRET EVER TAKING IT.
