I'm slightly annoyed at the moment (but not much) because i just bought a DVD of Fight Club today, coz it was on special, and i just got home and found that the person that served me has left the security seal on there :gasp:

So i was all like :grrr:

Then i gently tried to see if i could get it off without breaking anything, and i couldn't, so i decided to wait until THURSDAY when i could get back to the shop again, but my dad wanted to have a go at removing it...

Soooo, he managed to get the visible part of the seal off...but now we've discovered that the seal goes right through the back of the whole case and it makes it impossible the remove the disc it seems. My dad is still trying to get the disc out now (hehe, i think he feels guilty )

The case is totally wrecked now, and most likely the disc won't come out without breaking either, so looks like i wasted my money, heh. Oh well, at least i've got disc 2

So yeah, i've learnt my lesson - always check to see if the security seal is removed! And if it's not, DO NOT try to remove it yourself coz it won't happen! :p

Born Free......:D :cheese: =D :browlift:

If you don't know the story....it's a true story about a lioness who is adobted by a game warden and his wife when he had to kill the cub's mother and father. At first they were going to send the lioness, who they named Elsa, along with her two sisters to a zoo, but decided to keep her at the last second. Elsa grew to love her human family, especially the game warden's wife, Joy. But soon they realized that they could keep Elsa no more, but instead of sending her to the zoo, they decided to do the impossible and train her to survive in the wild. At first Elsa's training went terrible and they were afraid that she would be killed in the process, but it all payed off in the end and Elsa was set free to join a pride of lions. Interested if Elsa was successful as a wild lion, the game warden and his wife returned to the exact spot where they had left Elsa a year ago....she came back to see them and brought along a family of cubs. They would visit Elsa many times and she always remembered her human family.

I don't really consider myself a Trekkie so much as I grew up with the movies and TV shows, so they're a nice bit of nostalgia. But I have yet to read or watch any Harry Potter, with the exception of a bit of the first one when I was randomly channel-surfing one day.

I don't really consider myself a Trekkie so much as I grew up with the movies and TV shows, so they're a nice bit of nostalgia. But I have yet to read or watch any Harry Potter, with the exception of a bit of the first one when I was randomly channel-surfing one day.
Makes sense ^-^
Nostalgia can be nice, every once in a while :)

That's amazing! :o
Where'd you get it from, if I may ask?

Sure :)
The DVD has been released in France, but as far as I know there's an English version from the UK, too. Nathalie might know a little bit more about it. I finally managed to get my copy from an Amazon Marketplace seller who lives in France :)

This one looks great, but at least I couldn't find it in an UK store.

In france they always have great covers. There is also a new DVD collection box, including all the movies and the pilot episode of The Lion Guard:

Why do they keep releasing boxes like that ... There's another yellow box for France/Spain/Italy, exactly like that! But it has Simba on the cover, and no Lion Guard episode.

@ XoX: This was a special release when Maleficent came out in France.
There's a bunch of those in the series, and were only available in France for 3 months. After that, they vanished from stores!

I managed to get mine from Auchan myself (huge French supermarket).

But, they have seem to be popping up again in French stores lately, and I even ordered one for someone of the French Amazon not that long ago, might still be on there.

This is NOT a different dvd version or anything. ONLY the slipcover is different.

There is *no* English version ;) Although the UK has had their own villains series, the covers were slightly different, and Lion King was not included.
They have a "good"-version cover though, which has adult Simba on it.

The last blu-ray I got, which was actually a gift, was this finish the Lion king 3, which was the only missing edition of my worldwide collection. I already was giving up getting it, then appeared someone needing a lot of Brazilian blu-rays, I helped him get the movies he wanted, even creating a credit card for him, and he managed to get the movies he wanted, then he asked me if I was in need of some thing from Finland... Even the movie being pop, he managed getting it for me by gift.

It's so good the world still have people like this :)

I bought The Jungle Book on Blu-ray today (the film version of course ;)) Got it from my workplace so I got 10% discount. Yay! :p

I probably won't watch it for a bit, since my mum wants to watch it too, but I look forward to seeing it. :)
