1. Do not join as any of the movie characters from The Lion King.

2. Do not join as and relative of the movie characters from The Lion King.

3. No porno or overly crude language! Just because some can handle R to X rated material doesn't mean we want it here.

4. There will be no discrimination of any persons of any kind, irregardless of age, race, sex, religion or sexuality.

5. OOC problems stay out of rolepay and off the forum.

6. No Godmodeling - let others control their own character. Also no reverse powerplaying - we are not invincible.

7. Roleplays should be kept within the spirit of The Lion King. Animals should be kept within the scope of native animals to Africa and magic, if present, should be kept to shamanism.

8. If there are any problems please pm the moderator - do not post it in the forum.

9. Last but not least, have fun! The more threads there are the more stories there are that can be lived!

Oh, okay...cool.

Do we have to do some sort of character profile...or do we just add a few paragraphs as the introduction of our character?

simbaji

Either way is fine. I can set up a topic for people who want to post a profile, but it's not required.

Oh, okay cool...I think the profile thing might be a good idea...but I think I may just add a couple paragraphs to introduce my character.

Another question....what's an "AW"?

simbaji
October 12th, 2004, 08:15 AM
(AW) = All Welcome

This isn't particularly necessary as usually it's a given, but if posted as part of the topic it's usually done as a stronger invite to get ppl to join.

Other descriptions you might see are:

(Planned) = which means that there is a definate storyline that is being roleplayed out for a specific purpose and generally means that while you may join, you might want to pm the topic starter to find out if there are things you can be involved with or that you should not try to take the roleplay in a different direction.

(Semi-Planned) = which means that while there is a storyline that is being roleplayed out for a specific purpose, the topic starter is allowing for some variation to be roleplayed into it.

("Char name") = sometimes a thread will be started and others are welcome but it is intended for the char name posted.

("Pride name") = sometimes a thread will be started and others are welcome but it is intended for the pride listed.

("Location name") = sometimes used to to depict a specific location that is important in another thread's storyline.

There are others and sometimes they're combined, but these are the most common.

I don?t understand, why is this forum different from "A New Era" ?

simbaji

I can't answer that for you. My forum has been up since December of 2004 while it looks as though "A New Era" has been up since February of 2005. Perhaps you should ask them?

Hey there, I'm thinking of joining this roleplay, however I have a couple things to find out. :p Alright, the character I was thinking of using /is/ native to Africa, just not the exact region where tlk may have taken place.
Farren is an ethiopian wolf, the rarest canine on earth and also Africa's only true wolf species. These creatures are isolated to a very limited region though, the afro-alpine and surrounding areas, etc.

However, in my story I have it that a fire chases her far from her homelands {ethiopia is right next to kenya, so although it may be a little stretch, it could happen I guess, and this is just a story ;3}
Is it alright to roleplay her here, saying she has in fact journeyed into these lands? Just curious. :-) If not I have many others I could use, including a cheetah, a lioness and etc...and there's were the other thing comes in. How many characters are you allowed here?
Thanks.

Sweet (smiles). No need to worry about location-relation to tlk as this forum does not include tlk time-lines or chars. I think it would be awesome no matter what you rp. It's always nice to see a new face. You can even start your own thread if you want, but you're more than welcome to join the one in progress : )

Thankies! =D I'm reading into it, or/and I may start a new thread too...I sometimes find it hard 'ta pop into a rp already far on it's way. ;) Thanks again

No problem, and there's no limit to how many chars you want, and who knows, I might pop into your new one - I love to explore (smiles)

I am kinda curious about the shamanism that you allow. Could you give a description?

Specifically, could a character have any type of power of an element, and if so, how much?

I'm really just curious.

About myself, if I'd actually join, I'd RP a 'normal' white cheetress.. (she is white due to the same genetic mutation that makes white tigers and white lions).. and she has tanzanyte or lavender-coloured eyes, but there is, otherwise, nothing special about her.

Because of her white fur, it is nearly impossible for her to blend in with her surroundings (like the grassy savannah), so she has trouble hunting, even moreso than most cheetahs have, and has pretty much had to live as a scavenger.. stealing what she can to survive. Obviously, this wouldn't be the most healthy life, so she's pretty skinny, even for a cheetah, and, because of not getting enough to eat, she also often has to stop and drink water (most big cats that can kill enough, do not need to drink water because they get enough hydration from the water in the blood and meat they eat).

Would she be allowed in this RP area?
I just want your permission before I go make a post or something, you know? ^.^;;

Sorry it took me a little bit to reply, I've been at work : ) But toanswer your question I have no problems with shamanism and don't see any problems up front with elemental powers so long as they are done in taste and not in excess. There are others who have some histories of the same. Basically I only ask that it be kept within reason and true to semi-true to what could reasonably be achieved. Just don't want magic portals and force field flame throwing stuff : ) And yes, you're more than welcome to rp here!

Thank you for your response. And, your reply didn't take too long, it was a mere 14 hours. ^.^

hmm... might aswell join this one too purrlease :D
My Cub's name is Kala and she's a snow lion cub.
She is white and doesn't no her family's past. all she know's about her family is that they got seperated and she has now adapted to warmer weather. her eyes are baby blue and she has a silver star between her eyes as well as a golden star round her right eye.

Would it be poss for her to have the element of thunder aswell? (unless Love can be counted as element then i'd have that - she has heart on her lower neck)
