We had to put her to sleep last night *cries*.

The day before yesterday she was still alive, jumping all around, and yesterday when I went looking for her, she didn't move at all.

Had called for her, but she didn't came.
Sometimes they wonder off to the garage, finding more "important" stuff to do, then to listen when we call.

And I didn't take much notice of it, since my other cat (I have a black cat of my own, the ginger one was from me and my bf together).
And went back to bed since I was so sick from my period :s

But then I kept thinking it was strange she didn't came, 'cause she usually comes when you call her.

So I went looking for her and find her not moving.
Was 17.50, called my bf, who got home 15 minutes later, and noticed she had moved, and then he noticed she was still alive, breathing a little, so we went straight to the vet.
Even asked the people who where before us, if we could go first, and they didn't mind.
They all saw, the cat inside the basket wasn't moving, and both of our faces, red eyes from crying :s

But it was too late.
Vet said there wasn't anything left to do really, and best to put her to sleep.
She was already cold and not really breathing anymore.
The reason could be anything according to her.

She was only 6 monhts.

I feel terrible and haven't stopped crying since, I could have just went looking for her when she didn't came the first time.

*pfff* :(

That is terrible, Nath. I know it is hard to lose a pet like that. I can't imagine how hard it must be to lose one that is so young. I hope you feel better, buddy. :hugs:

Aw, I'm so sorry. :hugs: :tears: Any idea how she died? 6 months is just a little on the young side for natural causes.

Thanks guys.

No, the vet said, it could have been anything.

Maybe she was already carrying something, which wasn't noticeable from the outside, and suddenly "hit" her.

Now see, this is why I don't have or want a pet, it's just too upsetting when things like this happen.

Sorry about your loss Nath :hugs:

I know.

And I'm aware of that.
I've lost pets before, but that was each time 'cause of being old in age, it was "natural".

But this wasn't.
Guess that's why it hurts a little more, don't know.

I'm so sorry. There's a great website called petloss.ca that can help. I suggest you look through it.

oooh I'm sorry Nathalie 'hugs' I hope you got lots of photos of her, and maybe you could make one really big and put it on your wall, so you can see her all the time, when you're feeling not so sad.
