Bonjour

I was deeply interested in wheither or not there might be a poet or two or three that might have a unique poem that they can share. I am afraid I have encoutered writters block and am staring helplessly at the page. It would be much appreciated.:browlift:

I realize this is the wrong section to ask for poetry so I shall give out all my compliments to everyone to make up for my folly.

I've written a few poems that I really like. Here's one from a few years ago that involved a very bad day:

The Horrible, Terrible Day

I know you've had some bad days
But for me, this was the worst
I felt that all my luck was gone
And that I was inevitably cursed

My morning was deceiving
I woke up and thought all was well
But after my dad shut off my server
It all tumbled down to hell

Then my mom told me to get ready
That seemed to cheer me some
I thought we were going out to lunch
And maybe see a movie then for fun

I cleaned my room and dusted
Then took a shower and got dressed
But my parents left without me
Though I shook it off at best

They were gone for quite some time
But mom said it was just the store
It was seven and they weren't home
Eventhough they'd left at four

I decided to watch a movie
Because my amigos weren't online
Then at 8 mom and dad walked in
Which sent shivers done my spine

They paraded around with many bags
From Target, grocery store, and mall
I was so mad they'd left me at home
But they didn't apologize at all

I had needed to get some things
Like drinks, body wash and snacks
"But you can get those tomorrow,"
Droned my mom just like a fax

I heaved a sigh and then found out
Pizza would be tonight's meal
Thus we didn't go get Greek
Eventhough my parents had made a deal

Returning to my room just then
I saw that Rob had come back
I talked to him for quite some time
Until my connection was jacked

This time it was my father
Who, without even telling me
Dared to reload his computer
To keep my own internet-free

Angered and oh, so angry
I just sat there on my own
Staring at my dad who
Had Hewlett Packard on the phone

I don't think it was broken, though
I think he messed with it on purpose
Because while he talked for hours
With them, he didn't even look nervous

I took some time out for drawing
To calm me when I was feeling rough
But this even was royally screwed
Because my markers had dried up

The picture didn't look good, either
When I tried to colour it, see
So I just cried with the mishap
And stared at it pitifully

It must have been past midnight
When with the computer my dad gave in
And set up his own work laptop
While unhooking his PC, then

He configured all the settings
So I couldn't open up my ports
Because heaven forbid I have a server
So he can play his games of course

At least I could still talk
And download files, too
But twenty minutes later
That connection fell through

The laptop had frozen
But when I dared tried to restart
It just laughed back at me
Like this ingenious work of art

Thank god my dad got beeped then
Because he woke up from his sleep
I waited until he fixed the laptop
Without even making a single peep

It took him several minutes
But then it was again connected
I rushed to get online once more
So my matters were not neglected

After many tears of woe
And saying heated, pissy things
I thought it'd all be over
But again, the laptop was deranged

It froze for the second time
So, mad and pissed beyond belief
I pressed on the laptop every key
And button to release my grief

It didn't work, unfortunately
That frozen startup screen laughed again
I told myself I hated laptops
And that PCs were my true friends

I banged it, I pulled out plugs
And felt around for more
But that startup screen remained paused
Like it had 20 minutes before

"I give up this time;
you win, you ugly, black notebook,"
I snapped to the vicious thing
And even gave it a fatal look

Slumping into a leather couch then
I cried all my hatred away
While reminiscing about the events
Of this horrible, terrible day

I have a few poems. It's not much but, here's one:

Dreams may come and dreams will go.
Where they go? I don't know,
Maybe by a bustling brook.
Or written in an ancient book.
Maybe falling from above.
Or flying around like a dove.
Running through the muck and mire.
Burning wild like a fire?
Hiding under redwood trees?
Blowing with the summer breeze.
In the minds of young and old?
I don't know, it's best untold.
But dreams will come and dreams may go.

Edit: Btw, I made that poem in 7th grade so that explains for it being so blah :eww:

Edit, again: Forgot to say, that that is a very nice poem Sarabi ^^

*swoons* :woeisme: My dear Nuka, that is very much a Robert Frost style poem! I love it, it is so wispy and calming. You are very talented!
:Ooo:

This is a poem I wrote that... well, has received plenty of comments. Mainly, because so many people can relate to it.

(By the way, Shakira Asaal is a fictional character that I created for X-Files MUCK.)

Shakira Asaal

It began as a run in
Behind the basurero
A man was hiding there
With sharp clothes of negro

He surprised me, and I flinched
Then he spoke in a tongue
Of a foreign land
I couldn't tell where it was from

As his hand covered my mouth
I was not appeasing
His weight shifted on me
Then I found it quite pleasing

We talked for awhile
Of things we did that were malo
Then he scooted away
But to him I did follow

He offered a smoke
And I took it, no less
So we puffed them away
While our thoughts would suppress

He showed me his gun
With a suggestive grin
And my breaths came harder
While our distance grew thin

We both knew it was coming
Either a hit or a miss
So I pulled him to me
For an inevitable kiss

Now it's been a year
Yet we are still not together
But mejores amigos
Like two birds of a feather

He laughs at my jokes
He cheers me when needed
He gives me abrazos
When I've been defeated

But I feel so selfish
My heart aches for more
I want him to love me
Because it's him I adore

My thoughts are silent
But I won't tell him that
I don't want to lose
Our companionship pact

I am his amiga
For always and longer
But I know that waiting
Makes my heart grow fonder

He's not like the hombres
I've met before
If he lies or he cheats
I'll come running for more

Ay ay, dios mio!
I am in need of advice
Are we just only friends
If we've made love more than twice?

He makes my head spin
I don't know what to do
Should I confess my love
Then lose a friend, too?

Maybe I'll just wait
For him to say it first
Because I'd be too scared
And I'd fear the worst

Maybe I'll ask him
If he'd like to dance
Or just anything if it
Seemed like a chance

This is a game that
He will definitely win
I'm not going to betray him
I will stay his best friend

Oh why am I a victim
In this endless charade?
Why do I fear nothing
But with this, I'm afraid?

This plagues me inside
But all the while
Like a gift from the skies
I can't forget his smile...

When days of old
And knights were bold
And toliets weren't invented

You left your load
Apon the road
And walked away contented

Sorry if it sounds crude and lame, I just made it from the top of my head, LOL!! Those are excellant poems Sarabi and Nuku! :)

Life Goes On......

I found out one day when I was 3 1/2 years old.
My Dad died suddenly and unexpectedly.
No more playing ball or seeing his face.
No more hugs or saying "I Love You".
Mother makes me carry on.
With death two months later, comes new life, my brother.
You can see him grow, Dad, through my eyes.
With school and soccer with trophies.
With tennis and Cub Scouts with many awards.
Joined Boy Scouts to make me strong.
Building models and playing monopoly.
Now mother is married with brother and me.
We stand at the alter this new family.
I have a new Dad that cares and loves me.
I have a new brother and sister.
My Dad and me are planning a camping trip.
My dusty ball and bat with new glove.
I will be on a ball team I've always dreamed.
My 3 1/2 years with you, Dad, will not be forgotten.
With all my experiences, I'll be a good Dad, when it's my turn.
Thank you God for my new family.
Life goes on.....

Father

Many can say they have
The greatest father in
The whole world,
Others can say they have the
Worst father
But, there are others?
Like me,
Who can only have a
Limited amount
Of memories,
My only memories are pictures,
Pictures of him
I?ve heard so many
Great things of my father,
I wish I could have met him
Who knows, maybe, I will
Be with him once again.

Yay!! I kept a copy of my poem! ^_^
:D So, here it goes once more =D

:diva: No Matter What Happens :diva:

I remember a time when each day was long
My world was a playground, and my life was a song
I fluttered through life with barely a care
Ignoring the future and what waited there.

School was intriguing and filled with delights.
I played away daytimes, and dreamt away nights.
My parents assured me I had nothing to fear.
And no matter what happened, they'd always be here.

Little I knew about the world outside home,
Where tragedies, sorrow and murder could roam.
All I saw were blue skies, rainbows and stars.
I looked past destruction of buildings and cars.

As a child, my biggest concern was me.
I had to be happy, I had to be free.
And if I was content, I would not shed a tead,
And no matter what happened, I still would be here.

But as I grow up, darkness starts to set in;
My bright world has turned into concrete and tin.
I now see the violence I looked past before;
People get killed, and my heart hits the floor.

Thieves and killers claim people who love,
There are landfills below me, pollution above.
I often think back to when life was a game.
But no matter what happens it can't be the same.

Sometimes I just want to break down and howl,
To give up completely, to throw in the towel.
But I hold my head high and push my way through.
I have too much to give and so much to do.

And I make a vow that, though it'll be hard,
I'll go on with a smile and play every card.
I'll give all I can, help others and love.
No matter what happens, life will bloom again.
And the strength I don't have will come from above.

So come, take my hand, and through the darkness we will
Sail.
If we all join together, we can never fail.
We'll remember to care, remember to feel.
And no matter what happens, our world will be healed.

This is just something i started writing today for no reason and i didn't finish it

Meaning of Life

Has life a meaning?
What purpose be we here?
To live life to the fullest
we must enjoy even the
small things for not for
them our purpose in life
has no meaning

Even things as small as
a ant has a meaning
even though it may be
a nuiscance, its meaning
is just as big as ours

When looking at our lives
we tend to think we have
lived a life of hell yet our
hell might be a heaven
compared to anothers hell
but in this thought can
there be one who has a
hell greater than all others
or is it equal to several?

With the fact that hell is
a part of our lives whether
wanted or not there must
be a heaven for no man
is without one yet they may
say they have none it is
there whether they accept
it or not

Every species has a
meaning; a purpose on this
miserable planet

When we look at life in
general we should look
at our heaven to see
our purpose...

i guess i can edit it and finish it later, maybe a week later because thats when i can do my best editing on one of my works, and don't ask me why i wrote some of that stuff the way i did because i really have no idea

This is just me venting I guess

This is how I feel mostly these days

Back then, you enjoyed the summers..no responsibility
no worries

Now thats all gone, if you dont take responsibility today you will only undo yourself

You feel...there is no use to live like this, then you remember...there is people out there having a much more rougher time then you..

You wanna tell your friends but then you get afraid and think that you will scare them away...

You think about fallen friends and what they thought...why they did it and if there was anything you could do to stop it

And sometimes you wanna join them, give up, surrender and be free from everything

Only one thing makes you stay, you love your near ones to much to hurt them the way you have been hurt or you are just scared that they will get back on you some way...

You miss the old days then you dont because you had so much fun these days..but the responsibility is still there bothering your spineless soul

"No title

Running away from your fears
Growing up to be who you swore
You would never be
The small things that you thought
Were ok were the ones that made
You see the world in a new light
Made you realize that you were
Not as good as you thought
The changes of life are a necessity
In order to survive in our ever
Changing world, change is not
Always good but also not
Always bad, we make a
Comfort zone with our selfish
Desires and dream of things that
We can never have; but in order to
Have those things we have to leave
Our comfort zones because it will
Only make us wish for more and
Expect everything to be handed to us
When life is not that simple for if life
Was that simple, then what would be
The point of living?

~Derek C. Twigg
November 14th, 2005"

and then this one

"Untitled

There is only one true path that will lead
To everything that we could ever want
But so few want to walk it because they
Could care less for the world is selfish
And wants everything as quick as it can
Get its hands on it, they take the paths that
Lead as far away from what they really need
That it comes to a point where they lose all
Hope but they never realize that at any time
They can return to the one true path that will
Lead to all of their desires and make their
True Father smile.

umm, they are old because I just copied them from my site, so if they suck, deal with it. :D haha... I have more maybe I'll post sometime, but these are the ones on my site, like a said... enjoy.

Just like getting Drunk
I long to taste you, you drew me in,
you smell so wonderful I can feel within.
After one try temptation gives in
I drink you up, I take you in.
happy moments are now here
you make me forget all I?m thinking
you?re more amazing than anything.
I take you in, I drink you up.
Something perfect is near me.
And It?s you.
You remind of something before.
Something I?ve done many times.
You?re just like getting drunk.
Your wonderful, Than morning comes
Then I ****ing hate you
cause the headache?s pounding,
no amount pills seem to make you go away
cause just like getting drunk
you leave me here throwing you up
I cant believe I tasted
cant believe I drank you in
I ****ing hate your beauty
I ****ing hate your sin
Cause your just like getting drunk.
I ****ing hate you so damn much..
I swear I?ll never do you again.
But I of corse, you know
You can always draw me in
Cause your just like getting drunk.

Death
There would be no point to life, if there wasn?t death.
Hardly any if it was never unexpected.
If we never felt that much sadness,
we?d bawl about the little things.
Once death takes someone we know
we forget how we had our heart broken
how we failed a stupid meaningless test,
All that matters is that they are gone.
Once we step in reality and realize
the world doesn?t revolve around us,
we?ll be that much happier.

Alone Agian
Here I was, the insecure me, draped in the cozy as a sweater arms of his. I felt safe there; safe and happy. His words were like a soft breeze to me, and I longed to kiss the lips that uttered such sweet words, and my body tingled for the touch of those cozy arms. I saw it in his eyes, he wanted it too. I felt the wonder of what the kiss would be like. Then, all at once, the magic happened. The kiss was so passionate, I felt my heart melt. Lust came over me stronger than it ever had for anyone. However, as quick as it began, it was over, and I will never kiss those lips again. He went back to his ex girlfriend, and I went back to being alone; alone and insecure.

The Next Victim
A stranger to my faults he is,
Not knowing my past ways.
Unfamiliar to the shouting and hitting,
Unaware of all the tears.
I wonder if it wasn't my fault,
If it was just because of him,
But I know deep inside,
That I ruined our sweet love.
But this boy is different,
Not like the first,
We flirt with sweet words,
and I feel his gentle touch.
I long to kiss his red lips,
but I'm afraid to try.
I need to protect him
From all that I can become
Need to stop all the pain.
He can't be my new victim,
Can't be afraid of me.

Misery On That Day
It had to be a happy day, the day I came home and found out they put my dog to sleep. It was a sunny day, a warm morning, and I hadn't said goodbye to him because his ears were hurting too bad. Good thing after good thing happened that day, until I came home and found out he was gone forever. Now I can't remember what made it so happy.

Last Year's Bottle
The power was off, we sat in the dark,
Our two blue candles glowing.
We talked about whatever we could,
Which lead to an argument.
My mother and my father
fought about something silly,
But it was just a friendly fight.
Someone won, someone lost, who cares?
But back then, everything mattered.
Smashed dishes laid on the kitchen floor.
He'd rummage for his car keys,
which she'd hide before they drank.
The alcohol poisoned their minds,
making them fight about everything,
But still they drank more and more.
Blaming it on each other, not the beer.
We kids would listen in horror,
Our music trying to cover the sound,
But the only noise we heard
was what a bastard he was.
He'd sleep down on the coach,
She'd sleep up with my sister.
They'd wake up in the morning, hung over
and in the evening they'd start drinking.
But this night was different, quiet, peaceful.
No smashed dishes, no horrid yelling.
She won the argument, so what?
It's not a big deal anymore.

Death by Stupidity
I was always afraid of drowning,
But I longed to swim as the water splashed them,
As I watched them splash in the water,
As I watched the water move in form above,
As I saw the fish swim with little movement.
I felt the cold rocks under my feet,
And the hot sun on my back.
I watched them swim away,
until they looked like tiny ants.
I squinted to see, but it didn't work.
I began to move closer,
To a rock just out of reach.
I felt the splash, the water over my head.
I saw my life flash before my eyes,
heard laughter from afar.
Their bodies came towards me,
but I felt no arms,
except mine moving in furry.
Then their helpful words came,
"Stand up, just stand up."

Alone in the Rain
The rain pours down,
on the once sunny day.
My hair is drenched,
but I still wait.
Cars zoom by
at high speeds.
I look in,
and don't find him.
The clouds cover the sun,
and my coat covers me.
I sit alone,
and wait, and wait.
I hug myself closer,
the wind gets colder,
the birds stop singing,
and I start crying.
The rain pours down,
on the once sunny day.
My hair is drenched,
but I still wait.

Sean Robert Dearing
I searched far and wide
and cried through the day
I wanted a love
that would go my way
It started with a kiss,
which was so perfectly right
And soon my best friend
was holding me tight
I love him so much
and he loves me too
He is the one I want
He'll never make me blue
He is everything to me
and you know it's true
For the one I love so much
Sean Robert Dearing,
is you.

Keep Going
If your ever feel really sad
and you want your life to end
Please, I know, I would care
'cause I love you as a friend.
I know life can really suck,
I've been there myself too
But you have to keep going
for all those who love you.

The Perfect Man
The handsomest man in my eyes,
and he's all mine.
The man who talks, but never lies,
and he's all mine.
The best kiss for my lips,
and he's all mine.
The man with such great tips,
and he's all mine.
The man with a wonderful smile,
and he's all mine.
This man who always waits awhile,
and he's all mine.
The man who will say he loves me,
and he's all mine.
He's as perfect as a man can be,
and he's all mine.
The man who makes me part of a team,
and he's all mine.
This man only found in my dreams,
can never be mine.

Last Wish
I remember when for you I longed
But you have said for you're too strong
But could it be not strong enough
Look at me, I'm not so tough
So here I sit and wonder why
So here I sit, for you I cry
Will you still be my friend?
Even if not, my love I send
Before I go... one last wish
But this time not for a kiss
All I want is for you to be
My good friend for eternity.

Questions of the Heart
Why when my heart gets lifted up
does it get pushed back down?
Why when I finally have a smile
does it turn into a frown?
Why do they all take my heart?
And when it breaks,
turn their head back around,
and pretend our love was fake?
Why do they all complain
about being just a friend?
When that's all they want from me,
a good friend 'til the end
Why do they all give me hope,
and then tell me it's no more?
Tell me I was leaded on
and my feelings I should store
Why is it that they move on,
are happy and they smile?
They will have a good time
and I'll be sad for awhile.

Hidden Emotions
In the shower
drops like rain
I sit to think
about all my pain
And everytime
I start to cry
it's always to
my friends I lie
Telling them
nothing's the matter
When deep inside
my emotions splatter
I can't tell
it wouldn't be right
I'll just end up
starting a fight
So I keep it locked up
and keep you away
Please be my friend
this will be over one day.

Awesome poems...I love reading poetry. Here are a few of my peoms that I have on DA...:cheese:

"Learned"
When I first saw you
I learned what it was like to see
When I first heard you
I learned sweet melody
When I first loved you
I learned that I had a heart
But when I lost you
I learned what it was like to be torn apart

"That's Life"
Don't waste your time on me God,
I'ma lost cause, just remember to visit me before I'm gone,
The pain's getting to me,
Causin' me to see that violent is the only way to be,
When there's no other way to live,
Don't worry bout me cuz all I know is sin,
Ever since my last boy lost his face,
When another decided to take him from this place,
Life just takes and you never get anything,
So everything you gain you must earn in pain,
Too many times people let it get to them,
Fall beside the road-all you can do is let them,
But I ain't going out like that you see,
Because I want my last memory,
To be of looking back at it all,
Realizing that I got through and didn't fall,
Death murder drugs couldn't touch me,
Why should I let it get to me, why should it be,
You can take everything from me and yet I wont phase,
Because I have lived in hell and still stay in the same place,
Because I am not welcome anywhere I go,
I don't speak right look right and you know, so,
I don't care I go wherever I please,
Change the way you think of me, if you think of me,
Changed my ways last time I learned my dad tried to overdose,
He's gone now but he's taught me everything he knows,
You treasure those whom you love the most,
But even they can hurt you more than you can know,

But hey, that's life,
Pain raining down until you have no more left to give,
No more life left to live,
But hey, that's life,
When you look up at the sky and all you see is darkness,
And Can feel the Devil's kiss,
But Hey, that's life,
When you realize that even existing is hopeless,
Because you have less now than what you started out with,
But hey, that's life,
When only the ones you love help you carry on,
Or else you woulda been buried and long gone,
But hey, that's life,

Back then I was too afraid to act,
But now I've got all my Loved one's back,
No more will I watch my Mom get beat,
Cuz the last time that happened I wasn't as mean,
So the next guy who calls her a *****,
Better have his life ready to be finished in a ditch,
Because you don't treat a woman that way,
You give her everything and you keep her safe,
Sometimes it was too dangerous to come home,
We took refuge and lived a life alone,
And sometimes I had to come back and be with her,
Because the only time she was safe was when I was near,
Not many people are willing to cause pain with a witness,
So all we had to endure was verbal abuse endless,
Back then it looked like there was a war,
Back when I didn't even have a front door,
Holes in the walls caused by a violent man,
Her boyfriend had control of her in his hand,
But through it all I never left her side,
Begging her to get out and get off this slide,
Black eyes and blood running down her face,
Evidence of it all-all over the place,
Couldn't get her out of his hard grasp,
Makes you wonder why she would even let it last,

But hey, that's life,
Pain raining down until you have no more left to give,
No more life left to live,
But hey, that's life,
When you look up at the sky and all you see is darkness,
And Can feel the Devil's kiss,
But Hey, that's life,
When you realize that even existing is hopeless,
Because you have less now than what you started out with,
But hey, that's life,
When only the ones you love help you carry on,
Or else you woulda been buried and long gone,
But hey, that's life,

I've lost three friends to the streets,
And another three have gone missing,
It's a deadly game when you decide to play,
Because a life and a gun was the same that day,
When you hear of your boy's passing,
You remember that in life there is no relaxing,
Because you're the next one that could be gone,
And then the next life lost wont be long,
But you got to go on and not be afraid,
Because you can't pause when you live day to day,
A place where five dollars can get you killed,
Remember five dollars ain't worth it still,
And where crack takes and rules the streets,
People's lives held by the lines they need,
One by one their lives are destroyed,
Too many people lost to this ploy,
Soon you be seeing them beggin' for quarters,
Pass by cuz you know what they want it for,
And All we want on our streets is peace,
Hard to believe when you see all those that bleed,
Too many times I wish to be gone,
From this place that I have lived life so long,
But where would I go if I left it,
Wondering the earth looking for a heaven,
Wondering if I'll ever find it,
Wondering if I should even try it,
Wondering if it even existed,
But how can I even resist it,
A chance at true happiness,
I wonder if I could even imagine it,
But hey, That's life

"Dreaming"
Did I ever tell you, that you're beautiful,
A million miles apart and yet I still feel you,
I can still sooth and heal you,
It's like you're there right next to me telling me you love me too,
But then I wake up from my dream,
Because you don't exist to me,
I can only imagine a love, it's a mystery,
Adding a life long sentence to my soul of misery,
No kiss for me, Where are you,
Or am I dreaming and being a fool,
To think that someone like you is true,
I don't know where to look, I haven't a clue,
I pray to God, to bring me to you,
The woman with the prefect eyes,
Smile with lips just the right size,
A soft heart with a beautiful mind,
And a personality that's divine,
Lost,
I'm so lost,
Looking for you,
Lost, Searching for you,
I can only hope that I'm lucky,
And that I'll one day run into you,
Why must it be so hard,
To find who I long to be with,
To find whom I long to kiss,
Hold tight and embrace,
Why can't you walk into my life,
The woman I wish to make my wife,
The woman I wish to love forever,
Long gone I'd never forget her,
I could never love another,
Bring her to me, God,
Because can't you see,
Without her I have no reason to be,
She means everything to me,
Please, Oh Please,
Where is this perfect woman,
A girl who would love me,
With every inch of her being,
And end my dreaming,
Share with me a deepened passion,
But I guess I could only imagine,
Because dreams don't come true,
Not until I'm with you...

"Kiss From a Lioness"
I want to get a kiss,
From the lioness/

I want to get bitten,
While I'm big pimpin'/
I want to growl at her,
While I grab that fur/
My face will be beat in,
Or maybe I'll just be eatin'/
But I'll take that risk,
To touch the lioness/

I will feel her claws,
I will need much gauze/
She is twice my size,
Gee, I hope she's nice/
I think I lost my mind,
My leg's not far behind/
But it's just pure bliss,
To kiss the lioness/

I don't want to be her bate,
I really hope she ate/
I see the look in her eye,
That I'm her favorite pie/
I will give her a beer,
I will show no fear/
I want to get drunkest,
With the lioness/

I will get in the cage,
She will be enraged/
I want to pet the kitty,
It will be so pretty/
I think I heard her growl,
I want to be her pal/
Oh man I think I pissed,
Off the lioness/

I think she went insane,
I can feel her pain/
I see her lick her lips,
She want's more than a kiss/
She wants to eat this man,
That's not what I planned/
I think I'm on The List,
Of the lioness/

I just want a kiss,
From the lioness/

You've got it all wrong
I don't seek your love
You could write me a song
But still wouldn't have my heart
You've really gotta think about
To who'm your love, you'll shout.

hehe, :p

*edit* that was kinda worded bad, hehe

I don't write songs
I write entire life times
Because I've lived enough times
To know the right lines
And every girls got code
For me to know
And to type out in bold
In fold is the lyrics of her heart
Explaining her every part
and why she cries
to why her heart dies
and it's my job
to dycipher the words
of her heart...:D

Now it's time for some of my real poems... These two I don't really like a great deal but they're ok, the poems I really like are more personal, hehe, but these ones don't really have any meaning to me at the moment so they're not so personal, but yes... anyway, poems.

2nd August. 05 Reflection

To look in a mirror
I see life
I see me.
The mirror is crashin
My life is falling
Thousands of pieces,
Over the earth they spread.
Shards of glass
And shards of me.
Jigsaw of mirror,
Jigsaw of me.
My life is broken
Pick it up
Piece together the mirror
It is cracked
But there is still reflection,
I can still see life
And I can still see me.

11th Oct. 05 Untitled

Fingerprints on my heart
I've been abandoned
and used.
I was so clean before you came
What have I done
and how.
Meeting you felt like fate
Knowing you like life
then, death.
You tortured my soul with unloving
Discarded my trust of you
for pain.
Anguish, pain, broken inside
I love you, that's what I knew
or thought.
I though you loved me back
But then you left
not quite.
There is still your imprint on my heart
Where you clutched it, holding me
loving me.
And then there was pain
As your heart withdrew from mine
i cried.
I thought it was real
And though you did too
you did-
But lost interest in love
Was it just a game for you
i lost-
You and love all at once
Was it my fault you left
why me.
I still love you can we fix it
Please tell me it's ok
can you.
These words are all I need
But I know I won't hear them
not now.
So now my heart is lost and lonely
I suffer on my own in silence
in love.

A poem from me. I did this a while ago. I think it's retarded, but whatever.

Save Me From Myself

It?s getting harder

For me to think

To breathe

To find the reason that I?m still here

My purpose is pushing me to live

And my life is pushing me to find my purpose

But how can I find it, when I?m looking through a glass

That masks my yells and turns them into cries of happiness

There are things that will stain me for life

Which I am trying to run away from

They call me morbid

And crazy

Even funny

But I?m just scared

Scared of the world

Of people

Of me

My power is beyond what I can imagine

The looks on their faces will be just the opposite

What will they say when it takes effect

What will I do when it does?

Self-control is my weakness

Maybe that?s why it?s getting harder

To think

To breathe

And to find the reason that I?m still here?

The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock

-T.S. Eliot.

Let us go then, you and I,
When the evening is spread out against the sky
Like a patient etherized upon a table;
Let us go, through certain half-deserted streets,
The muttering retreats
Of restless nights in one-night cheap hotels
And sawdust restaurants with oyster-shells
Streets that follow like a tedious argument
Of insidious intent
To lead you to an overwhelming question...
Oh, do not ask, "What is it?"
Let us go and make our visit.

In the room the women come and go
Talking of Michelangelo.

The yellow fog that rubs its back upon the window-panes
The yellow smoke that rubs its muzzle on the window-panes
Licked its tongue into the corners of the evening.
Lingered upon the pools that stand in drains.
Let fall upon its back the soot that falls from chimneys.
Slipped by the terrace, made a sudden leap,
And seeing that it was a soft October night,
Curled once about the house, and fell asleep.

And indeed there will be time
For the yellow smoke that slides along the street,
Rubbing its back upon the window-panes;
There will be time, there will be time
To prepare a face to meet the faces that you meet;
There will be time to murder and create,
And time for all the works and days of hands
That lift and drop a question on your plate;
Time for you and time for me.
And time yet for a hundred indecisions,
And for a hundred visions and revisions,
Before the taking of a toast and tea.

In the room the women come and go
Talking of Michelangelo.

And indeed there will be time
To wonder, "Do I dare?'' and, "Do I dare?''
Time to turn back and descend the stair,
With a bald spot in the middle of my hair--
[They will say: "How his hair is growing thin!'']
My morning coat, my collar mounting firmly to the chin,
My necktie rich and modest, but asserted by a simple pin--
[They will say: "But how his arms and legs are thin!'']
Do I dare
Disturb the universe?
In a minute there is time
For decisions and revisions which a minute will reverse.

For I have known them all already, known them all:
Have known the evenings, mornings, afternoons,
I have measured out my life with coffee spoons;
I know the voices dying with a dying fall
Beneath the music from a farther room.
So how should I presume?

And I have known the eyes already, known them all--
The eyes that fix you in a formulated phrase,
And when I am formulated, sprawling on a pin,
When I am pinned and wriggling on the wall,
Then how should I begin
To spit out all the butt-ends of my days and ways?
And how should I presume?

And I have known the arms already, known them all--
Arms that are braceleted and white and bare
[But in the lamplight, downed with light brown hair!]
Is it perfume from a dress
That makes me so digress?
Arms that lie along a table, or wrap about a shawl.
And should I then presume?
And how should I begin?
. . . . .
Shall I say, I have gone at dusk through narrow streets
And watched the smoke that rises from the pipes
Of lonely men in shirt-sleeves, leaning out of windows? ...

I should have been a pair of ragged claws
Scuttling across the floors of silent seas.

And the afternoon, the evening, sleeps so peacefully!
Smoothed by long fingers,
Asleep. . . tired . . . or it malingers,
Stretched on the floor, here beside you and me.
Should I, after tea and cakes and ices,
Have the strength to force the moment to its crisis?
But though I have wept and fasted, wept and prayed,
Though I have seen my head [grown slightly bald] brought in upon a platter,
I am no prophet--and here's no great matter;
I have seen the moment of my greatness flicker,
And I have seen the eternal Footman hold my coat, and snicker,
And in short, I was afraid.

And would it have been worth it, after all,
After the cups, the marmalade, the tea,
Among the porcelain, among some talk of you and me,
Would it have been worth while,
To have bitten off the matter with a smile,
To have squeezed the universe into a ball
To roll it toward some overwhelming question,
To say: "I am Lazarus, come from the dead,
Come back to tell you all, I shall tell you all''--
If one, settling a pillow by her head,
Should say: "That is not what I meant at all.
That is not it, at all.''

And would it have been worth it, after all,
Would it have been worth while,
After the sunsets and the dooryards and the sprinkled streets,
After the novels, after the teacups, after the skirts that trail along the floor--
And this, and so much more?--
It is impossible to say just what I mean!
But as if a magic lantern threw the nerves in patterns on a screen:
Would it have been worth while
If one, settling a pillow, or throwing off a shawl,
And turning toward the window, should say:
"That is not it at all,
That is not what I meant, at all.''

No! I am not Prince Hamlet, nor was meant to be;
Am an attendant lord, one that will do
To swell a progress, start a scene or two,
Advise the prince; no doubt, an easy tool,
Deferential, glad to be of use,
Politic, cautious, and meticulous;
Full of high sentence, but a bit obtuse;
At times, indeed, almost ridiculous--
Almost, at times, the Fool.

I grow old... I grow old...
I shall wear the bottoms of my trousers rolled.

Shall I part my hair behind? Do I dare to eat a peach?
I shall wear white flannel trousers, and walk upon the beach.
I have heard the mermaids singing, each to each.

I do not think that they will sing to me.

I have seen them riding seaward on the waves
Combing the white hair of the waves blown back
When the wind blows the water white and black.

We have lingered in the chambers of the sea
By sea-girls wreathed with seaweed red and brown
Till human voices wake us, and we drown.

---

Now that is a real poem.

I have only tried my hand on a few poems, but I think this is the best one I have ever written. I posted it on this forum a long time ago, but I think for old time's sake I'll bring it back here. I entered this poem in a contest, but it didn't place. Oh well, I guess judges could never really understand...

Serengeti Storm

~by 2 Die FR

Listen, as I reminisce
Of cubhood times I sorely miss?

Sun stretched golden fingers bright
O?er the rolling landscape might
Grasses touched by blinding light
Yes, Son, I remember when
It was my home, as I knew it then.

Evening fell, and heavens clear
Overlaid with cloud clumps drear
Shrouded by a murky smear
Source from which the rains begot
It was the storm, though I knew it not.

With no warning we were shunt
From our nightly dinner hunt
All knew why, save one small runt
Na?ve to the danger fraught
It was the wet season, though I knew it not.

Songs of somnolent snoring deep
Stubbornly subsiding sleep
As I felt foreboding creep
Stomach taut in nervous knot
It was instinctive, though I knew it not.

Ominous odors thickly hung
Piling on the stench of dung
Hint of morbid things to come
Wafting, lurking through the den
It was a warning, though I knew not when.

Ears pricked to the pitter patter
From outside, a creepy clatter
Dropping down dense sheets of splatter
I believed not ear nor eye
It was the rain, though I knew not why.

Then a low, resounding rumble
Some behemoth lion?s grumble
Roared to make assurance tumble
Fierce intruder raised a scare
It was the thunder, though I knew not where.

From the darkness came so frightening
Flash intense, ignited, brightening
Struck a thin-streaked bolt of lightning
Gone at once but left a terror
All I knew was panicked horror.

Wailing, whimpering, weeping strong
Freed distress I?d held so long
What, oh what, was going on?
Was the world about to end?
I knew not how to comprehend?

Calming comfort cooed inside
Knowing that I could confide
I was with my caring pride
Their scent a friendly, welcome smell
It was my family, and I knew them well.

Huddled close to one another
Father, uncle, sister, brother
I aroused my resting mother
Knowing she would empathize
And give her soothing solace wise.

?Do not fear, my little child
For though the storm is fierce and wild
Filled with malice, irked and riled
Soon enough, the storm will cease
Earth restored to calm and peace.?

Thus the Serengeti flooding
Buried dormant, soaked and mudding
Grasses, trees, and flowers budding
Flourish, freed by tempest tragic?
Mystified me, Nature?s magic.

Source of sky?s obscure disguise
Dawned on me through early eyes
Though surprised, I realized
Good can come in furtive form
So I thanked the secret storm.

Licks and kisses she caressed
My tender, loving lioness
Sat I amazed how I was blessed
But I lay still without a peep
For it was nighttime, time for sleep.

Nath, that one you posted is pretty trippy, I like it...:D

"The Rose That Grew From Concrete" by Tupac

Did you hear about the rose that grew from a crack in the concrete? Proving nature's law is wrong it learned to walk with out having feet. Funny it seems, but by keeping it's dreams, it learned to breathe fresh air. Long live the rose that grew from concrete when no one else even cared.

Midday of darkness - Zack

I see a picture on the wall,
I see a dark cloud outside,
I see my old life in the picture,
That startles me,

I was thinking that i would never see a light shine down on me,
A voice under my bed telling me that i will never escape,
And I pray to god that don't let me losing my anger,
In my dream someone told me that i should take it slow in life,

It's still raining outside,
It's still raining inside me,
I know that there's no shine in this world,
I know that there's no light in my heart,

I try to follow people's footsteps,
And I heard a voice saying that I should make my own footstep,
I try to ignore the voice that disturbs me,
But now I know that voice was trying to lend a hand to save me,

That's quite a good poem Guntur, I really like it. You've done well to write it considering English is your second language too.

Don't worry if your poem is dark and depressing Shadow, I have a lot of poems like that too, but don't feel pressured to show it either, if it's personal and you don't want to share it, then don't.

Oh.. a poem thread. This is interesting, and i also read the other poems as well. Really awsome. Here's my contribution to this tread now...

I did this poem hmm, someone in august i belive and it was and is.. for a very special person ^^ . Ok , here it goes

I ask you, what is life livinng for
Is it love ,lust, desire, dream or maybe fate?
Or for something you are longing for?
Are you seeking something great?

Can't you see that's all just too poetic
All you ever need is right beside you
Are you that blind too see it all?
Or are you doing this on purpose?

You hurt me everytime you long for another
Seeing as no one else is there to bother
I don't want no more from you, but just...
Just for you to see me there.

I stand in the dark, watching, waiting
It is all clear for me now
Can't you see me past the shourd of darkness?
Come, i'll show you how it feels.
Standing emotionless in the cold
As no one hears you, sees you, ignores you
Now go..go away from this lair of darkness
I love you to much to see you in that dispair

Ok, this is kinda depressing and it's about a guy from a story I wrote a long time ago, it's spoken by the girl who loved him. Theres was a tragic love, since he was a complete twat to her.

Your voice brings a bitter chill
Cold and calm and after me
It causes my everything to still
Love me, hold me, let me be.

Your fingers are cold
Heart made of stone
The words have gotten old
But they still chill my bone

Please just hold my hand
Don?t let me lose my way
Take me through this land
The land of yesterday

Bitter tears sting my cheeks
You?re pain is with me still
Memories help me through the weeks
But I fear you?ll get more ill

Years have passed now
And you are gone
I?ll live, though I don?t know how
I?ll never forget you, John

Sometimes the darkest and most gloomy of poems are the best ones, because I think that everyone can relate to them, therefore, everyone writes their own ;)

I think you may be right there. For some reason I find it much easier to write more depressing poems than happy ones, maybe because it is so much easier to think of depressing things than really happy thoughts... I dunno.

Poems...Well, here's one from a friend...She's really good :)

Tattered and Stoned

Eyes dare weakly
Trace along such edge
Crusted over from day's on soaking
But pain screeching through one's head.

Dusk has left
A savior treat for who
Burning be that blade that so
Mutilated you

Punishment is enticing
For one in maddening's days
Pleasure be so enlightening
At the cost of another's pay

Blood so drip
Like the waterfall
That now pours down your cheek
To remember the stones
That were tossed upon you
Leave you weak and at death's peak

And tattered all
That so come to past
As the light so dwindles down

The blade, the stones, the shreds of clothes
Forgotten like you,
Alongside the crusted edge.

Twilight I absolutly love it!

I love the rythm of the verses and the word order, it's so wonderfully written! =D Such awesome work.

23/9/05 To Weep with the Earth

I cry these floods of mine
As the world turns shades of grey
Swallowing me in its misery
There's no escape this time

The world dissolves around me
A sorry, angry mist
'till there is but a carcass left
Nothing more to see

It was the earth, the world
I would sit on it in pain
But now I cry not just for me
But for my home unfurled

And in the silnce deepening
I hear another voice
A haunting song of deepest pain
The world, as well, is weeping

In aching unison we mourn
For everything there used to be
For all things old
For all things born

Each of us torn apart
The sounds of souls in pieces
I'd never known there's been so much
Weighing on our hearts

As my tears hit ashen ground
They slowly seep away
I fear into lifelessness
Before I hear just one more sound

The sweetest voice on all the earth
Sweeping all around me
I search for its owner
Instead I witness birth

The ashen blanket peels slowly back
From the world it hides
Revealing much new tender growth
Which did no colour lack

Still I didn't cease to cry
But my tears were not of pain
Just joy as I saw new life
And stars up in the sky

Seeing a flower so vibrant red
I tenderly reached out
Its silken petals were summer warm
"Oh precious flower." I said

"You see death but you are life
Nothing is more clear
Please show me how to be like you
Your beauty is not rife"

I gently clasped it to my chest
And looked over the earth
A new day just happy to be
Is what I never would have guessed

I smiled out upon earth's field
It shone warmly back
To be happy is life itself
And it's what our hearts did build

-----------------------------------
Is it just me or is the ending a little bit corny :p I think it's mainly just the last verse I don't like.

And this one is an older poem, one that I never thought I'd post, but here I am posting it, hehe, I also used a few lines of this poem on a picture I drew early this year

22/2/05 A Passion

The throb of my heart, my body, my soul
It's stronger than an ocean's waves,
The fire you ignite within me
Spreads faster than a forest's flames.
The comfort I feel in your presence
Is greater than ever I'd dreamt,
But the loneliness I feel without you
Is the most immeasurable event.
I long to be with you, always beside you
Feeling your breath on my skin,
The caress of your lips up against mine
A passion of fiery pleasures within.
To feel your warm curves up against me
Our bodies entangling with love,
My soul flies on the wings of a being
A soft, white, feathery dove.
The peace that it leaves within me
The joy that I feel as you're mine,
You are part of me and I of you
As our souls forever entwine.

-----------------------------------------
So there you have it, poems from me :D

Now... For one to embarrass myself.

Your comforting touch,
My frozen heart awaits
Your warming presence as
The clock whispers the days.

Each night I nod off
To the last ringing word you spoke
Before your sweet breath drifted
Into the starry night.

The wonderful treachery,
The night time stars,
Forbidding your thoughts
To invade my lonely mind.

Miles separating our souls,
Caring, holding fast
Until the morning?s dawn
Shines to a warm rejoice.

Each year slowly inching,
Brings us so near,
And yet so far, isolating
Our restless love.

Moonlight dancing about us,
Mocking our escapable prison.
Prison that does not forbid,
But just as much does not allow.

The prison youth has created,
Containing our wondrously
Secluded ambitions,
Holding back our seething hearts.

Time the key, the only key
To set us free, and yet-
So heavy this key,
And so far is the prison door.

... eh eh eh. I take no credit what-so-ever. I'm just amused. Damn English Lit student, am I.

---

I remember once thinking
How I should write a poem.
A poem about old age;
A poem about how I will walk not with a cane to support my frail weight, but to hold at my side...
- proudly, that is.

I remember once swearing
How my hair would not turn grey.
Turn grey with old age;
Old age that I slowly accended into with wisdom beyond my (numerous) years, streaked white hair...
- gracefully, that is.

I remember once seeing
How they have to climb.
Climb onto the buses;
Those satin-blood cages at six am early morning with every ounce of strenght, mindless chatter...
-sorrowfully, that is.

That is not what I'll be. No, no, not me.

But now I do not remember
How to write that poem.
That poem about old age;
That poem about how I will stand tall with dignity, and pride.
- now I am just chewed barbed wire.

Of course I do not remember
That my hair was once auburn brown.
Golden with life;
Life that left my worn body years ago with the death of another, splintering bones...
- now it is just faded cobwebs in the morning dew.

And no, I do not remember seeing!
My eyes are blackened, and this I cannot see.
I am just one of them;
Clamboring in the morning cold to the last shred of interaction, the actions that commit me...
- strangers, nothing more.

I do not remember swearing any of these things, oh my words.
Maybe because of the death of my lover, those that speak of me.
Maybe because of the death of my father and mother; (Oh, and a younger brother.)
I do not remember feeling any of these these things, forgive me.

So this is what I'll be. Yes, yes, oh me.

---

Poet, I am not. Would like to work on it, though. =)

Woot.. time for another depressive sad poem by me. Enjoy.. well, since it's depressive, don't enjoy.. ere.. you know..:

-Sodom & Gomorrah-

Standing here as a pillar of salt,
I look down upon myself,
And at long last,
The object of my torture,
Of my persecution,
The knife jabbed,
Straight into my heart.

It?s a double bladed sword,
Words inscribed on each side,
Friendship and Memories.

The desire to pull it out,
Is not as unbearable as it may seem.

For though the pain would go,
And a worse one would soon follow.

So I shall stand here,
Looking back at that forbidden city,
Of long ago.

"Family"

He was laid to rest
the minute the lead went through his head
Another one dead
Another one who's life had to end
Where do I begin?
Pain is just another part of the game
It's two parts the same
Two parts insane, insanity
Just to keep reminding me
What I have inside of me, the name
It means so much to me
When I have someone looking up to me
It reminds me what I can be
When I have my own family
And I promise them
That I can give them better
Give them something that matters
A father who's always there
Someone who cares
No pain can out do the joy they'd give
Nothing would be worth more than my kids
I don't want them to see what I did, when I was the same age
Keep them from the same fate
Give me a reason to live
My family, they mean everything to me
And the pain that I learned from living soon vanishes within me

"The Things I Miss"

Let's play
The same way we did when we were children back in the day
Before the rain started raining down on our parade the day we grew to be our age
Let's love
Like when some was always enough when things got rough
Now everything is always the same and I miss your touch
Let's sing
The song that's been sitting in my heart waiting for my baby's loving
Like the day when we first met I miss being with my lady above all things
Just Say
You remember the days of before, before things got complicated
The way you looked at me before, before when you wanted me
Baby, can you look at me the same way
And say the same things you used to say yesterday
My Baby, Those are things I miss everyday

http://rugar.deviantart.com/ <<<Shameless self promotion...:D

"My Insanity"

Are you saying what I'm thinking
Thinking that leads thought to meaning
Meaning that leads us to beating
Annoying habits to keep us dreaming
As if I lost all I had the first night screaming
Beaming lights out my eyes the first sight I'm seeing
Believing is half the battle, the other half is leaving
partial thoughts on the table so seemingly innocent
As if I lost all thought of being none convincing
to myself as I pass out hoping to leaving memories I have inside me
And the past behind me as I commit something so atrociously blindingly
stupid, in mind like all I left inside was outside the realm of my reality
Baby, maybe, save me, and give me everything you have for me
Look in my eyes, sweety
Realize that I lost my mind half past ten and what I have left I write with my pen
Inside a pin where caged animals are kept in, out of touch with everything
Is this just a dream, or is reality what I woke never believing, never seeing
Since seeing is believing, I guess being is just dreaming if I'm caught living life blindly
But they all say it's my insanity...

I really love your poem 'The Things I Miss', I love the feel of it, the rythm, and the subject. It's really well written Roog.

The Hourglass I just wrote this one in about 20 mins, yay for the inspiration of 1am!

These days time seeps slowly by
Can't help but wonder the reason why
Those days are gone,
Our days are gone
And time still slowly passing, dies

It seems just yesterday we met
Were we so filled with false regret
We couldn't see,
We'd never see
That we weren't meant to be, not yet

I'd sit and I would think of you
Unknowing of what I should do
With you so far,
Away so far
A distant place never, I knew

And although we'll be apart still
I like to sometimes think we will
Makes things work out,
We can make out
Or at least pretend our hearts, we'd fill

But acting in this empty street
In always unrelenting heat
Just makes the pain,
It seals the pain
'Till our hearts no longer whole, do beat

So we'll leave with our empty hands
And travel to our seperate lands
A day away,
A life away
Shores with distant, golden sands

Then as I sit here with my mind
I pray that we will always find
Someone to love,
Our one true love
Who'll take away the sands of time

"Waiting to Sleep"

Sitting at the bedside
Of myself in a past life
Living a lie for the last time
Time to heat a heart that's been cold from the start
Night to night no day in sight
The stars are bright but there's no moon tonight
Surviving is a work of art
Staying alive while remaining hard
But maybe I'll see the light
Some day
When the blood doesn't run a river a many miles long
Filled with the songs of a many people gone
Filled with the screams of a many mother's lungs
Filled with the sounds of guns and the sounds of a hundred thousand sons
Oh God
As we bathe in the blood of our brothers, fathers, sisters and mothers
Acting like today maybe it'll all go away until we forget it anyway
Because that's our society
The streets are painted red, up to the trees the weeds are even dead
The only way to the light is to fight because down each alley is another sad story
Where an eye for an eye can soon lead to homocide quicker than you can scream "Where am I?"
Where there's no time to cry and ask God why
Becase the only time you get to rest is when you dead
Silly dreams in your head of a life without death
And peace to those who now rest
Covered in blood it's time to head home with a bullet through your chest
And when you arrive and it's time to return all you've done in life
Tell God that in hell there are still those of us who look to the sky
and ask for mercy and freedom from the thoughts that haunt our minds
Sitting at the bedside
Of myself in a past life
Waiting to finally sleep
A rest in peace

"Your Worst Enemy"

I hear the steady clicking of clocks
Tick tocks heard from block to blocks
Watch your back cuz the hit is on
In a second you can be good as gone
Gone in the wind, rewind till ya see the sign
No time, until ya hear the rhyme, oh my
20 thousand bullets in your back this time
It's whack how they react to an act
Done in perchance only one instance in history
Misery can deal out much more than you or me
So don'y screw with me because I know your ancestry
One call can make your family half of what it used to be
Are you getting used to me, or am I still outside your realm of reality
Ready to strike in spite taking your life one day at a time
I'm deeper than crime, not seen by eyes, the most despised
Until the day comes and the loud thunder thunderous sound of drums
Comes from the skies above signaling the end of my reign of slums
Breaking what you thought you made, taking what you thought was saved
Every day making lies come to reality, making nature succumbed to my abnormality
You can't escape, you can only run through a land raped, innate of a ghetto landscape
Entranced by the chance to land one bullet through your head at the thought of ending up dead instead
Bred to bleed for devious deeds done dirty in the deepest story
Not boring, but too gory, indeed it's been a long journey, so show me what you got for me
The dust is building, storms outside waiting for the air to start chilling, the feeling!
Death painted up on your ceiling as you look up from sleeping, it's creepy!
In the deepest parts of your heart you know that the day draws nearer
Show no fear or you'll end up giving yourself up and your life will end up messed up
Now I know you're still stressed enough, but it's gonna soon blow up with no where to hold up
Wanted in five burrows by five men who just want to hurt you, what you go through!
And worst of all I'm your worst enemy, creating nasty scenarios with no heroes
Waiting for the day you slip up and give up capped in the back with two slugs
No luck when your own conscience is giving you nonsense and you're wanted
Die now or face the consequences of actions done in hard times
When things seemed fine sold some crack and smoked some lines
Now you're framed for killing the big man's main man, no chance
To clear your name because some things just don't go the ways we had dreamed
Before we deemed what was supposed to be would be, but didn't so we need to make a new plan
Before the aftermath of what's at hand gets you canned, landed in some alleyway with no chance to survive either way
Life's funny that way
I'm your worst enemy

"Mike"

Based on a true story...

I wanna tell you a story
A story about Mike
A story stuck in time
A story with a little rhyme

Now Mike had his life together
Played ball, he had nothing better
But maybe a girl sooner or later
A fly honey and soon he'd date her
Moesha, he found and married her
Worked a ten hour shift in his own business
No more ghetto games like he used to witness
No more selling crack, getting jacked
No more running from the cops, and getting popped
Life was good, but still he resembled the hood
It takes only one night to go back to what you known all your life
Mike liked to chill in a bar after working hard
With his homies he'd buy a round for all
But one dude was talking ****
Walked up to Mike half drunk, swung and missed
Mike let him know his distress with his fist
All over was a bloody mess
But this is the ghetto, no one is gonna snitch
For snitches end up in ditches
A week later, same bar same hater
Mike saw him, same dude from a week ago
Dude looked like he had a chip on his shoulder
He got bolder, walked over to Mike, room got colder
All it took was a second to take a life that's lasted decades
Dude shot Mike point blank range in the face
Brains all over the place
And that's how this story ends

Was just trying to throw a song together the other day, didn't get very far and yeah, it's not that great anyway, but yeah...

There you are at the end of the world
Sitting in your mind thinking of that girl
And you wonder, will it last?
Here we are, at last together again
Holding hands like we used to way back when-
We were younger, these years past.

But where are you when the sun goes down?
And where are you when my tears pour out?
And where are you? I wanna shout

...as I said, I didn't get very far, heh.

Some Hillarious malay poem:
Jikalau roboh Kota Melaka, Balik Muar

Turun tangga naik tannga, Lif Rosak

Bersatu kita teguh, bercerai kahwin lagi

If Melacca is destroy, go back to south (malay is on north)

Downstairs Upstairs, Lif out of service

Together we strong, separate just married another one

Untitled
By: Kovu The Lion

These games that I play,
These words that you say,
All affect me in this way,
Unbelievable for the way I feel this very day,
My love for you will never cease
I will love you always and forever,
Until the day that I decease.

I try so hard to satisfy you,
But it seems whatever I do..
Nothing is ever good enough for you, My love
Our love used to fly, and soar through the sky like a dove.

Now we sit together at this bench.
We thought our love would be a sinch (sp?)
But never did we know it would be this hard.
I had to act stupid, one little mistake, and now I'm singing like a bard..

I gave up on you once baby..
Could you please forgive me.. yes no.. Even maybe..?
I love you is that alright..?
I still want to be with you every night...

Laying by your side
This decision in life we could never decide..
It seems we went astray..
And with that.. Our love went away..

Please forgive me baby..
I can't live without you...
I want to be with you baby...
For the rest of my life.. I do I do...

Now the time has come..
Your bus is here and now I wait,
And wonder about our love and what it had become...
I listen to the words "Good Bye" they repeat over and over in my mind
I can't quit thinking about you as you ride away..

And so I sit here now, This very day
Awaiting your return to this spot
and maybe somehow some way
We can forgive each other and start over,
Because all I want.. Is for you to be my lover..

lovely Kovu! fantastic! but as Azzy said, quite sad.....:( :cheese:

And now, a little something from me.

Time:

It is said
That a woman sits in the window
And stares out at the world
She doesn't eat, drink, or do anything
But watch
Watch time pass by

Noone knows how long she's been there
Some say years
Others centuries
Milleniums

Mothers taunt their children saying
She's watching you
The children don't listen
But always take care when they pass her house

She's a legend, a myth they say
But she's there
Always watching
Never losing a second

You Are The One
By: Kovu The Lion

When I look into your eyes,
I See a place like none other.
A place where everything is in peace.
Where everyone is happy.
And where we can be together..
When I hear your voice,
Its like hearing gabriels horn,
Its heavenly tone makes me want to melt..
When I feel your touch,
Its like I've been touched by god himself..
Baby you are the one..

When we run together,
I get this feeling, of feeling wild and free,
I once was told love was not real,
But baby they are wrong, you make me feel.
I have no intentions of hurting you,
I have all intentions of loving you.
I want you in my life,
I want you by myside through all the bad times and its strife.
Because you are the one.

Girl you are my everything
You are my body, you are my mind and soul.
Everything about you is special,
When I'm around you, My worries are gone
When I take your hand, we journey together.
We take this trip like none other, and it never ends.
This romantic journey with no ending, is what I want.
And I will stick by your side to the very end,
Because baby, You are the one.

Another pathetic lil poem from me :)

This is one I wrote about a year ago. I'm not a cutter, but my friend was, so she was a little inspiration for this poem:

The pain never ceases
The blood always stains
All the little pieces
Never come out plain

I?m asking for guidance
Although no one?s there
Wishing I had a chance
Wishing someone would care

Why? I ask-blade hits skin
And it all comes new
And now I feel the sin
Somehow it comes through?.

I'm more into writing short stories.

The Place I Want To Be
By: Kovu The Lion

Who, what, when, where, why,
You answer all these questions,
Just suddenly, like the blink of an eye.

Your beauty continues to reign upon me,
like the rain that falls from the sky,
And I know this is the place I want to be.

For once in my life I am grateful
All because of you...
And from now on, I shall always be faithful

To you, my love.

I was alone, in this world of sorrow,
Until you took my hand, and my heart.
And I knew, this was the place I want to be
But i let you have more, I let you take,
Than merely borrow.

For what is mine, is yours
And all that I am, is you
But most of all, all that I'll ever want..
Is you, for our love shall Endeavor,
Through the good times and the bad,
From now on, till the end of time, Forever.

We have our home, we have our pet.
This child, held fast in your arms,
All these artifacts, are not all you will get
For our love will last a lifetime,
It shall never cease, not as long as I am around.
If you get lost, call my name, and thou shall be found.

But most of all,
while I hold you in my arms..
Embracing you so you don't fall..
Holding you close to my chest...
Right here, Right Now...
This is where I want to be.

And yet another... ^^

Christmas present for Daanzi

A thousand words spoken softly from the most romantic lips couldn't speak what you mean to me
It's as if your love is unexplainable, unimaginable, a thing you must see to believe
Something needed to be experienced, words alone can't explaine it
It's a perfect masterpeice painted with your heart on my soul
Your love's got a hold on me now, it makes me miss you now
Makes me want to kiss you, run my fingers through your hair and whisper to you
Baby, I love you
You mean everything to me, not a second exists where the thought of you is absent
It's got me asking to God, this blessing, what did I do to deserve this
Bill can keep his billions, I'm the richest man in existance
Your love is like the stars spread out across the universe of my soul
Giving light to what was dark
Giving life to the foreign part of my heart
Words can't explaine what you mean to me
In any language it's the same thing
Te amo, T' estimo, Ni mits neki
In otherwords, you mean everything to me
Love is best explained in a language foreign to spoken words
Pass the understanding of any poem verse
Spoken from heart to heart and soul to soul
The ability to touch your heart is gold
But your absence from my presence makes my heart ache
Longing for your touch leaves me hurting
But never doubting that it's worth it
One day my dreams will become a reality
For now, though, I'm just a tree missing it's leaves
Dormant, waiting for spring to bring life into me
Waiting for your love to give it to me
I Can't explaine how much you mean to me
Because you mean everything to me

A Lost Soul
By: Kovu The Lion

I am all alone,
Standing in this Open Door,
Searching for a face, that I know wont be shown.

My Heart is incomplete.
My soul wanders on.
But I shall not..Accept this Defeat.

My love continues on
It prowls the earth,
it searches for you, from dusk, till Dawn.

Though you are gone,
you are still on my mind,
and through my dreams, your face is shown.

You are my only love.
and my love for you shall never fall nor stay the same,
but it shall always rise up above.

My heart calls out to you,
can you not hear it?
And I hope.. Yours is calling Too
It longs to be with you...
And it shall always be yours..
So I shall stand here waiting for the day you return..
and with me, my fiery passion..
For my love shall still burn..

You darling.. Are the greatest love,
I have ever known..
And this lost soul.. Continues to wander..
and one question remains that I ponder...

Where are you my love...
Don't let me search to long...
My soul shall continue its search,
Until I find you...And bring you back to my pearch..

Well yeah.. Kinda found out how a person felt today, felt like writing her a little something. And if you are to see this that special someone.

I hope that you like it :)... :hugs:

Wrote this one about an hour ago, wasn't really sure where I was going with it at all, I just wrote it as it came into my head, but it seems to make sense. The rhythm isn't always right but nothing's perfect :p

23/1/06 The Storyteller

Tell me my fortune storyteller
Tell me what you see
Do I dance in spring with flowers
Does anyone dance with me?

What do you see in visions wise
What does my future hold
Am I forever to be a simpleton
Or to be blessed with fortunes bold ?

Now lean in closer storyteller
Now lean in and do tell
Who it is that I will be with
When resounds the wedding bell

And tell me also seeing one
Tell me loud and clear
How long will I have to wait
?Till I hold that love near

But just you wait one so wise
But just you tell me this
Wise, fortune storyteller you may be
So tell me if this story exists

Is this just a cover storyteller
Is this nothing but a dream
To make me reach for the impossible
Despite how near they seem

Do not trick me with fairy tales
Do not trick me at all
These dreams are not beyond my reach
You will not see me fall

So tell me again dear storyteller
Tell me just how it came to be
That I ended up with my love
Who lives across the sea

Hehe, thankyou Pat. Glad you like it, it's not so great but it's better than some of my other poems.

And here's another one I wrote last night, when I was getting into bed I just had some crazy inspiration :p

23/1/06 A Fly Inside My Head

A fly buzzed out of my head
And this is what he said
"Good day to you
It's five past two
Time for you to go
You better hurry
You better scurry
Or you'll be caught in snow"

And as he flew around
He did land on the ground
And I did suggest
Only in jest
That I sould squash him dead
He dissagreed
And soon did leave
For higher ground instead

But I did follow my friend the fly
For I did not want to pass him by
But just to know
How things do go
That he was inside me
But no reply did come
He just ate a crumb
And flew back in behind my eyes to see

Well, *le gasp* I wrote another poem, or something to that effect I believe. Here ya go:

Trapped in the Yearbooks

As I walk through these hallowed halls,
I?m reminded of times long since past,
Times that no one now recalls.

Those of long ago have left their mark,
The desks, tables, and chairs,
The halls, floors, and bathroom walls.
Their markings are still there.

The pages turn and so much is there,
And so much is gone.

The faces, always happy, never sad,
The faces staring at me,
I can?t recognize them, any of them.

However as the pages turn I realize,
This is my life I?m looking through,
And I?m trapped in the pages,
Will anyone bother to look for me?
Now that I too am now gone.

((Inspiration for this poem came from a lot of thinking, bringing up old memories and realizing how much I missed all of my friends that are gone now. I've been inc ontact with several of them these past few days, it was great. But up till then I'd felt a bit forgotten by them. Anyway.. yeah, there ya go.))

Wow...Your poems are always so sad, Nuka.:(
That was deep, inspired. You know, I have thought recently about my friends at high school, the same ones that have been my best buds since kindergarten (or thereabouts), and how within a year or so when we graduate we all will go our separate ways and probably never cross paths again. Except at high school reunions or something like that, but that just isn't the same...anyway I think I said more than I planned to, but I guess your poem reminded me to enjoy the time I have at school with my friends.

I don't usually write poems but I decided to write this for a friend as a gift. ^^

It's not too great cos' I'm hopeless at poetry. xD Even though we're studying it in English at school.

I'm Sorry For The Way I've Been

I'm sorry for the way I acted last night
I acted like I was trying to be alright
But I soon found out what I meant to you
And I knew it'd be true
That I'd still love you as a good friend, no more, no less.

Time ticks by, I hear voices repeat endlessly in my mind
Why don't I just let my problems unwind?
I sit there, thinking. Every breath I take it just gets harder and harder
Tougher and tougher, longer and longer
And before I notice, you're gone. Right before my eyes.

I know I shouldn't have done that to you, but it's true
I sit there, thinking. When will that day come?
The day we meet up, and have lots of fun
The day we get to know eachother as real life friends
Why, why did I do this to you? I ask myself
I lay down and think. We're good friends and I'm sorry
Sorry for everything I've done.

I hope you can forgive me
You'll be my friend forever and always
And I'm sorry for the way I've been.
Truly, I am.

*********************************
And I haven't got chance to read through everyone elses poems yet though if I get the time, I'll try and comment on them. =D I'm sure most of them are better than mine anyway.

:p

That's a very well written poem Nuka, it makes me think of all the people from the different schools I've been to, and wonder what they're up to.

I was just going through my old book of poem drafts and stuff and found a couple that I thought I might post.

This poem I wrote early last year and it was based around a poem recited by the character Hyzenthlay in Watership Down.

22/2/05 Seasonal Life

I was in the springtime
My body danced with joy,
Every day I felt no pain
Just soft immortal song
As the sky forever blue,
Never a drop did rain.

Every day the feeling
Of pure unending bliss,
Returned to me with ease
As I knew it would last
As the sun forever shone,
Down upon all to please.

Now as the time did pass
I learnt of unocommon few,
Who every day felt great pain
With harsh unending hurt
As the sky forever grey,
Many a drop did rain.

The birds had ceased to sing
For them the spring had passed,
Autumn came and went
As seasons come and go
And they were in the winter,
From spring they had been sent.

I fear that for me now
The leaves turn hues of red,
Soon they will blanket the earth
As winter enters me
As my body freezes, dies,
The rain for me halts birth.

This one I wrote near the end of July last year. I never did any clean up work on this one, what you read is how I originally wrote it. Also I'm not really sure what it's about  hehe

Burying a belief
Hiding behind my face
Reality seems to fade in and out
An oily sea of life
Where I mean nothing

So take me as I am
Or just leave me here
I can't feel, I don't fear
But take me and I'm alive

I'm not sure if this one's finished or not, I never really decided. It's about seasons.
18/9/05
Fiery abandon drifts ever downwards
Veins void of lifeblood cracked and dried
Now lonely limbs reach out in vain
Aspiring to grasp fire for just a moment more
But the world grows bleak.
And the hollow rain is waiting, watching
As quickly as the fire blankets the earth
So the hollow rain does disperse its load
The earth is heavy, the earth is damp
Turning now it trembles.
White, everything seems so old
So fragile in this thin, sweet coat
It crumbles, dancing from shaken limbs
As the earth breathes in, fresh again
Before resting in the cold.

EDIT: Oh darn, I took so long to type all this up that KS posted before me and I didn't get to comment on it. But I'll just say that for someone who doesn't write poems very often it's quite well written. You should write more often.

i also poted this in the song thread, but what the heck

I look at you
While you look at me
And wonder how it can be
That you love I
Just a simple girl
You make me feel out of this world
You hold my hand
And hug me close
And tell me how you would be
All alone in this lonely world
If it wasn't for me

(chorus)
So come on, lets go
To a world where we
Just can be you and me
So take my hand
And lets run away
To a place where you and I can be.

She looks at me
And shakes her head
Asking if im blind, can I see
he's not The One she says
he won't do
he's not from a good society
hes black, a negro
who just won't do
he gets bad grades in school
You're banned from seeing him, never again
should i see his face

(chorus)
So come on, lets go
To a world where we
Just can be you and me
So take my hand
And lets run away
To a place where you and I can be.

I run away
to find you here
searching for an identity
I look in your eyes
they seem so sad
How i wish that I could take your pain
You smile at me
With your sad brown eyes
And say that it can never be
I hold you tight i wanna never let go
As we whisper words of love, quietly

(chorus)
So come on, lets go
To a world where we
Just can be you and me
So take my hand
And lets run away
To a place where you and I can be.

It's been five years
I look at your grave
In loving memory
You took your life
To end your pain
And with you took a part of me
Why did you leave me
Where did you go
I cry these tears alone once again
You left me a letter, Said you did it for us
But why did you have to leave

(chorus)
So come on, lets go
To a world where we
Just can be you and me
So take my hand
And lets run away
To a place where you and I can be.

I didn't write this poem, but it's one of my favourite poems so I wanted to share it anyway. There may be a few errors in punctuation and spelling since I'm typing it from the top of my head.

Jabberwocky by Lewis Carroll

'Twas brillig and the slithey toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe
All mimsy were the borrogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

"Beware the Jabberwock my son
The jaws that bite, the claws the catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird and shun
The frumious bandersnatch!"

He took his vorpal sword in hand
Long time the manxome foe he saught
And rested he by the Tum Tum tree,
And stood a while in thought.

And as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the Tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came.

"One, two! One, two! And through and through"
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack
He left it dead and with it's head
He went gallumphing back.

"And has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms my beamish boy
Oh, Frabjous day! Callooh, callay"
He cortled in his joy.

Twas brillig and the slithey toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe
All mimsy were the borrogoves,
And the mome wraths outgrabe.

EDIT: And one that I just wrote myself

Kangaroo Feathers 27/1/06

There was a place, many years ago
When the sound of silence broken,
Was filled with cracks of gunpowder
And it was declared war season open.
Dressed in slouch hats, khaki green
And hoisted shoulder high,
A single gun, never yet used
With which to defend them by.
Strong and brave these young men were
A chance to prove their worth
Yet none of these young men quite knew
What would befall the earth.
Angry bullets tearing at tender flesh
Cold led turned to rivers red,
As many men from countries far
Fall to the ground now lifeless, dead.
Reverberation country-wide
To lose so many lives so young,
Our soldiers won?t see home again
Mourning families, lives unsung.
To all those soldiers, lest we forget
All that remains is memories,
And a single Kangaroo feather
Blowing gently in the breeze.

Icouldn't imagine trying to analyze that... I suppose if you knew some information on the author and his/her background then you might be able to relate even that bit of a jumble of strange words into a sort of storyline.. hmm...

Azerane
January 27th, 2006, 05:29 AM
Ahh... what a crap poem to have to analyse! :p hehe, firstly because it's about killing a jabberwocky and secondly because half the words in it don't even exist! :p

EDIT: @Nuka, I've heard this poem so many times, my art teacher used to recite it sometimes and at first it didn't make much sense but now that I know it myself even the nonsense words seem to make sense and form a picture in my mind.

Just read the last two pages...and I liked what I read..I'm not going to comment on each one individually because I am lazy...:p

Two I wrote in the last week or so..

This one I wrote in about ten minutes..

"Looking Out My Window"

Looking out the window
In a city filled with strangers
Filled with people meaning nothing to me
All I can see is emptiness
The streets lined with sidewalks
Houses and lofts
Apartments and garbages
Asphalt below me
In this city
Waiting for some beauty
Everyday as I look out my window
Telling myself any day now
Waiting for her
Looking out my window
Waiting for her
The window to my heart
Leading to every other part
Of my body and soul
Void and now a hole
Leaving me to look out the window
Waiting for her to love me
Waiting for my baby
In the meantime the streets remain barren
Docile and uncaring
Void of emotions
Waiting like a flood the size of the oceans
To enter my heart and give it something
Because right now I have nothing
Waiting for a signal from her
To see if she cares
If she can even see that far
Into my heart
Realizing that it's deeper than the Pacific
Grander than the Stars
Bigger than the universe
And it's all for her
But I don't think she can see it
Until then, I'll be waiting
Looking out my window

"Loving You"

Through the fires that burn beside us
In the world of pain and misery
Something always comes to me
And takes it all away
Makes it all okay
Love from my lady
My baby
Bringing mercy to a soul in need
Taking away all that harms me
Making everything seem so lovingly everyday
So heavenly

The light hits your eyes
Makes them sparkle like the night sky
Takes the darkness out of night time
Makes anytime the right time
To be loving you

The sound of your voice
Is like singing to my ears
Soothing the saddest tears
I could spend a thousand years
Loving you

The world beside me
Falls around behind me
Taking life after life
And leaves me realizing
What it is inside me
That keeps me going
And that's your love
Taking hit after hit
Bloody nose and busted lip
Broken bones and messed up hip
Coming home to you
Makes it all worth it
Because your love will always heal me
Gives me the strength to keep going

The feel of your breath on me
Gives me a feeling that you'll always love me
Something so heavenly
Has got me saying
I will always love you

I see you in my dreams
It's as if it seems
Fate is telling me
That I should be
Always loving you

Take my hand
And dance with me
Pull your body close to me
And listen to my heart beat
And realize that you love me
Look into my eyes
And realize
That I will always be there for you
That I wont let anything hurt you
I'm the man that's perfect for you
And dance with me
Into the moon light
Of a night that lasts forever
Forever loving you

Wasn't going to post this one but y'know. I'm not sure if it's finished yet... but I wrote these three verses and just nothing else would come. Who knows.. maybe it is finished, I'd like to write but just can't seem to. I thought up the whole poem on the way to work on the bus the other day... had to make sure I memorised it for when I got home so I could write it down, heh.

25/1/06
Turning in the night
I feel my lover, warm
A symphony of delight
Embraced by my loves form

I open up my eyes
To gaze upon my love
As his body deeply sighs
Content, we're up above

Embraced by my lover
The hours drift away
I could never love another
And so I'm here to stay

awws ^^ *tears up* Its amazing Azerane, you are very talented, I have a question for you

Does your school (if you are in one) Run a newspaper? Mine does and they allow you to put your stuff into the paper (poems, stories, etc) ^^

and I put mine, just wanted to know if you did xP

Azerane
February 5th, 2006, 06:37 AM
Thanks so much KTL. And to answer your question, our school didn't have a newspaper, my school was only very small. We had a fortnightly newsletter but that wasn't for that sort of thing. So I never had any poems put in anything. And now even if my school had a newspaper I couldn't put them in because I'm finished school, hehe.

New one from me..."Message"

Can you hear the rain
Raining down from the clouds above
giving love to the ground below
Hoping that things will grow
Giving it time to sow
the seeds of time and good deeds
Living life like we need the peace
Instead of the disease we call industry and money
Hoping things will be good someday
But until then murder seems to be here to stay
Wars come and go like it's a game
Played for the richest and the name
of the religion you speak and praise
But when will love be here to take it's place
I don't know, let's just end the craze
Bring together every race
And make this a better place
To raise our childen like we care again
But instead I hear the sounds of death
Getting louder as the sickness spreads
Killing and murder will never rest
As we fight to keep our heads
Hoping to forget the past
Like there's a pill we can take to end it fast
But the first step is in our backyards
Where things tend to be backwards
Down right ugly copped by bastards
Can't seem to get a break to rest us
As the life of the slums test us
And oppress us into thinking we can make it
But instead the money we earn is taken
And we will never see it again
Instead you see it in the richest's porches
Four course meals while there's people starving
Twenty thousand dollar pocket watches
Why do we spend like this
Time to remember why we have to stop this
And stop to look at our reflection
And let the light in
And love like we know what it's like again
Hoping to get things right again
Every life has a part in this
We just have to take the action
To lead ourselves in the right direction
Better vote in the next election
The last time we learned our lesson
Now we got to send the message
that we must stand up and make a difference
No more excuses in this
Let's change the future with this
And it all starts with our own consciences

I wrote this poem after seeing an anti-war demonstration I saw at school today. A bunch of them were holding up signs with pictures of soldiers on them with the word murderer underneath it. That really annoyed me, and so, here ya go.

Our Soldier

A million picket signs,
And millions more chanting.
This lack of patriotism, I swear,
Is really quite disenchanting.

Hate the war,
Not the warrior.
For he performs a noble civic duty,
Yet some still call him a murderer.

I?ve been to the buildings,
At a time before they fell.
And I?ve been to them afterwards,
That place was worse than hell.

This nation had to do something,
And though many question why.
I?d rather have half the nation hate the other,
Than do nothing and watch thousands of more innocents die.

Whether this fight is right or wrong,
That is not my call to make.
But to sit idly by and it happen again..
That, my friend, would be a fatal mistake.

Where the sun is hot,
And the barrels are hotter.
Brave men and women die,
And become cannon fodder.

But it takes a great deal of bravery and honor,
To climb up over your dead brother.
And continue to fight on,
For they?re still protecting all our mothers.

And so I feel I must plead,
That whatever you do.
Please, support your soldier,
Cause he?ll die for you.

Very nice poem, Kintaru...and I fully agree.

"In the Verses"

Days into the weeks of years in the centuries
My soul has been around since the beginning
Listening to the pains of man
Caused by the hand of his brotheren
Hoping to love again
But instead there's even more that are dead
Wars as each other are shot in the head
Gone is the God that lead it all to this end
The love, is it there or is it all just hidden
War is just the beginning

You got wars on the other side of the world
Wars in your backyards
War on drugs got the country swinging backwards
Gang violence taking over our worlds
Scarring the things we hold dear
Killing family members
taking friends that we've known for years
Tears gone empty after the first pearce
When your ears heard those famliar words
"Shot in the head, didn't have a chance"
Violence
Streaks across the land in a deadly silence
Stabbing hearts a thousand times
As it takes a thousand lives all in one night
Gone and out of sight in a second
Leaving behind a legacy of death
And it lives in your head until one day it splits it open
Breaking your brain and leaving nothing
Soul bender taking and raping all hope all together
As you wait to see the end of this bad weather
In a land of the mild mannered, love hating slander
Of a perivial mind bender silenced by the death of another
Murder doesn't speak, it's thunderous
Shaking the skins of all around in it's circumference
Breaking the distance of the surrounding living citizens
To see what they witness in the cities caressed in violence

There's a message in the verses
I so violently converse in this
Can you hear it or are you deaf to it
Listen up
Before the words are lost
Hear
Before you forget the cause
Because
In a second all could be gone
And all you would have left is just your idol thoughts

The streets are cracking from the heat
Placed upon them in the wars that they breed
The war is in our cities
Not in countries that we can't speak the language
The land of the rich is the land of the poverty
Where streets are battle grounds to want and greed
taking lives caught up in the middle of it
The heat boiling blisters on the innocent
In an instant, many lives could be ended
Blown to pieces my the pieces that we carry with us
taken to bed with us as we let it lie on our consciouses
No innocence when there's no peace in the land that we live
gone is the dream that we said we would give our kids
When the violence pulls them in and corrupts the family unit
That is suppost to be their net in such a cirumstance
Instead we got kids living as gangstas
Because that's the only place they can get some love from
When Dad's gone and Mom's never home
When the sound of guns is something you fall asleep to
And in the morning "I see dead people" is said with some truth

There's a message in the verses
I so violently converse in this

---------

"I Spy"

I see with my little eye
Attempted Suicide
Criminal minds
Lurking to take a life
Looking to make you cry
Walking homocide
Talking like you try
But in a moments time
You run and try to hide
It's just like
You afraid to confront what lies

In my heart
there's two enemies at war
Tearing apart
What was love before
The good
And the bad
taking on the past
Replaying all my wars
And taking all I had
From the roof to the floors
Opening all my doors
In my heart
there's two enemies at war

I spy with my little eye
Domestic violence
Noises in the silence
Permanent mindset
Like it's accepted
She can't help it
It's a head trip
mind games
Got your head ripped
Hooked on the acid
Of the romantic, two-faced addict

I see with my perfect vision
The anger inside me
the things that i dream
the things that i see
The pain that it brings
And it just ignites me
Burns the fires inside me
Hurts the love that guides me
making life horrifying
When the things that i dream
Soon become what I see

In my heart
there's two enemies at war
Tearing apart
What was love before
The good
And the bad
taking on the past
Replaying all my wars
And taking all I had
From the roof to the floors
Opening all my doors
In my heart
there's two enemies at war

I lost my emotion
Cost of the motion
Violent ocean
City of tucson
Where there's two suns
One in the morning
And one looking for me
Hoping to hook and hold me
Took the old me
Molded my soul sea
to change what I should see
And added the violently
Disturbing acts that haunt my dreams
Can't escape sleep
And the sight of my enemies
When they're inside me
Sleeping and hiding
Waiting to awake
At the first sign I hide within me
Sleeping, Waiting, to get inside my memory
Until it's a part of me
And that's the start of me
No more love will be inside of me
After the war with my enemies...

Did you know that the light of your eyes
Casts the perfect shade of light on my life
From your brown eyes I couldn't sleep last night
Because I imagined looking into them at all times
When I see diamonds I am reminded
that I have one in my life
All the other gems are jealous
of the beauty of my find
Because your beauty is unimagined
The work of the most romantic words
Thought up in every romantic verse
Cohersed into something so beautifully heard
Causes me to utter the words
left unspoken to any other girl
I love you

The night has come
but the stars are nowhere to be found
and so the moon is lonely
As am I

To lay beneath the sky
bathed in rays so soft and soothing
my mind is at rest
I wait

A million miles
a million stars I cannot see
a place that?s home to you
But not to me

Just one breath
and the night is forever
an expanse of emptiness
And loneliness

Oh precious time
whatever happened to those slow, lazy days
when nothing ever mattered
Save for him

So goodnight
the sweet moon will take care of me
i?ll release my dreams for you
And only you

The moon and I
we travel to worlds so distant
yet the sky never changes
Lost and gone

I will return
just as sure as the sun will rise
so I will return to you
My everything

Do not cry for me
my heart may seem so lifeless
yet I still feel for you
I live

15/2/06

My love went to sea on a crimson boat
Void of all wood and tar,
He took with him my treasure
At his own bold leisure
Not seeing what we two are;

On oceans salty and on oceans sweet
He sailed all the earth,
Swabbing pulsing decks dismay
As lost hearts ran away
A bleeding mess of his worth;

The journey sailed was long and arduous
One to be reckoned by,
But my love did not achieve
What wished my heart recieve
Stole his crimson ship awry;

An eternal curtain of red water
Drip, dropping slowly down

...kinda got bored with it after that, just couldn't get it to work out the way I wanted it to. The stanza length I wanted just didn't want to work with the rhythm. So it's crappy, though I do like it as it is different from my other poems. Wanted to write something less straighfoward and more metaphorical, hehe... but it's kinda silly :p

I wrote this about WWI. Post what you like about it, or what you don't like. Or don't post anything. I dunno, I just hope you read it.

At War

I step onto the battlefield; my heart is beating fast
My throat is tight because I know this day might be my last.
My eyes are dark and weary; my face is caked in blood
Several days will feel like months in trenches dug in mud.

Although I?m only a young lad, I?m fighting here in France
Will I ever make it back? Maybe there?s a chance.
I?ve found it helps not to think of what I?ve left behind
But I?ll never erase them; they?ll be always on my mind.

I?m woken up by gunshots; they still ring as I rest
But sometimes I must stay awake; it really is a test.
I know just why I?m fighting, I know that I shall die
Whether I shall be shot down or I?ll burn like a guy.

I know I?m fighting for my king and my great country, yes
But I really wish I was at home, where I won?t be shot to death.
And then, armed with a rifle, came a stupid Fritz
He aims straight for my best mate, and bloody hell, it hits.

I then bring up my pistol and shoot him in the head
He tries to duck but he?s too slow, I grin and he is dead.
The grin then fades straight from my face as I realise what I?ve done
I have killed an enemy, yes, I have killed a Hun.

I?ve killed a man about my age, it?s like I?ve killed myself,
And for the first time I witness a death.
I go from pleasure to sorrow, I?m crying more and more,
I really feel I know this now,
This thing that we call war.

Something I just started writing today... it's called Afraid of the Dark, but I don't seem to have gotten to the fear part yet, lol.. anyway, here it is..

Afraid of the Dark
21/2/06

Shadows embracing the corners
Where golden fingers dare not pry
The light unable to reach so deep
The darkness plays eye-spy

Yet never do the shadows reach
Beyond their corner lairs
Blistering sunlight keeps them at bay
Busy with life?s affairs

Though as the sun turns a corner
Shadows embrace the world,
A blanket of chill darkness
Around all objects curled

Very nice, Azerane and Monai. I like good poems about War and all. Azerane, when are you going to finish your Fear poem?..:cheese:

New one I wrote a few days ago...

"Someday We'll Meet"

A cure for my loneliness
Lies in the arms of a woman
But that woman is not present here at the moment
And my loneliness conquers my enviroment
Where is this woman meant to end all of this
I want to meet her and thank her for giving me love
And love her because that's what a real man does
A real man doesn't love em and leave em and cheat on his Baby
He stays true to her and loves her because she completes him unlike so many
The final piece to the puzzle meant to endure this struggle
My baby meant to cure and pop the bubble
My life ain't nothin' but trouble and I try to come out on top
But sometimes it becomes hard, when a friend is shot and killed on the Boulevard
The life we live can leave so many scars, so many friends behind bars
But I never got caught up in the game
the struggle's enough to test my patients
As long as I got my baby, I can endure and make it
But that leaves me asking, where is she
I hope that one day she reads this, and realizes
that she's the one meant to be with me and live with no more loneliness
Who knows, maybe she already knows me and she doesn't know it yet
And fate conspires to make us one one day
It can come out that way, maybe, I'll have to wait and see
Wait for her, I'll wait for centuries, until history mentions me
And I'm a figure of some inportance in society
Instead of living trying to get by with my nine to five
trying to live my life as my friends die, hoping to survive
The struggle that takes over our lives
And makes getting successful even more of a prize
Because when you have nothing, everything is something to gain
Love being the first thing, Got it down on my wish list
Hoping to find a woman to make that list complete by saying yes
When I ask to be married to her for life, for eternity
Always loving, asking her for something as big as marriage and to stay true to me
I'll give her the heart that I carry
My life for hers any day, but always hoping that things never turn that way
For me, because I never want to see my Baby in pain
Please God, if someone has to die, please let it be me
I have no fear of what the next life will bring
Because I hope by then that the love of my Baby will bring the best out of me
If it ever came down to something like this, My life to save hers
I would take the gun and end mine in an instant, so please don't take hers
Because that's how much she would mean to me
So if you're out there, Baby, I hope that someday we'll get to meet...

----------------------------------------------------------------------

A newer one...I'm not too sure about it...

*no title yet*

I hear the children crying
As I'm living in the time
I am spending here on earth
I have no idea why
The children cry
Maybe they need to be heard

Baby boy born a bastard
Father left last year
After he heard his wife was pregnant and wanted to give birth
He was too young to be a father or give a ****
Because that's what happens when kids have kids
Now what's a young mother to do
No job, no education, and family wont help you
Adoption's not an option
Because you want to keep your son
Two lives ended before they begun
Poverty has claimed another one
A mother and son
Maybe the strength the father didn't have
Will be in the creation of the fling you had
And he'll be more of a man
than the man he has never met

I hear the children crying
As I'm living in the time
I am spending here on earth
I have no idea why
The children cry
Maybe they need to be heard

Gunfire fills the air we breathe
Mommy and daddy something bad is happening
But Daddy is gone now, he was shot dead on the streets
Just like your older brother was last week
And Mommy's addicted to cocain
Things don't matter to her because she needs her fix
And for that she'll do anything
You both go shopping, but not for groceries
That's where she makes her purchases
But this time she was busted
That's the last you'll ever see of her
Because in jail she commited suicide
Seven years old and this is your life
You now belong to the state
Because you ran out of parents and family

I hear the children crying
As I'm living in the time
I am spending here on earth
I have no idea why
The children cry
Maybe they need to be heard

Twelve years old and your Mom just got a new man to hold
One night things got a little heated
arguements lead to a beating and it now happens weekly
Her head is bleeding
Doors kicked in and things are broken
She's too afraid to call the cops because that may make his bubble pop
Fear is non-stop
One day things go a little too far
He's standing over her with a crowbar
And ready to swing and break things in her body
Adrenaline runs through and you got to act quickly
Knives in the second shelf of the kitchen
Take the biggest one and stab him in the back before he swung
Blood coming out his lungs and his life is done
No one won because in the end the only thing gained is the results of the violence

Very very nice LR :) I liked both.. especially the last one... heres from me.. inspired by a special someone...

my hand upon cheek,
eyes burn passionately
your body, soft, weak

your breath washing me away,
essence pouring over me
losing me througout the day

you, I embrace
held close,
face to face

i speak from day, to night.. to day,
but to you these words,
I love you, I'd gladly say

Hands begin to tremble
eyes gazing still,
my courage does assemble

slowly i fall, down to kneel
words clustered together in mind,
to express, which ways I feel

your hand held tight,
words formed in mind,
a small box.. appears in sight

looking up to see your face,
gazing in awe..
opening up case..

A smile now forming
gently, inviting warming.

Will you?
Blushing, Smiling...
Willingly, I do.

To Azerane: The one called "Afraid of the Dark"..:cheese:

I like that poem KTL...the next to last stanza seems kinda short, though, as it has two lines instead of three.

One I'm working on:

With every beat of my heart
It feels as if my soul is ripping apart
I am fighting an enemy I can't even see
hidden deep within-inside of me
My mind keeps me company
But it's my mind that keeps me from sleeping comfortably
the fight gets harder everyday
Looking back makes you miss what it's like at age 8
My friend is now laying dead on the pavement
Life can be like hell or heaven in a second
The memories are coming back and haunting me
Causing me to see visions of being killed violently
Silently I fight the demons taking over
Sometimes I can't see living to be that much older
I'm coming from hell and the gutter
And so is my friend who's brother was killed by his other brother
I guess God remains an undercover
As bullets ring out and take yet another brother
The world remains cold and gives you cold shoulders
You're always alone in this world of lone soldiers
Lord are you there to hear all of my prayers
Or am I looking up to the sky just to see the stars' glares
Somedays I wish I could shed a few tears
but my heart's hardend from the violence that I've seen over the years

Here's an older one I don't think I posted...
18/9/05 Seasons (or some such similar title)

Fiery abandon drifts ever downwards
Veins void of lifeblood cracked and dried
Now lonely limbs reach out in vain
Aspiring to grasp fire for just a moment more
But the world grows bleak.
And the hollow rain is waiting, watching
As quickly as the fire blankets the earth
So the hollow rain does disperse its load
The earth is heavy, the earth is damp
Turning now it trembles.
White, everything seems so old
So fragile in this thin, sweet coat
It crumbles, dancing from shaken limbs
As the earth breathes in, fresh again
Before resting in the cold.

I just call this one "The Night", cos i'm so lame

------------------------------------------

I lie awake in bed at night,
Looking at the moon so bright.
And to this day i'm wondering why
You had left me here to cry

You said you didnt feel the same
And that i was the one to blame.
And though my love for you is real
You wont believe the way i feel.

I said it came as quite a shock,
Although, one day, i knew you'd knock
Upon my door and say to me
"I have to go. I have to flee"

But if you had meant what you said before
You wouldnt have knocked upon my door
So here I am, awake at night
And Wandering towards the light.

It's the best i can do for 3 in the morning :p

Dead Inside

Inspiration from the darkest hour in my life.

Thanks to Radiohead (Creep) and Hall and Oats (She's Gone), good song though;).

Sorry for the Promise I make,
because I was damn blind too see your eyes.
When I'm all alone,
an angel whisper to me.
Wake up from this unreal dream.

She tell me all the sin that I've done.
she make me to see you again.
She tell me that I've shattered someone heart.
And leave her alone in the cold night without any Guardian.

I'm only hope that an angel protect her.
And I Pay the devil to replace her.
I'll let the cigarette choke my thoughts away.
and I'll let my self high to forget my thought of you.

Now I can't see your shining eyes anymore
I'm afraid too see your shadow.
I'm afraid too see the world.
and I'm walk alone in this cold world.

-------------------

"The World I Can Give to You"

Tonight I see
What could be with you and me
under the star light romantically
As the sun goes down
and paints the sky every color
And the stars soon become our only cover
To hide our deep desire for one another

There's not a soul around
Baby, you and I are alone
And I'm about to make you feel
As if you're the only girl alive
I want to make you touch the sky
And reach for those stars
And try in might to reach the moon's light

Candles burn
Until they can burn no more
But our fire keeps the light burning brighter
Through out the night holding you tight
and in the morning treating you right
Until you can't reach much higher
But I will bring you to a new sky

In the distance
The city lights flicker with life
But in the hills love is the only voice
Calling to our souls like the coyote to the moon
The silouette of you is so beautiful
I can't help but take notice of you
As you inch closer and closer and closer

And closer
Until I feel the warmth of you
And I can hear you heart beat upon me
Our hearts becoming one beat like it was meant to be
And we paint our passion upon the sky
Lit up bright by the star light
Representing our love tonight

Can you feel it
In your soul and heart
A feeling powerful enough to rip you apart
But let me hold you in my arms
And help keep you together
Loving you with every breath I take
Ending this night the right way

I can't love any other woman
Because you are beautiful beyond the imagination
And every night can be ours to live
To light on fire with a passion so deep
that the oceans in this world couldn't keep
All you have to say is that you love me too
And this world I can give to you...

-----------------------------------------------------------

"Heavenly Dream"

Just a whisper mentioned
On the ears of my family
And to those who love me
Please don't mourn for me
Just leave me as a distant memory
Lost in the centuries
Just another body in the cemetary
Another soul in the afterlife
Looking back at the aftermath
And I had to laugh
At the good times
And cry at the bad ones
The sad ones leaving hope
that did or didn't come
Then I wake up in a heaven
I can't believe the sight I'm seeing
No pain, don't know what it even means
The sadness that was inside of me
Was drained out as fast as lightning
Then I saw my friends
And I saw my dad
And the family I never met
Today was a day that I thought could never exist
Then I wake up from my dream
And the next night another brother bleeds
Shot up over some weed
And now he's in heaven
living that dream for me

This is what happens when I'm bored.

<untitled, still>

There?s a certain beauty in your tears
As you weep over there in that shadowed corner.
You try to fight this.
No one believes you, because you?ve already failed.
The mascara running down that over-presented face tells all,
the one persistent theme being ?catastrophe?.
Tonight, ladies and gents, there?s a shotgun wedding,
all invited.
The bride: your fear of ineptitude;
the groom: your ambition to succeed.
These dreams are simply the script that the director cut from the finished production.
They shall never make it into reality, the public?s view of reality at least.
And the rage that wells up inside you comes to nothing,
for after every time you?ve tried,
hoped,
failed,
you return to that shadowed corner,
where at least people recognise that
there?s a certain beauty in your tears.

^Hehe... you're silly :p But thankyou :D

Something I found in my old poetry book, written September '05. If I remember rightly, I wrote it from the fear of if Kintaru ever just suddenly stopped coming on msn or e-mailing me... and then me never knowing what happened... and yeah... :D

As I walk these empty streets
I can't help but think,
Of what could have been.
In this always unrelenting heat
My mind and heart are numb,
Why did it end?

We were there and flying,
Dancing in each other's love
Until your fire went out.

Each and every day, I waited
Hoping for any word,
Just one...
And still I waited,
The sun rose, and set.
These are the longest hours.

If you died, I miss you,
And I'll forever miss you.
If you've found someone else,
Thankyou for the time we shared.
But I'm broken and used
If you lied to my heart.

Here's a Freestyle I call "October FreeStyle"...a freestyle is just writing down what comes to mind...well, actually it's coming up with lyrics to a beat off the top of your head...made popular in freestyle battles..

This took me about 8 to 10 minutes:

I'm living month to month
Say what
It's not enough
waitng for some
But it doesn't come
I guess it's all said and done
When the sun sets it's won
And it's one and done
Until the sun sets a new day
And rises in a new way
Over hills and valleys
Waiting for centuries
For just a mentioning
Of someone hoping to be
What I could never be
Thinking what I could never think
Wishing for everything
everyday
Until it's a reality and not a dream
Can you feel me
Or are you deaf to these words I speak
These streets are mean
To those making an honest living
Got to be demented
To survive even for a moment
If you own it
It's stolen by Christmas
I guess that's just how life is
Don't blame me, I didn't write it
I just write this verse I converse
With rage like an animal caged for days
Trying to escape in any way
Biting bars until teeth fall out
Clawing the ground
Until claws go dull
Staring at the wall
Until time stands still
And I can't tell
That the smell of death is chill
And I die with these words on my chest
Shot through my vest
Leaving a mess in the hall where I lived

Nice, Black Lion...:cheese:

A new piece I wrote last night...or the night before...:D

"I'm Having Visions"

Rivers and the life they've given us
But what about the rivers that live within us
We are all sinners
Do wrong, like a sad song
Wanting to be winners all along
It wont be long
Until the river in you dries up
From giving up when life gets harda'
It's hard to die a martyr
Living life as a soldier
As the world around you gets colder
You gotta be strong
You can never belong
So you might as well dream on
These demons
Gaining ground in this war we wage
Friends victim of the rage
That lasts for days, months, and centuries
Please don't mention me
Because when I'm deceased
I want to go in peace
Leaving good memories
For people to remember me
I'm having visions...

I have visions of my friends dead
Hoping life has a happy endin'
It's the good that I'm wishin'
But it's the bad that I'm given
I'm having visions...

But it's hard
Not to think back
To a day that seems black
Painted in red
Where's my friend at?
Lying dead on the pavement
Wondering where's the peace at
When a piece fired two lead
Red hot bullets into his head
And now he's dead
It's hard to look ahead
When that day seems to never end
Goodbye my friend
Maybe I'll see you again
When it's my turn to leave this land
I'm having visions...

I have visions of my friends dead
Hoping life has a happy endin'
It's the good that I'm wishin'
But it's the bad that I'm given
I'm having visions...

I turn to God
And ask him why
This pain has me contemplating suicide
So I denounce my religion
And all its visions
Hoping to get out this prison that I'm livin'
The good is killed by these demons
With no reasons
But greed and revenge
Hatred at the helm
Screamin'
But there's no one to help
So I turn to myself
To get out of this hell
God lives within me
Not in a book that I read
Hoping that he'll have mercy and come to save me
Maybe he'll take me away from this place
And erase
All that I've seen and experienced
Witness to the evilness of man
No chance to fight back
Life's life and that's that
I'm having visions...

CHARCOAL SEX

Murder scrape the wall,
Thought you owned it all?
Fists of fury - vision blurry,
Bewildered rage - the beast be free from cage.

Shadows stalk, slow the walk.
Eyes of ice, the devious device.
Grit the teeth, stain the wreath.
Hunger hollow - your mind will follow.

Weapon of steel - my heart will not feel.
Bleeding raw, through it all.
Strike the match, that?s the catch.
Flames! Burning high, to the sky.

Panic blood, dive into the mud.
Black pit heaven, mirror to the hell we live in.
Miss , escape, in dire control you will rape.

Pound! The ground!
Smash, the glass.
Try - to die.

Chanting loud, make them proud.
Fight or flight.
Use your might.
From stone cold lust, this death is a must!

Dance the flames. Win, the games.
Laugh the sick, suffer the trick.
Vomit the good, - IF WE

C O U L D

No damned freedom! What evil we breed in!
I fight to live, live to fight.
The wounds, my doom -
Is clear before me now the world will fear.

T
H
E

W R A T H.

Long, and strong. I could only afford the sword.
Weakness broke, flood the gates.
Don?t stop me now, you?re all too late.
Frenzy! Can?t stop now can we?

Murder, steal, rape, eat.
Never accept the enemies defeat!
Beat them down, to the ground.
Break their face, the s*** disgrace!

Burn the home, I?ve got - nowhere to roam.
Steal it?s money, all compassion - stolen from me.
Rape the innocent, the truth - it?s what I meant.
Beat the foe, it?s mad - you would never know.

Scream! The walls turn white, the skies turn night.
Eyes of red, hollow head.
Claws of stone, morbid bone.
Creep in the dark, leave your mark.

Tremble in the reef, weep - in grief.
Crawl on your gut , the filth - f****** slut.
Eat the dust, feel - damn wasted lust!
Claw at you ears, gouge out your eyes, - such foiled demise!

End.

War of the Age.
Unending rage.

The time has come.
To stand among.
The unknown - alone.
To fight. To take flight.
Into the bowels of hell.

Freedom Bell!
Ring. Echo.
Let us know.

No sound. No sun.
The war has begun.
March!
Into the depths of evil.

The hum of the drum -
Rattle of the battle -
Days of the bloody waves.

Silent steeds - our decree.
Shake the ground, scream the sound.
Around the earth, let madness birth.

Cold mud , hot blood.
Stiff hands, endless demands.
Tyrant kings, thrilling things.
Bewilderment!

Flying lead- knocking dead.
Gritting teeth, now unsheathe.

Through pain we gain.
Fall to your knees and weep endlessly.
Wounded. Struck down. Pulled under.

To die. Death. Murder. Rape. Rage. Cold blood, draining the lands. Silent demands.
Stone soldiers.

?.hear the drum?..
??..hear it?s hum??.

The enemy has come.
The war - begun.

"Warfare"

Watchout for my warfare, beware
there's war in the Middle east
But here, the war's on the streets
The heart beats cease
When bullets split hearts like meat
War on the streets
Taking lives
homicide and suicide
gang violence
gun fire breaks the silence
War on the streets
Never ending
But always beginning and never seen
They see green
but you see red when they want your bread
Bullet to your head and now you're dead
War on the streets
Living day to day
Don't know when I'll get paid
But that's just...The way it is
Since we were kids...it was hit or miss
Death's kiss taking those who are ignorant
To the street's code
War on the streets
I see blood run red
and the blood shed
From guns and bullets
Adults and kids
Victims and the murderers
My shoulder hurts
From carrying the world
of my neighborhood
Where my friends lay buried in the dirt
Victims of war on the streets

Out of Sight and Mind

Be there ever a time to talk?
When life's meanderings do not stalk?
And silent as the heat of day
Come mem'ries too long left at bay.

Without or away I should not mind;
Though I'd not wish to leave behind,
The love that has me captive lead
Into the wilderness ahead.

Of gazing eyes and dire noise
No life could live in simple poise,
Among such deep depravity
Of taste and touch and all we see.

Give way among such life than norm
Of all things sweet and all things warm,
As loneliness does boundless stretch
Too dark and deep to ever fetch.

What comes when all is lost in sight?
One's heart may not put up a fight
In such the devil does delight,
Fearful longing in the night.

When reaching for the stars above
One needn't do more than belove,
Despite the reaching fingers' pound
And figures drenched in grim surround.

Yet with love itself comes enemy
Toils of light and ebony,
Confusion runs in blood so deep
We must stay strong, one mustn't weep,

To weep would be to throw away,
Every night and lab'rous day
Spent seeking for the out of view,
Nearby there is so few, so few.

Who knows when such things reach an end
And none shall need to recommend,
Solution found and so soon lost
Such things do always steeply cost.

Still even when a lesson learned
One has found themselves returned
To such a place where they began,
When will it end, if e'er it can?

Savannah Days

Sand beneath my feet
The heat surrounds me
in its loving yet stifling embrace as
I tread into the grasses
the stalks brushing my bare ankles
Seeing ghosts of saber-toothed tigers
Walking alongside their unseeing
Lion brethren as they stalk their prey -- it's a herd of zebras grazing
As the evening sun prepares to set
the light turning all things to a
beautiful golden hue
the rays warming me as I
breathe in rich air
and spread my arms to
greet a welcome breeze
Just as my mother's ancestors once did long ago
When they watched the stars
slowly creep out
from their navy black beds
One by one.
I thank the Lord above
for His beautiful creation.

The Windmill

Shall I turn to meet the sun?
I shan't, I shan't,
But the wind will drive me on
As I was made to do.

And I'll turn to save the rain
Though it seems I haven't turned a day,
I do not turn nor feel the spray
As gentle drops ease from the sky.

It seems my time is over
And this land where I do stand
Shall remain so ever dry
The rain it does deny,
Yes, the rain does ever deny me.

The earth is thirsty,
I can feel it how I stand
There is no movement down below.
I stand in hardened surrounds
And no life does dare abound.

Scarce is the crow, I have not seen,
His face eludes me so.
I wonder where he?s gone
And if he?s gone for long.

Do I dare to think I die alone
Out in the burning of the sun?
Or shall I hope the rains will come?
Streaming down upon such earth
Wanting water for life's birth.

Such clouds that pass above me,
Always passing, never staying
I see them drifting now
And I do so wonder how, if ever,
They will stay and bring me rain.

My last language arts assignment for the year is to write five original poems in the classic forms we have learned (elegy, sonnet, ode, etc). This villanelle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Villanelle) is one of my favorites.

Reticence

Of all the many books that I have read
From the half I believe, I now know this:
Some phrases are better left unsaid.

How many characters wound up dead
Over tongues that uttered blasphemy in bliss
In all the many books that I have read?

The wise portray a far more cautious tread
And whisper in the pages, ?Reminisce
That some phrases are better left unsaid.?

So bear in mind who gives you daily bread
And never let your griping go amiss
(Unlike the many books that I have read).

And when she dons a queer hat upon her head
Say, ?It?s lovely, Dear,? and seal with a kiss
For some phrases are better left unsaid.

Let not the blood our epic heroes shed
Be lost in vain; Are we as dense as this?
After all the many books that I have read,
Remember ? some phrases are better left unsaid.

Several Hundred miles Away
One Dream to Hold You in My Arms
Several Hallucinations in My Mind Stay
To Hug You Finally One Day

Reality Starts To Shine
When the Opportunity Finally Comes
We set a Month, Day and Time
To Finally Hug, Kiss and Whisper
"Your Mine"

That Day Has Came That I Forever Dream of.
There You Are, In front of me
My head is spinning in the Clouds Above
You Are In My Arms And One Forever Love.

Several Hundred Miles and Your Here
One Reality That You Are In My Arms
Several Dreams in My Mind Stay
Of Me Crying
You Finally Will Have To Leave One Day.

Forever!

Every time I close my eyes,
I always think about you,
where you been or where you are,
because I still crazy about you,

Every day and night I only wish for one thing,
To be part of you,
because I was to damn crazy about you.
And all I ever wanted is you be with you forever and ever,

One day with you are unforgettable,
because it's what you are,
you're my heart, my soul and my everything,
falling in love with you are always unforgettable.

I know nothing last forever,
But nothing gonna keep you away from me
because we gonna make it last forever
I love you forever from my heart and my soul

I miss you sweetheart :( wish you we're here with me at my side. Because there's no one like you in the universe :(.

READ THIS PLEASE!
Now I warn you, many, many times again and again. This is dark, evil and racist. Don't read it, scroll down, go to another thread. I'm warning you because I'm not out to make others stumble into such a situation they are forced to defend their bothered mind and violated morals. It entitles the darkness of Nationalism in the Third Reich. Nazis. So, you have been warned, please.

Not entirely a poem. A collabortation fo thoughts intended to be a poem.

----------------------------------------

What is a Nazi?

Murder. Darkness.

Yes, so I am. I lace myself in the black uniform, the skull on my cap and collar. My rank exclaimed by four silver dots. Lambskin gloves, and golden mane for hair. Can a lion be a lamb at once?

Yes.

What is a Nazi?

I dream of walking down barb wired paths. The prisoners; the innocent, that which will die for my sins, looking up at my fair face and black uniform. A child, starved, and broken, shuddering at my image, the Angel of Death. I pull from my pocket, and break off a piece of dark chocolate. I slip it over to them, as it rests in the lambskin glove. It looks me first in the eyes, these silver eyes haloed with the deep and sorrowful shadow of my Nazi cap. He adverts to the chocolate and reaches out, grasping it, retracting quickly. He crowds himself in a ball and nibbles at it, pondering why I still stare. I like watching the hopeless cherish so little. So desperate. Yes. Now you know, what it feels like, to dwell on the outskirts of humanity. Kicked in the face, starved and beaten down. The Angel comes to you and hands you comfort. And when he walks away, you realize this fallen Angel, cares for you no more than his own well being.

?How could such men, like him?hurt my people??

How indeed.

There is a chaos inside my soul. It turns me in my sleep. It burns in my eye as the Jew passes me by. I sneer and look at him, looming in my own misery. Why does he walk by me as if life is good? Let me show you what it feels like.

The Nazi suffers his own past. Always desperate to belong, he mounted with those who too sought shelter and purpose. They all hurt, and they all raged. They went after those who had no modes for defense and crushed them. It feels good. There hopeless eyes, your shadow over them. You burst into their homes, as they eat, as they sleep, as they make love. You tear them apart, children from mother?s, sons from fathers. You kill those who catch your eye. Sometimes you look and see this image, and it triggers you past. You are overwhelmed with past hurt, inferiority. They are threat. They must be eliminated.

The terror. The shock. They won?t believe it. Good, they won?t have to. They?ll be gone before they know it. I hate you. You piece of ****.

Weren?t you looking in a mirror just then Rayden?

Yes Klaus, yes I was.

How am I divine? I look it. Certainly if I wore my soul on the outside, I would not.

But you do Rayden.

Yes, the uniform. The Swastika and the TotenKopf. How does darkness and beauty go together? Does it deceive, create desire, birth shame for those that could never look so good? Why does it have to hide so much pain. What does that gain?

Buy you don?t hide it.

They see you in a frenzy. They see you rape and steal, beat and kill. No true man at peace, could ever rage in such manner. They know. They are low, but they definitely know. Desperate to bathe your dry and withered soul in blood. But it absorbs it too quick, ach?we must kill again. The frenzy becomes a tiresome task. Looking at them, begrudged and weary, snarling and shooting them right between the eyes, their brains against the wall and the blood upon your face as the people gasp, cry, shudder and whimper. You sigh and walk away. Another kill, different day. This is Germany? You look up at that banner, the waving flag that use to brew devotion and honor. Now? Just exhaustion, redundant and malicious contempt. Worthlessness. Her blood stained self, tattered, flapping with the smoke and the fire of your city in defeat behind her.

Sieg Heil. What Victory? The only thing I?ll be conquering is my own shame.

You sit there in your home, mounted between the camp you?ve been given. This is your empire. The Lord promised you the Kingdom of Heaven, and Lucifer? All the earth. This is what?s left. There is no hope left for the lost. You or the Jews.

It?s dark and dreary. Muddy and wet. The stench of the bodies, the depression from seclusion. No interaction with anyone on your level. Just the dead and the soon to be. Anger costs you more, and you must sleep twice as you did last week. You eat less, you care even more less. You walk around your camp, jackboots once glossed now weather and muddy. Germany can?t afford shoe polish or new boots. You start to look like them. The only thing romantic is your lack of compassion and your silver eyes. The uniform hangs from you. You ache to walk around in it. Your holster pulls you down closer to the earth, closer to the chasm of Hell.

All you have to do is take me out and put me to your head. Then it will all be better.

You bite your lip, chew on your tongue. Drink your coffee. Yes, that?s all you drink. You?re almost insane with it. You grin and look around wild like, and other soldiers stare at you and ponder their own well being. They see you cracked up, gone, and soon to be sold out. It disturbs them. He was great. Now he?s only great by defeat.

You walk about, growling, glaring, hunched, hands constantly busy to distract yourself. He ran! There goes the Jew. You stare. You pursue. You run, breath burning, clawing out as your holster whips out. You stop, aim and shoot thrice. The last two hit him; back of skull, and back of shoulder. He lunges and falls in a heap. They run for him, and drag him back.

Oh Rayden. Did you forget about me. I love you more than anyone here, even Germany. Even more than coffee. You look at me and you can drink coffee all the time. No one to look at you and then turn away. That?s right. I see everything.

Suddenly you don?t even think. The psychotic laugh, the shaking of the pistol as you load one more round, pull the toggle bolt and hold it to your head. The soldiers look on, silenced by shock as the sound cracks the silence wide open, and the blood flies as his body falls down, down, miles below the ground.

What is a Nazi?

Dead.

Counting Time
by engelvomtoten

A million stars above my head.
A thousand bodies on the road ahead.

A hundred bombs fall from the sky.
But so few soldiers, who know how to die.

"Hidden Away"

When I look into her eyes I see hurt days, the worst days
Hoping to get past her word plays to cure things
Into her heart my soul will seep
And into the dark her whole will speak
In words of a silent fashion
Expressed connection, a covert action
Not to mention, a hidden fraction
Shunned from the light of day, led astray
Looking for a new escape, to cure the pain
Lurking callously, in the darkness
Hidden from those, that are the heartless
Never to be seen again, by a man
Hoping to reach the end, and start amend
