Eh, it was ok. I'm a bit biased 'cause I tend to be a book purist and there are a few visual/story elements that had me gritting my teeth, but on a base level the movie was entertaining.
I'd recommend seeing it at least once at the cinema...for Smaug if for no other reason.

It's like getting somebody else to do the imagining for you :p Then you only have to look at what they've imagined, instead of trying to picture it yourself ;)

This is why I enjoy reading animal novels, they're not so easily adapted into movies :lol: although if they did, they'd have to be animated, and with a lot of tweaks to turn it into a children's movie xP
