According to this statement at Wikipedia The soundtrack had managed to ship over 10 million copies in the U.S. and eventually went 10x Platinum (diamond record) in 1995.

That was back in 1995. It's been diamond for a while. :) Pretty cool accomplishment, especially for a movie soundtrack. :)

Yeah.. Only two albums reach diamond in this 21 century(that I notice): The Love Below/Speakerboxx and The Marshall Mathers LP.
I think another diamond soundtrack is Bodyguard Soundtrack.
