If this has been done before/recently then stop me now. But I figured since we seem to be getting a lot of new members lately it might be cool to share our general age group. No need to post your specific age unless you want to, I'm just curious. :3 As for me, I am 26. D: Too old for TLK? I think not. x3

The poll results make me think that perhaps there should have been options for 21-25, 26-30, 31-35 and 36-40  Especially given how old the movie is. Still, we've obviously all grown up with it :p

Lol, Audra, don't worry about that, I've been feeling much older then I really am for the past 10 years already

I was thinking that too! While I was making the poll I tried to increase the options, but I had already made the body of the thread so it wouldn't let me. :(

I'm 23, which now makes me feel like I'm one of the younger members on here, haha  I remember when I saw a birthday thread years ago for someone who had just turned 23 and I thought "Woha, they're, like, an adult!"... xD

I joined Lea properly when I was... 17 perhaps? And I've been hanging around TLKFAA for the last... 10½ years... xP

Omg, Dare. I probably asked you this before but my memory is terrible, are any of these towns familiar? I would both crap a brick AND have kittens if we were ever classmates at some point. Edison, Woodbridge, Sayreville, Old Bridge....?

And how about that very serious pudding? :|

Heheh, it really can be a small world, huh?
I am familiar with all of those towns and even have some family in Old Bridge. I'm a transplant from NY though, and all of my schoolin' was done there. ^__^

21! I remember joining Lea in 2005 when I was 12 years old.. and I was the baby of the site. I've come and gone a few times, but I've never really left.
Truth be told I've known most of you longer than anyone I know in real life. This forum means a lot to me, despite how inactive I may be.

I think there was also a difference with you, as your mom kept her eye on things.
Where other parents would have no clue whatsoever what their 12-year old is doing on the internet.

I'm 30 years old, but I feel quite old at the moment. I remember when I first joined the TLK Fandom (I must have been around 17 years old...) and I met someone who was almost 30 years old. I was like :"Geee he is old...!" and now I'm one of those "old fans" myself. Ah well... those were the days XD
I'm so glad we don't have something like COPPA in Germany. That would be really troublesome...

^ haha my mum.. came home earlier walking down the driveway she had loud music going, was told it was SlipKnot (she likes the druming), then went into Josh Groban and then some band called Buckcherry. Walked inside she was drinking a huge raspberry/coke slurpie, sort of moving to the music while making the xmas cake.

I didn't have anything submitted that was signed by my mom or anything, but I did show both my parents the site and they approved. This was back in 2005 though so it might've been before anything official was to have been done.. oops. Sorry guys!

You're right, my mom really had no idea what I was doing on the internet... Not her fault, she tried, I was just a sneaky as hell kid. Luckily I was internet savvy enough not to get into any real trouble.

I swear, everyone else is so bothered with the fact someone is turning 30, apart from the person turning 30 themselves, haha!

When I turned 30, everyone was like "aww ... 30 ... how sad". Yeah? And? Who cares?

33 soon, I still don't care, lolz.

Does anybody get told they look younger than their years? I'm 26 now and just yesterday someone told me I only look 18. Should I take that as a compliment? Maaaaybe. :thinks: Then again everyone in my family look younger than they actually are. I always get asked for proof of age when buying age restricted products too. A while back I got asked for proof of age when buying The Hobbit on DVD (which is a 12). Now I don't think I look that young. Do I? I drive a car for god sake. :p

Ah well, when I turn 50 and still look 30 I'll be happy then. :D

An old lady started talking to me and asked me where I was off to on this sunny day.
I say to work, and she replied with I looked to young to work, haha

I've long thought that I look older than I really am, but a few months ago a salesperson in town asked how old I was as I was passing and I said I was 25, and he went "...Oh! I thought you were younger." But maybe he was just being polite :p

I am feeling kind of old these days, but that might have more to do with the majority of my friends around here being 2-4 years younger than me... I'm nearly always the oldest in the group

I used to be the young one in groups, when I was in high school and college (when I went straight out of high school). That's because I was one of, if not the youngest, in my class ever since I started school. (I probably should have started school a year later, tbh.) And when I went to college and started working, I hung out with my older coworkers on occasion, even went to a bar with live music a couple of times even though I was only 19 and the drinking age here is 21

Ever since I joined Lea, though, I've been one of the older ones (thanks guys :p) and I would say 90% of my friends are younger than me. At least anytime anyone's ever guessed my age I usually pass as still being in my 20s :D
