I could've sworn I saw a thread for music videos somewhere around here... O.o... If there is one and I totally overlooked it, then please forgive me. :hehe:

Anyhow, I was just wanting to share my TLK music videos with you all. I made them with Movie Maker on my computer and I think they turned out quite nice (though I'm not FULLY satisfied with every bit of them). But check 'em out here (http://www.tembaspride.com/) and look under the video archive. I have four videos.

Enjoy! I'm also open to any comments. :fini:

I posted about 4 on TLKMVA a bit back. I also have a couple more available for view over at my TLKFAA (http://fanart.lionking.org/Artists/King_Simba). Those are the particular older ones so they aren't as good in quality as the more recent ones. ;)

Those are great Eva! :browlift:

I actually made a Lion King music video a couple of years ago for my video production class. When it converted though, the audio got lost and the frames got all weird with the timing.
:woeisme:

Anyway, it's here (http://www.leahalalela.com/misc/The%20Lion%20King%20Music%20Video%20-%20Enigma%20-%20Gravity%20of%20Love.mpg) for those who are curious to see it. It IS 42MB, though.

I'll take a look at your's tomorrow, Eva. After seeing those pics you drew for me, I have high hopes for animationd from you. :browlift:

Sarabi, your's was absolutly gourgous. You added some very original ideas, such as pics of real animals, and floating text. I have not seen that kind of stuff implemented in other animations yet. You got somthing very special.

BTW, welcome back! I'm pleased to finally meet the queen of the pride. You last posted days beofre I joined.

I noticed the Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron song in one of your video's Eva :browlift: Very good choice ;)

Sarabi, your movie was really good aswell, especially the beginning. And every other movie makes me so emotional, i feel like crying of joy every time i see lion king with such an beautiful song in it x) :) My thumbs are up for you guys, all 11 of them ;)

Wow Eva your music videos are really good!

Scar?s Song is pretty cool? Perfect song for him. ;)

Your Downcast King video is really cool, I like the part where is flashes on when Scar digs his claws into Mufasa?s paws, then to where it shows Mufasa?s terrified face, and then to where Mufasa is thrown off the cliff. It was just so well done.

And I totally LOVE the Lion Dance music video! So AWESOME! It?s my favorite out of all your videos! :D

The Simba and Nala video was nice? But that song just didn?t seem to fit for me, in TLK universe. (Don?t get me wrong, I like that song, I have the Spirit soundtrack and I think the movie is really beautiful. Just the song makes me automatically think of Spirit and doesn?t feel like it fits for TLK. (For me) Even if the lyrics do)

That's great Sarabi! I like how you have videos of real animals too. But hey you know what? I saw a TLK music video with the same song done by the artist Alex Cole: http://fanart.lionking.org/Artists/Alex_Cole/GravityOfLove2.WMV I recommend that you all watch it. :cheese: I love that song! Goes good with TLK music videos. :p

STM, you know I like your music video and it was so long ago when I first saw the first half of it. ;) The only thing that I think needs to be changed is the part where you have it zoomed up on Kovu's face and you go back and forth on the clip. It just seems to last too long. But I know you just wanted to finish it so you didn't have to use that old computer anymore. But I really like the slow motion ending, you really focus on Kovu and Zira?s expression that way.

Yeah I agree I did some mistakes on that, but it was just hard to make it work on that computer sinse I can't even see what is happening on clips that have flipped around.

I really enjoyed that TL, nicely done. Very cool choice of music, I think it works well with what you're showing. I think the best part of the video is when Scar starts pacing around Simba and accusing him of murdering mufasa, it works really well with the change in the music, from then until the lightening strike is just quite powerful and very well timed. Good work on this. :)

Wow, awesome videos everyone! ^^

I have a question for all the movie makers here. My computer is old...and very anal/crappy/annoying and refuses to work windows' default movie maker. Would anyone recommend a better program? I'm in the midst of making a Grey's Anatomy fanvid for Denny....and Izzie. And WMM won't allow me to add more than seven 1.30 second clips...it just closes out without warning. I've never had the problem before--but I usually don't use this computer for movie making..it just happens to be the only one running currently. Please and danke to anyone that helps me out, I'd really appreciate it.

Does anyone know where I can get some TLK clips to make a fan-vid with....?

Sadiki
March 9th, 2007, 12:16 AM
if you have DVD player on your computer your just need something like DVD2AVI or something else you want to use ( that is what I use to rip my clips from DVD's )

before that you need a program to rip the DVD on your computer thought.. I used SmartRipper. both those programs at least used to be free.. I don't know if they still are but you can try to go on google and search them.

the folders tend to get rather big.. like 4 Gb per movie you use.. and clips and videos get quite huge sinse the DVD quality but you can always try to narrow the size down by makeing the quality crapier when render it.

yeah it seems like it has been removed from their site, but you can still find it by using google. I found it from more than 5 links, yet I can't really give them for you sinse the program isn't exactly legal anymore even thought it has always been free...

I hope you can find it, because without DVD ripping program you only have clips you can find from internet.

wow, 6 hours, it would of take probably around 10 mins - an hour to rip it off from DVD, thought makeing it mp3 or something else like that would of probably take a few hours ;)

Yeah, I've tried that a few times, and once I ended up downloading something that sounded like an audio recording from the TLK storybook or something. x_x

It's probably a better idea to rip them from a DVD like STM said. I used a DVD ripper to rip SP to my hardrive and it took around 50 mins to an hour to rip it fully. The quality of the video itself is very good too, so if you haven't found any decent DVD ripping software yet, then I'd recommend Magic DVD Ripper (http://www.magicdvdripper.com/). =)
