A new game :D! Let's see if this one catches any fire.
The point of the game is this:
Person A asks a question. The question can be virtually anything, as long as it fills the following conditions:
1. Person A must already know the answer. (This way we can check the answers.)
2. The answer must be able to be found on the internet with simple browsing. It is recommended that if person A is unsure whether or not their question meets this second condition, they are to check and try to find it themselves before asking it. (So no hacking involved, just browsing.)

Person B finds the answer to said question and posts it. Person B may or may not post the source they used to find the answer, depending on their own judgement on whether it is interesting information or not. Then person B asks a new question.

If, after the game has been going on for while, person A comes and sees that the answer person B gave was wrong, they can say so and post the correct answer with sources. But in a such a "correction post", the person posting must not answer any other questions or ask a new question. This will keep the flow of the game steady, and we don't end up having 2 questions at the same time.

Using search engines such as Google is allowed. If someone wants the game to be more challenging than just a simple Google search, it is up to the person asking the question to present such a question that is a bit more tricky to find an answer to.

And remember to act wisely and use common internet-sense! If in your search you wander into suspicious sites with suspicious links, you are probably better off not clicking them. Only you are responsible for any viruses you catch! Finding the answer is not worth destroying your computer.

I will start with a fairly simple one:

What was the currency of Finland before the euro, when did it change, and how much was it worth compared to the euro?

Shouldn't this be called Wiki detective..?

Finland had the Markka until 28th February 2002, when it ceased to be legal currency. 1 Euro equally nearly 6 (5.9) Markkas when they changed over.

(Great idea for a thread by the way!)

One from my area of expertise, the British indie band 'Doves' once had a brush with the UK charts under a different guise. What was their name back then? Also, what was their biggest hit and where did it reach in the UK charts?

:D

Their name was Sub Sub, and their hit was Ain't no love (Ain't no use) which reached #3 in the UK Singles chart.

Not everything can be found on Wikipedia ;)..

Who is Chester A. Bum, and what is his catchphrase (he actually has 2 famous quotes, either one of which will do. Or both)?
