^ The highlight of this current week? Well it hasn't happened yet but on Saturday Petteri and I will be driving up north to Portland for Petteri's biometrics for his green card. (That just means taking his photo, fingerprints and signature to make his new green card) But we made a little trip out of it for a few days it so I am looking forward to that. We will be going to the Oregon Coast Aquarium which is rated one of the 10 best aquariums in the country, and we will be going to the Multnomah Falls Lodge for dinner and go hiking on some of their trails that day. The photos look really beautiful there, their waterfalls look amazing. :)

< Just resting before work, kind of glad I don't start work today until 12:00 pm and I only work 5 hours. I feel so sore today.

v Any trip or vacation you are looking forward to in the near future? Even if it's just a short weekend trip. :) If so, where are you going?

^ Yes! A few of them, even. On the 14th of July me and Adam are travelling back to the UK together and I will stay over for about a month, so that's a trip I look forward to. Then while I'm there we'll be going to Birmingham to see The Lion King on Broadway! =D Can't wait!

< So relieved that the bus strike in my area is resolved. It'll really make things easier for me and my brother when we go to the music festival tomorrow!

^ I've been to Warped Tour twice. Very fun! The second time was torture though, it was over 110 degrees :p I'm not sure if I'd ever go to that one again, I've kind of grown out of that type of music, but I'd love to go to another festival again some day.

< I'm leaving for Texas on Thursday! :gasp: I'm very excited but also pretty nervous. Not only will I be meeting internet people for the first time, but I've kind of been harboring a secret crush on one of them :woe:

^ Strawberry. Our grocery store makes the best strawberry ice cream with local strawberries once a year. It usually comes out around April when the strawberry festival starts. It's so so good.

< It is super flipping hot here today. It's 107º right now. That wasn't supposed to happen until tomorrow. Though a "cool front" is coming in later this week, and we'll be back in the 90s. It's still way cooler than it usually is this time of year.

^ Sit outside in the heat relaxing for as long & as often as possible. Usually reading, sometimes drawing, and occassionally in direct sun, though you'd never know it to look at me, I don't cross the door without my SPF on. I love the heat in my muscles, I get neck spasms & shoulder issues and it's like the best physical therapy on earth. I might draw the line at 107 degrees should that ever happen here, (especially because NJ usually has miserable humidity along with the summer heat & I do live right near a tidal marsh/swamp,) but for the most part I think I'm solar- or at least summer- powered and my favorite thing is to just sit back, be lazy & soak it in. Hate being inside in the summer.

< Got my tent out, now I just have to re-waterproof the rain fly & it's good to go, if it would ever stop rainning long enough to do that.

I hate doing dishes, but also hate having a sink full of dirty dishes, so while I don't enjoy doing them, I do enjoy the end result :)

< In so much pain right now, wisdom teeth got pulled yesterday and the pain is really something special. Really hungry too since I can't eat much at a time or anything solid. I just want to sink my teeth into a burger or something, lol.

^ For the record, doing paperwork is my least favourite thing, possibly ever. The most complicated is probably either the yearly tax return, although it's much easier now that it's online and most of it you can pre-fill. So probably anything for centerlink (welfare) payments, they were the worst.

Haha, that's like the day I came home from work a couple years ago--not even actively fanning at that point now mind you, I was on "family leave" from the fandom at the time--and completely out of the blue as soon as I walk in, my mother meets me in the hallway and states: "Simba's mother's name is Sarabi."

....

What??

She had gotten a notice in the mail of potentially qualifying for a class-action law suit, "(So&so) vs. Sarabi, et al." My mom didn't know what products it related to, so she went online to get more information and check out if the suit really applied to her.

Lo & behold, page upon page of Lion King fansites, as far as her search could see!

Was a very, very strange moment. And my mother forever knows Simba's mom's name now xD

First the blackbird came and emptied half the water while taking a bath :lol: Then the new holland honeyeaters came and bickered over it and had something to drink, now the wattlebirds are having a go.

^ yes. I like where I work.

^ :lol: I have a few... sales assistant at a shoe shop, sales assistant for Nutshack, I play different Disney princess's for a childrens party company, I get paid to sing a some markets each friday night, and I have a gig at local surfclub once a month.

^ yes I do but haven't been to too many. Love the Adelaide museum though because last year they did up their bird and native animal exhibit and it's just amazing now, really beautiful :)

< Trying to decide if I should ask for 10 extra hours/week at my current job, or get a second job. If I get extra hours where I work now, it won't be for my current role, it will have to be something different, and I'm just not sure I want more hours where I am now. But having two separate jobs seems like a major hassle.

V Have you had two jobs at once before?

^ YESSSS.. I have 3-4 jobs, sometimes one overlaps the other and it's stress time, and then like these last 2 weeks my hours are reduced with 2 of them to only 9 hours work this week, cause it's quiet, and then have to wait to see if anyone books a princess party. Lucky I live at home and mum helps support me. <3 mamma bear

^ Summer? Oh I don't know why, but I've always loved the idea of summer... :p My winter has been pretty uneventful. Busy with work, busy sorting out this silly stuff with my rental place being sold and finding a new place to live, and busy watching it be bad weather when I've had days off so I can't go birding, haha. But best thing about it... I'm unsure. Possibly finding a new, awesome place to live where Bandit can be a house bunny :)

v What are two of your favourite things to do on a winter's day?

^Oooh, magical powers... lets see, nothing too elaborate I wouldn't think. Maybe the ability to magically generate objects/food that I needed/wanted... but nothing too excessive like cars/money, it would be smaller things. Otherwise, maybe healing/bringing back to life animals, or the ability to connect or speak with them. So many options :D

< I was supposed to spend all of this afternoon tidying up my place for an open inspection tomorrow, but I've had a killer headache all day that makes me get nausea when I move around, so now I'm so behind with everything :(

^ Well I dont have such a thing as favorite book,I like too many.I have however read "The horse and his boy"from the Narnia series many
many times.It was the first narnia book I read as a kid and I absolutely loved the idea of talking animals.And it was full of adventure:)

^ Considering the dilemma you're facing, I wouldn't be so sure myself either of what to do, but I guess it's all about taking your time to analize both options, taking very well in mind the pros and cons (I'd say that especially the cons) to make your decision. Maybe if it's possible taking one decision without entirely abandoning the other?

< Wow, it seems that I'll have to do a PowerPoint presentation of my clinical case and present it in front of many doctors as my thesis on September 12. Basically, I have to convince them that the treatment I'm researching is the right way to go. I know it's in less than 3 weeks, but one can't be too calm about this. I'll be nervous, very nervous :eww:

^ Yes, I've already started to buy a couple of things. I'm early this year :D

< Has some problems with a broken hard disk drive. But, thank God, I was able to recover my files.

^ mums pc the hard drive , something wrong. we will have to pay for the computer shop to come look :(

V did you have birthday cakes when growing up, if you did, what was your favourite one ?

^ Oh yes, There had always been cake in my childhood birthdays. Some of them had double themes, since I share a birthday with my twin brother. There was a TLK one with Simba's face on it, which I loved, but I think my favourite was a dinosaur themed one for my... 4th or 5th birthday, I think. It had toy dinosaurs over a prehistoric lanscape, it even had a carved river, and a volcano! It was awesome xD

V do you ever feel startled that someone close to you (more than 3 people) just move on into the next world less than a year?

^Not sure what the question means exactly...if you are talking about death then I mean I guess if it is sudden and unexpected. Death in and of itself though I feel is just a natural part of being alive so I don't know if I would say I'm bothered by the idea of it. I also find comfort in what I believe so it makes it easier to deal with I think. If you're talking about friends/family moving on with life as in like moving away then I suppose that, as before, if it is unexpected then yeah that would be unsettling. Whatever you meant it sounds like you've had a rough time and I hope things get better for you. *hugs*

<Is dying from how hot it is in her apartment. I mean, I'm grateful as I hate being cold but....I'm sweating and my candy is melting. xD I wish I could adjust the thermostat. *sigh* Ah well. The cost of living in a cheap old apartment I suppose.

^ Given that Christmas has passed, I think it's safe to say yes :lol: I did get all my presents on time, then again. Didn't buy for anyone except Pat this year because we didn't have the money.

< Just came back from seeing The Good Dinosaur, legs are somehow still sore from work even after sitting in a theater for almost 2 hours!

^ Getting to see one of my best friends. For a while it didn't look like it was going to happen, but we managed some hang out time right before I left.

^ I wouldn't really say I made any resolutions, however I do have some pretty big goals/ideas that I would really like to see take shape, I'm not sure it will happen this year, might not be till 2017 but I can at least work towards them :) Vague I know :lol:

^ I think...Onward? I watched that movie a few weeks ago and though I didn't care much about it (from what I had seen from the trailers), I really, really enjoyed it. I keep thinking about it a lot.
"The wind rises" is a close second though. There were countless powerful scenes in that movie. But...it kind of broke my heart.:emo:
