Well, I ain't too good at drawing canines to be honest. I've had more practice on felines but I guess I could try although it will take some time. =)

To others though--try to keep your requests to be simple. In other words, so it doesn't include me having to draw--else it'd take a while and in some cases, I'd probably not get it finished.

Those are great KS. :D I wish I had an animation program...and had the time to use it. Even being on winter break, I have no time nowadays.

Got any icon tips you could give me? I am still fairly new to photoshop and am not familiar with some of the effects.

Well I'll be pretty much brief for now seeing as I'm tired out and all but here's a few of the effects I use on each of my icons. =)

1) The "pattern overlay" option from the "layer style" menu. I usually use the "gauze" effect on top of certain layers I include. If you look on the animated Malfoy icon, you can see the texture in the background. I just lowered the opacity.

2) The "gradient overlay" option again from the "layer style" menu. Again, I lower the opacity so it doesn't come out quite as bright as I want it to. It gives it a pretty nice effect I think which is why I use it.

3) And I use the burn/dodge tools to highlight certain parts of the icon. You should be able to see which parts are brighter than the rest. =)

I did some research earlier today and came across these tutorials whilst looking for Draco/HP icons and avatars. Hopefully these should come in handy for you too.

Haha Sombi, that icon is actually pretty good. I like it because of it's simplicity--simplicity is the way to go in some cases.

I use the eraser tool on each layer to delete the unwanted parts. The specific brush (on the eraser) to get that effect though is the airbrush tool. Alternatively, you can select a layer > Layer > Add Layer Mask and then use the gradient tool to create the effect.

I use Adobe Photoshop btw.

I'd suggest you'd registere at www.photobucket.com it doesn't resize anything unless it's bigger then 512 kb.
