I really loved visiting Tower of London; there is just so much there that still feels genuine, if you see what I mean. It's nothing like the commercialised Warwick Castle where I used to work for example, hehe.

Haha, yeah my hair is pretty stinkin' ridiculous. Living in Texas humidity does it no favors, let me tell you. I look like a frizzy rat's nest most of the time despite efforts to keep it brushed and in order. I should probably give in and put product in it but...I am cheap and lazy. xD The only other TLKer I've ever seen with curlier hair is GES, if you remember who that is. Hers was suuuuper kinky curly though....and yeah, finally seeing Gerf is still a shock to me!! xD

Yeah, more or less that's why. My brain just connected those dots autoatically and I assumed Mufasa=someone username=that person is probably male. Clearly I was wrong! xD It's hard to convey any sort of gender over the internet when you have no tonal inflection or physical features to identify with, so I am pretty much stuck with whatever impression the username/avatar gives me. (Except in Leor's case, apparently, where I am just confused for a while. ;) )

Yeah, my hair is just "on my head" lol, but if it's not lying down right, I don't feel good eather, haha.

And I don't like my new smile, as I have "Tom Cruise front teeth" now because of these dentures (look him up when smiling, you'll see what I mean).

It looks like a Facilier hat, but if it is, it's a guest dressed as him (as we did see some great ones), but it wasn't the "real one" don't recall him being out that evening.

I do have a picture with him, but from the day before, villains would appear behind the castle a little after noon during Halloween season.

If you just go and look at the shows and party along with the DJ set then yeah, it's awesome.

Trying to get pictures with characters is total chaos, and I had a minor panic attack and cried when we were out of the crowds, I was so overwhelmed.

I also felt I didn't get any attention at all, like with Gaston ... the more you screamed out his name, the more attention he would give you, pick you up, act silly and stuff, I saw it happen with 10 girls before me, and when it was finally my turn (he saw me each time, but kept picking someone else), I was like: right, I'll just grab my chance and stand next to him, no matter what!
He wasn't crazy or anything at all with me.

He took so much time with all the ones before me, and with me, he was "laughing" with the fact, it took so long to take a picture.
"how long can it take for 1 picture, I don't have all night"

I shouldn't take it personal, but I guess I do a little, because he was much more fun with all the people that took pics with him before me.

Other then that, dropping 20 characters on a 200 x 200 meters courtyard: not a good idea!

I thought I would post these here, as I'm sure The Producers of The Voice won't be on this site, seeing I am still in a confidentiality agreement until April and nothing allowed to be said/shown on public media etc.
Couple of weeks ago I made it thru to the 4th round of The Voice and was flowen to Sydney for the Blind auditions in front of the judges. Didn't get chosen but got to 160 out of 6000. And got to have hugs with Joel Madden, Ricky martin, Wil.i.am and an air kiss from Kylie Minogue. I still might be shown on tv as part of the audition process, who knows. Alot of us came to the conclusion that the show is about 60% rigged with stuff that happened, a real eye opener it was. Only got these pics as we had to hand over phones, cameras and anything else, but mum snuck a couple with her camera she hid in her bag lol.

The producers know who they want to go thru and the 'judges' have ear pieces, and we are pretty sure they have heard/seen you from your 3rd round audition tapes. We were all given numbers and you were in groups that they went thru one by one, but half way thru the day ( We had to be there at 9.30 am and I didn't get on till 10pm) when the judges spots were filling up fast, the producers bypassed our numbers and chose who they wanted to go through etc. And there was people there that were 'friends/relatives' of 'famous people' who got selected fast as well.

All the contestants had an interview alone the week before after sound check etc, and of course 2nd question in with cameras rolling, they started asking about dad, which ended up with me in tears, good tv viewing it seems. And then on the day we had to have an interview with me and mum with cameras rolling. The producer started with mum and asked a few before she stared in about dad, got to the point mum had a tear rolling down her cheek she looked at me and I did as well and the camera zoomed in for a close up, where they ended and the producer went ' raw emotion, the viewers like that'. Mum just said and 'yes that's all you're going to get' and we moved away, didn't care what they said.
It was a great experience not sure if I want to do it again though,

I guess we all know programs like these are controlled in some way, but how stupid is that, they pick the song for you, and then "on the air" they tell you why on earth you picked it? haha
We have our own version (2 actually, because of the languages over here) and I never watch it, on occasion when zapping through channels when I'm watching something and the commercial break is on.

Where you aware they'd ask about your dad/they aware of the situation? If they were, how bloody rude of them to go that far!

When you entered, you had to give them a complete list of all the songs you sang, and then if you made it to the first audition, you had to choose 4 diff songs, different tempos etc. I chose my version of 'Do Ya think I'm sexy' by Rod Stewart, Valerie - Amy Winehouse, Songbird - Eva Cassidy, You Belong With Me - Taylor Swift. Had to perform half of each song in front of a panel of Voice producers, record producer and voice coaches. The Record producer got me to sing over Valerie and Songbird, and then after a discussion they chose Valerie I had to sing, and then he wanted to hear my version of the Rod Stewart song again, but stuck with Valerie.

You had to fill out this 5-6 page long questionaire and wanted to know about any family 'tragedies' and stuff. Think the 2nd audition you had to have interviews with different ones and they bought up about dad and even asked if mum had a new bf and was there anyone else living with me and mum. So we knew that it was going to be bought up with cameras on me, but you didn't know what they would ask though.

The things they asked me at my soundcheck interview was all about how I feel dad wasn't there and how we shared music stuff etc and then with mum and me some of the questions for her were like.
- How do you feel that kaitlyn's dad isn't here to share this with you, that you're here by yourself supporting her.
- If he was here now how proud do you think he would be of kaitlyn.
- What do you8 think he would say if he could see Kaitlyn here now competing on this show.

Think the one that made mum start to cry followed by me was 'I know you and Kaitlyn are alone without kerry, how do you feel with him not being here with you two today?'

So yeah they get you with how they ask things, you know it's coming but still hurts.

Teryl Rothery (she plays Dr Frasier) was in Belgium 3 years ago aswell, but didn't get to see her while we were there (she was probably doing the photo shoot or Q&A at that moment).

Apperently the actor who played General Hammond has been here a few years ago too (not so long before he died), but I had never heard of this convention at the time. I've only been my first time in 2009. And been going every year now.
Though the past 2 years I said I wasn't, but since Michael was coming last year, my all time crush :lol:

Here are a few from my trip to Denver, that have been processed off my phone. (Some others yet to come.)

It was hard to get these. We were up around 13 - 14,000 ft (3.900 - 4.200 meters) elevation, with a wind sheer of -20F (-29C)..and it was sooooo sunny.
These photos were taken in Estes Park, Denver, Colorado.

I was not able to find a sticker that said "This car climbed the Rocky Mountains!" ...but I didn't look much when we came down.

Yes, we all stay close and connected, especially with the immediate family coming from my grandfather on my mom's side. I have pretty much have 13 uncles and Aunties. But sadly the Patriarch of my family, the eldest uncle passed away 5 days before Eid ul Fitr or Monday last week, so it's pretty much an "empty" celebration without him for the first time. :zazusad:

Leo: Yes, that trip was actually pretty cool. It was probably the most fun way to learn one of the more boring concepts in geology :p (stratigraphy, which I actually will have to take a whole darn class on later :headache: ).

Safila: I didn't really have to climb over any rocks there, but I am pretty good at scrambling up steep and rocky hillsides :p
