Both from a cool new store in the city that I'd never been in before, the first is a hardcover notebook with pictures of cats on the front that says "why i like cats more than people" and the second is a wood block calendar with a bunny on it. - Stitch pin in front of the Brussels Atomium (I don't collect Stitch pins, but since he was in Belgium, lol)
- Zazu pin
- 4 Donald Duck comic book pockets
- 1 Donald DUck comic mini pocket
- the entire 1994 Donald Duck weekly comic book series

Yes, I love the Donald Duck comic books, haha.

Yup, but it was pretty risky. Many of them has air bubbles under LCD screen.
It took me some time to find not-damaged and cheap model of this tablet. They are priced (used, on "Allegro" - polish eBay-like site) from ~$130 up to ~$290.
Mine arrived in a really good condition... well, almost - RAM memory was broken (I was getting memory-releated BSOD's). I sent it back to the seller and now, after they replaced the memory it works just fine. :3

The last thing I pucharsed is a bottle of Coca Cola. :3

Awesome :p My dad used to subscribe to it when he was little and then when I was old enough to read them I pretty much got one subscription for Christmas every year until maybe 5 - 6 years ago? I have a whole cupboard stacked full of Donald Duck magazines  I'm not subscribed to the magazine itself any more, because towards the end I felt the quality of the comics was going down quite a lot, but I'm buying this "Donald Duck Extra" magazine now that comes out every other month. It always has a full-length Don Rosa story in it!! :D (I looove his comics, haha!)

And the last things I bought were a Christmas present for Adam and one for one of my brothers C:

Agreed. The weekly magazine isn't what it was anymore. Some weeks there are more stories from other characters in it then from Donald.

I love the pockets! They have about 200 pages, and well, its pocket size, lol, fits nicely in my bag.

A 1.8m Christmas Tree

A giant box of bauballs and a star
A pack of 10 mini stockings to hang on the tree
4 gift boxes
Tissue paper
Cellophane
Assorted chocolate and lollies from the chocolate shop
A 24 carton of pepsi cans

I don't have money for nice gifts for my family this year so they're getting the boxes dressed up with the chocolates etc. And I bought a tree because I literally have nothing Christmassy in this house and I needed something... and it was sooo cheap. Crappy quality, but what can you do. I will just have to learn to like it.

An emergancy charger?

I have one of those for 4 years already, lol.
It holds 2 AA batteries. I think it's broke though, it won't charge my smartphone anymore, eather the connection that goes into the phone is broke, or the little piece of cable is broke.
The charger itself still works, because it also has a flashlight on it, and that works, lol.

Ooo, I gotta SHOW you guys this flashlight/charger contraption I got for Christmas! It's about the coolest camping device I have ever owned, lol.

It's a flashlight, powered by either battery, wall charging, or hand-crank charging, so you can rev it up without outside power; a large flashlight light, a smaller stand light; emergency flasher and siren; phone charger port; DC 12volt port and headphones port; and an AM/FM/Weather Bureau radio :D

It's such a fun gadget, I think it's my favorite gift from this year.

I accidentally bought two new pieces of clothing  It was bad of me. I was going to JB Hi-Fi music/movie/electronics store to try to buy the new How to Train Your Dragon soundtrack, and walking back to my car I walked past the doors of a camping/outdoor store which was plastered with signs saying "winter sale" etc etc. So even though I purposefully walked past the store before, I just had to check it out now, because they have good clothes, just usually overpriced (like most clothing). I bought two zip up jackets/jumpers. Both were half price, one is a blue and pink plaid zip up hoody, the other is a fleece type zip-up that is super cosy. I do need new clothes and I rarely buy any, but they weren't really the type of new clothes I needed. Too late now :p On the plus side, they will definitely get tonnes of use, so it's definitely not wasted money.

I would love see a picture of that.

This is the one.

The DVD is just the regular 1-disc version from 2011.
Only thing different is the *front* of the slipcover. The back of the cover is the same as the DVD.

France has quite a few in the series. UK has them too, but most covers are more green-ish, and Lion King isn't in the UK series.

Since I'm hopefully graduating from Uni in a few months I won't be allowed to stay in student housing any more soon, so I've been on the hunt for a new place for a while now. Dunkin has only one store in Brazil, located in Brasilia, which I was there last weekend. How there is only one store in entire country, a lot of people go there, I spent one hour in a kilometric line of people to make my order.

Alright! xD Majora's Mask is my personal favourite, so I say that was a great choice. It's a direct sequel to Ocarina of Time, though, and it's not exactly a Zelda game at its core (princess Zelda is barely mentioned at all). But it works well as a separate story, and you don't need to know much about OoT to enjoy it.
Still I'd recommend playing OoT as well, it's still considered one of the best by many x3

Wow... I didn't know you have to renew your teaching certificate where you life. So what exactly is this certificate; is it a kind of "teaching license"?
I'm glad I don't have to do that. You have to study hard and pass many exams here to become a teacher, but when you finally are, you don't have to renew your license. Of course, there are "evaluations", but right now I don't have to worry about them.

@Guntur: Quite a lot! I had to save my money this year, because I've stayed at home and cared for my daugther. But I'll start working again in September and then I hope I'll have some money to spend, too ;)

The last thing I bought was a tiny shelf for my kitchen. Now I finally have a place where I can put my spices. Oh and I've bought some neat things for making cakes. Can't wait for my daugther's birthday in August. She'll get a lovely birthday cake ^^

HasiraKali
July 24th, 2015, 08:28 PM
You have to renew it every five years. I had to take a bunch of classes and pass a few exams before I got it. Then, you have to do a certain amount of professional learning classes each year, with a total of 150 before your certificate expires. It's kind of a pain, and of course they charge you for it, despite not paying you well in the first place. I have it a little better than most because I have a Master's and I get a science incentive, but still.

So sorry to hear that it's a hassle to renew it, with those learning classes. :alone:

Renew a teacher certificate? This is a bit strange because , once you got your teacher degree , you always will be a teacher... If it were a license, it would be ok, but doesn't look like right calling it "certificate", as you can't remove someone degree...

Anyway, The last thing I bought was some points of the fidelity program of a Brazilian airliner ( well, those programs started as fidelity program as you only got points if you flew on it, today it became a very commercial thing, usually paying your plane ticket with points is usually cheaper than buying with money)

The degree is completely separate from the certificate. I have a Bachelor's degree in biology and a Master's degree in science education. Because of those two degrees, I was able to complete a certificate which was the education classes and the content exams. The certificate is basically a license, but it's not called that.

Last big purchase I did was this X-Ray machine. It costed quite a fortune :eww: but I really needed this in my office. Before this, I had to refer patients to another clinic to have an x-ray taken. Not anymore! This should help me work much more efficiently now

That's an odd one? Lol

I only know the one where you stand still and this thing turns around your head.

Or that tiny little thing they can place right next to the tooth inside your mouth.

Ah yes, that one you mention is a Panoramic X-Ray machine, it takes a radiograph of the whole mouth. But mine is a different kind, it's a Periapical X-Ray, which focus on very specific areas and so it takes radiographs with better definition.

So yeap, you point that little cylinder right at the tooth you need an x-ray for ^^ it just suits my needs much better

Much better indeed then that entire face thing, that's annoying, lol.

At one of my previous visits, the dentist had this little square thing, like 1,5 cm x 1,5 cm, and could be placed inside your mouth.
Obviously, even *that* didn't work for me, lol.

Ah, I see xD those squares must be the films for the Periapical x-ray, those are the ones I use, hehe.
My patients usually don't mind them, they're really easy to use, but yeah, I get that some people can't stand them. Even my mom hates them

Well, I was having a panic attack in the chair, even due to being so stressed out, couldn't get my upper dentures out to take a full head picture, so she tried it with that square thing, and even that didn't work to keep it to stay where it should in my mouth.

So nothing to do with not liking it really, lol.

Yep, that one's for Periapical xD although that seems to be for digital imagery, while I'm still stuck with film xP
Digital x-ray sensors are hella expensive. One day I'll finally afford one, but for now, gotta take baby steps, hehe

We're still using panoramic x ray here in Malaysia. -_-:mufasaworried: I hate that thing to be honest.

It's great that you have digital X ray dental service Leor. :cheese:

Oh no, no one's better than the other, they're just for different purposes xD with Panoramic you can see many things you can't with Periapical, it's great for a general overview.
Sorry for the confusion :p

Near my work, there is a store of medical equipaments. One day, I had the curiosity to enter in it to see the prices of their material... And I got a very unpleasant surprise on how those devices are extremely expensive! So I imagine how expensive your xray machine was...

I always gag on the little square things no matter which tooth they're on.

I just purchased some hissing cockroaches for my classroom. I already have one from last year and he's been lonely since his friend died. So I got him some new friends that should be here next week. :D

Of course I will make a picture of every square millimeter. ^^

Sadiki

I think 250gb is going to be more than plenty for now, on my laptop I have only used 300gb in 3 years.
