Im not sure I put this thread in the right place.. but anyway.
I've just got my DVD's with TLK.. and I wonder how you make "movies" with them. I know how Windows Moviemaker works, and I know how to do a "movie" when you have the clips.
But the question is.. How do you get the clips from your DVD into Windows Moviemaker?

Getting movie clips into Windows Moviemaker is a somewhat complicated process. The easiest thing would be to find someone else with an AVI copy that they could send to you.
If you want to do it yourself, you will need learn about DVD ripping and video compression. A good site for this is http://www.afterdawn.com. If you look under their Guides section they will explain how to create a DivX or XviD file from a DVD. Once you learn the process it can take up to 5 hours for a 2.0 GHz machine to re-encode a movie so it's quite a big deal.
Once you have the actual movie file you can then Import it into WMM and play around with it.
